"Saitama-san, wo-would you like to g-go out?" You asked your shirt-less bald friend who was currently reading some manga on the floor.
"Eh?" The said man looked up at you with a bored expression, as you knocked him out of his zone, reading the Japanese literature.
"Uh.. Okay?" He answered in a question, before lazily getting up and throwing a crumpled shirt on that was found on the ground in his apartment. You blushed profusely at the sight of your friends chiseled torso and ripped abs before quickly looking away and rushing back into the kitchen where a puzzled Saitama followed you, "Eh? You okay (Y/N)?"
"Y-yeah, uh.. Where do y-you want to go?" You asked, grabbing your purse and a jacket, walking out the door into the cool breeze as the sun began to set.
"Uh, I dunno- I'm sort of hungry, I feel like dim sims, maybe noodles." He muttered as he glanced around at the people he passed by.
"Right, of course." You muttered as you turned the corner to go to the little restaurant.
"So! Uh.. Sai, Do you like anyone- I-I mean you don't have to tell me, I guess."
"Eh.. I don't know, I guess I like you? You're my friend, right?" Saitama replied as he glanced at you timidly before looking towards the restaurant with a faint blush on his cheeks.
"Right!" You chirped with faked enthusiasm that shocked Saitama before you continued, "Friends, right! Just friends, always f-friends."
Saitama watched you with his hands planted in his pockets by his sides. Eyes wide, and his eyebrows high on his forehead, and his mouth open in question.
"Are you okay, (Y/N)-chan?"
"Huh, Wha- Oh! Yeah, I'm just dandy!" You exploded, rushing off into the restaurant that now stood in front of you, lighting up your faces, making you able to see the confused look on Saitama's face.
You dashed inside and sat at a table, skimming through the menu in anger and annoyance.
Three years ago, right when Saitama became a hero he had befriended you when he saved you from a man who was half a crab and had nipples drawn on him with permanent marker. You nearly became collateral damage as the crab man nearly wiped you out of the way before Saitama swooped in and saved you.
As repayment for having him save your life, you made a deal with him- you move in with him; seeing as you weren't doing so well on your own, and you would cook for him. He obviously agreed so he wouldn't have to attempt to cook whatever he thought would be the easiest. After you had moved in and gotten settled- you had found yourself falling for him, his obliviousness made him seem so adorable and his body was just a plus. He was so kind and always thought about you, making sure you were okay.
A voice knocked you out of your day dreaming as you looked up to see the emotionless face of Saitama. He watched you, before sighing and taking a seat infront of you across the table. Neither of you spoke as you looked around the restaurant admiring all the smells and the lack of noisy people.
A waiter lazily aproached you and asked what you would like, writing down your orders before walking away. You awkwardly looked around before looking in front of you to meet Saitama's eyes.
He continued to watch you before he looked away with a faint red blush on his cheeks, "I-Is something wrong, (Y/N)?"
"I don't understand how someone could be so oblivious, Saitama."
"EH? What are you talking about?" Saitama perked up slamming his hands on the table in front of him.
"Nevermind.." You muttered, leaning back and scraping the wood off of the table with your nails. Minutes later the waiter came back, placing the plates of food on the table, dim sims and chicken teriyaki noodles and left but not before speaking out with a wink, "Enjoy your date!"
You froze, feeling the warmth flowing onto your cheeks as you snuck a glance at Saitama who simply stared at the waiter as she walked way, before he dug straight into his food.
You sighed again, and louder making the man glance at you and then your food, "You gonna eat that?"
"Saitama! Do you not care that she called this a date?!" You raised your voice, causing Saitama to stop- half a noodle string hanging out of his mouth.
"Eh? Does it matter, you want this to be a date?" He asked, scratching his chin, looking away in thought.
"Yeah, I-I mean I guess? If thats what you want?" You spoke shyly, feeling your heart beating faster by the minute.
"Okay." He shrugged in response and you felt your frustration building at how little he seemed to care.
"Okay? W-what do you mean?" You questioned, leaning forward on the table, no longer having an appetite on the food in front you.
"Eh, you gonna eat that (Y/N)-chan?" He questioned again, waving his chopsticks in the air, gesturing to your food.
You looked down and sighed for what seemed for the thousandth time today, having enough of the vague answers. You wordlessly pushed your food towards him and he shrugged, reaching over, eating your food slowly as he watched your reaction for his actions, wondering why you weren't bothering with him.
After the food was finished he sighed, placing his chopsticks on the table, and shoving the amount of money down to pay before getting up and grabbing your hand, he pulled you away from the table and walked out the restaurant where you wordlessly followed him watching what he was doing.
By the time you were already down the street, you tried to stop Saitama but his strength was too much- which was expected from the superhero. You yelped and tried to get away, release his grip but it seemed that you had angered the man- which was sort of rare.
"Saitama! Stop!" He stopped and became still, releasing his grip on your hand and turning to face you, breathing out fiercely through his nose.
"I'll ask you again (Y/N), what's wrong?!" Saitama yelled, raising his voice and startling you.
"What's wrong? You are so god damn oblivious!" You yelled back, nearing his face noticing his amazing jaw line and his eyes that pierced into you.
He became baffled at your statement, feeling insulted that you- his dear friend would say such a thing, "Oblivious?! To what, what does that even mean!"
You growled as you threw your little tantrum standing in your spot- throwing your arms around as your eyebrows scrunched up in frustration, "Oblivious to how I feel about you! It started three years ago, you haven't even noticed!"
All anger seemed to disappear as his eyes widened and he stared at the ground, scratching his forehead seeming so lost all of a sudden, "Eh? Yo- you're feelings..?" He stuttered, now suddenly perplexed at your confession.
"Jeez, Sai. Hon-"
Your words were cut short when the bald hero placed his finger over you lips- temporarily keeping you quiet, as you watched what he was doing. You tried to open your mouth again before he began speaking over you causing you to shut your mouth and be forced to listen.
"(Y/N)-chan, maybe you're the oblivious one? You never noticed why I let you into my home, to live with me? Why such a petty deal like letting you stay to make me food made me agree automatically... I let you in because you made me feel things I never felt before. You never noticed me staring at you when I was supposed to be reading my manga or watching TV. You never noticed what you presence does to me. You are so oblivious."
You stared at him expecting him to go on as your whole face became red. Listening to your heart beat racing in your ears- becoming even more red at the thought of Saitama being able to hear your hummingbird heartbeat.
He simply stared with his brow lowered, staring into your eyes with so much seriousness but also passion and truth.
With no sign of rejection, he leaned forward so agonisingly slow while staring at your lips that were craving his. He filled the gap and reached you, your lips being held captive in his warm ones. You could feel him smiling a little as you held him and kissed back and that was the first kiss of many to come in the future.
