You both seemed to be captivated at first sight.

Ever since Lucy had been able to acquire Leo the Lion as one of her golden keys, you had been absolutely infatuated by him. His orange, golden hair stuck up perfectly like a Lions mane, his blue glasses only brought his eyes out more and his tuxedo made you feel things you had never felt before. To be honest you thought the Celestial spirit king was drop dead gorgeous, not that you could speak that out loud when Lucy happened to be your best friend.

You were somewhat embarrassed when you found out how much your heart desired the Lion but now you just had to keep it to yourself. Who knows what would happen when people found out you were practically in love with a celestial spirit. It wasn't like you had a chance anyway because whenever Lucy summoned him or he came on his own, he would simply talk about how much he loves and protects Lucy, his voice had a chill going down your spine but his words made you grimace in irritation.

Was the declarations of love directed to Lucy all true, or was it just because he had a contract with her just like all the other spirits. You didn't really bother to ask when you always felt as if you weren't even on the same level as him. Honestly, He was the king of the Zodiacs.. And you were just you, a wizard of Fairy Tail who only did as she was asked and helped her friends when it was needed.

You were always careful when you would ask Lucy to summon Leo so she didn't think you were obsessed with him but you couldn't help it. Your mind said no, stop what your doing! But your heart was always faster and the words just sped out of your mouth without control.

"So.. How's Leo doing.?"

Lucy smiled your way as she sat by your side and you were cautious about the volume of your voice so others wouldn't hear.

"He's great!! He's so strong and helpful- though he could seriously take a break from flirting with me, even though I know my inner and outer beauty is amazing!" She answered in glee, grinning wth her eyes closed. You laughed quietly at her answer, your mood turning a bit sour at the memories of the times Leo would flirt with Lucy and call her his 'Princess.'

Lucy seemed to observe your sad looking face and grinned wickedly as secretly summoned the Lion without your knowledge. Lost in your thoughts surrounding the golden haired spirit, you yelped in surprise when you noticed the said man standing right across from you.

"You summoned me, Prince- Oh, hey (Y/N), you look especially beautiful today." He spoke coolly but seemed to light up visibly at the sight of you next to his key holder. You smiled lightly with a red face but while Lucy giggled beside you, Leo noticed your previous emotion change.

"What's wrong, who hurt you!?"

"Huh? Wha- No one! I'm fine!" You lied through your teeth, the only truth being that you were actually feeling a tiny bit better in the presence of the Zodiac King.

"Lucy.. Why did you Su-summon him?" You questioned, fiddling with your fingers while Lucy continued to giggled at you- wiggling her eyebrows as she averted her eyes in between you and a curious looking Leo.

"I don't know, you seemed a bit lonely! Leo is good company right?" She smirked, nudging you with her shoulders and Leo smirked back, puffing his chest out as Lucy inflated his already huge ego.

"Uh, sure I guess, maybe to you anyway.." You murmured when you looked away embarrassed at how rude you probably sounded.

Leo seemed to smirk even more when he observed you green looking face that showed jealousy and Lucy only looked at you startled by you answer, unsure of how to reply.

Things got awkward fast and you didn't know what you say, you mind was going crazy with millions of thoughts flowing by the minute and you were feeling absolutely flustered by the well - dressed spirits stare that seemed to pierce into your soul and melt you from inside out.

You loved the feeling that came with his unending stares but sometimes they made you a bit too optimistic, thinking that maybe you did have a chance against Lucy or any other drooling woman caught staring at Leo.

Your day dreaming begun to replay in your mind with Lucy and Leo's attention shifting into a fighting Dragon Slayer with an Ice Mage. You just didn't notice the way Leo always managed to catch a glimpse of you and at the amusing fight at the same time.

- FlashBack -

"Hi! I'm Lucy Heartfilia and you are?" The celestial wizard eagerly asked with a delightful smile on her face.

You smiled back, feeling warmth spread inside you at how friendly you new guild members were towards you. You opened your mouth and answered, "I'm (Y/N) (L/N)! I'm so happy to be apart of the guild!"

Lucy giggled and got closer to you, already feeling at ease with your happy aura. Her jaw lowered when she was about to speak but then it closed abruptly when you noticed a handsome - and you mean, handsome, male standing beside her.

His orange hair was spiked up almost resembling a Lions mane and you could've sworn it had a tinge of golden. He wore blue glasses and had on a sleek black tuxedo. The man looked like he had class and he wore an amazing smile that instantly rendered you silent.

"Loke! What are you doing here?" Lucy asked in a voice that shifted between confusion, annoyance and irritation. The man smirked towards the lady and opened his mouth to answer when he felt stares piercing his face causing him to look right at you.

You watched his eyes widen at the sight of you only standing a metre away looking at him like a child in a candy store. The man, 'Loke,' Lucy had said, smiled at you with a mischievous looking grin that made your knees buckle.

He seemed to thrive off of your reactions to his smile and only did it more to amuse him. He couldn't deny how mesmerising and beautiful he thought you looked and it only made him happier to get this reaction.

"Was your father a thief? 'Cause someone stole the stars from the sky and put them in your eyes."

You literally choked on your saliva at his cheesy pick up line, laughing as you tried to get your breath back and the man watched with a shocked expression when he expected you to practically throw yourself onto him.

"I..I'm Loke, or Leo the Lion." He uttered with a shade of red on his cheeks when he avoided eye contact.

You smiled anyway, breathing in and holding you hand out to shake when you replied, "(Y/N) (L/N), pleasure to meet you, King of the Zodiacs- or Leo."

He shook your hand with ease and seemed to relax at your touch, feeling pleased when he heard your soft voice say his name.

"Lucy, as long as Leo is around- your my new best friend." You whispered towards her as she stood by the whole time, bewildered at the fact that Loke had basically ignored her entire existence. She chuckled nonetheless and grew proud of the fact that the spirit would no longer flirt with her anymore.

- Now -

"So..-"

The Lion spirit spoke loudly, leaning towards you to get your attention, awakening you from your day dream as he continued.

"(Y/N) I have a serious question for you."

The emotionless expression on his face caused your back to straighten in anticipation and you nodded feebly so he could  go on.

Your brows furrowed when his mouth broke into a cheeky smile as he delivered his question, secretly hoping to get the same reaction from your first meeting, "Was your father a thief? 'Cause someone stole the stars from the sky and put them in your eyes."

You unconsciously rolled your eyes and looked away when Natsu had burnt a couple tables and Gray was flinging his clothes off of his body.

Sudden warmth filled your hand and you looked towards it to see how sincere Leo's eyes looked when he stared at you with that loving smile he was usually throwing at Lucy.

"I mean it this time.. Go on a date with me, (Y/N)?"

Shocked, puzzled and disbelief were the only things you could comprehend. His words rang threw your mind and the answer was right on the tip of your tongue but Leo seemed to take you silence and dumbfounded expression as a rejection.

Feeling his hand loosen on yours, you quickly tightened your grip causing the man to watch you with a raised brow, already looking defeated from the silence he received.

"Leo, I've been waiting for you to ask that." You uttered quietly with a smile growing.

Leo smiled back, entwining your fingers together with a blushing face and you blushed, turning your face away from the wizards eyes when people began cheering for you and Lucy erupted in fangirling squeals.
