(Y/N) had been waiting all day for this, at least that what you would like to admit. You had actually been waiting at least a month and a half.

Edward and Alphonse were gone exploring and researching more things on alchemy and alca-history, they promised they would try to visit as much as they could but this was a tad too long for you.

You were staying in the Rockbell household- with Granny Pinako and Winry and would never admit it but the blonde-haired mechanic slightly intimidated you. You knew of how she felt about Edward- or used to feel, it scared you sometimes because of how smart and beautiful she was, that someday Edward would realise how much he needed her instead of you. Or how useless your presence really was around them all.

Edward completed you- you were the half that was broken and had no meaning, therefore Edward was the half that made you feel like you truly mattered.

And then their was Alphonse. The boy that looked up to you, he was definitely your best friend- you would provide him with strength and tranquility, but also advice and life lessons.

Staring out the window, looking out at the path that led to the vast green land, you kept wondering what was taking them so long. Tomorrow would mark the day of your six year anniversary with Ed and you wanted to spend it with him, you wanted to be with him all the time but you didn't want to say anything in case you might've seemed clingy- you didn't want to seem like a clingy girlfriend. You guessed you were just a bit insecure.

After daydreaming for God knows how many hours, some laughter and barking shook you from your imagination. Looking back to the front of the house again, your eyes widened when you saw Edward and Alphonse greeting Den outside, laughing as the cute, little dog jumped up at them in excitement.

Your breath leaped in your throat when Edward looked up at the house with a small smile on his face. His golden bangs flowed with the breeze and having somehow felt your stare- he looked straight at you.

Tears stung in your eyes but you kept them down as you got up and ran to the front door where the two boys were waiting for you.

"Hey (Y/N)" Edward spoke first with so much longing in his golden orbs.

"Long time no see!" Alphonse chirped from beside him, before throwing in a huge, toothy grin.

Before anyone could react, you suddenly jumped on them, earning a surprised yelp from the two before you wrapped your arms around their necks, pulling them into a warm group hug- finally happy to be reunited with your favourite people in the world.

It was now night time- 2:01am read the clock that hung on the wall- it was also the day you two got together six year ago.
Laying on the single bed, Edward laid on his back with one arm propped behind his head while the other was snugly wrapped around your waist. No matter how hard you tried, you couldn't reach the unconsciousness that was sleep- not that you wanted to anyway.

Edward had been telling you about his trips all over Amestris and you laid, buried into his side listening to him speak. With one arm tightly holding his torso you turned your head into his warm body and gently kissed his body, loving how protected you felt.

You could feel him chuckling- or maybe giggling, in a manly way of course; just to protect his ego. He leaned down and planted multiple kisses on your head.

"(Y/N) (L/N)..." His voice croaked out into the darkness. You could feel his arm tighten around your waist, and how much his heart had sped up.
Was Edward nervous?

In one unthinkable movement, you used the arm that you wrapped around your boyfriend to haul yourself up and placed one leg over the other side of him so that now you were straddling the boy.

Edward's eyes widen at the new position but did nothing to move away or stop- in fact he moved his arm to your waist, where your thigh met your torso.

"Edward Elric." You spoke, just above a whisper- just to be cautious of the other Elric that was sleeping in his bed on the other side of the room.
Despite how many years passed since the accident that disfigured the Elric brothers, they couldn't find themselves to move bedrooms or be away from each other in their sleep.

Edward smiled warmly at you, slightly blushing at your direct gaze to his unclothed body and then to his face; his golden eyes, his cute and slightly curved nose and then his thin but pink lips you always found yourself craving.

You smiled back at him when you stopped staring at his lips but then found him doing the exact same thing as you. Leaning down you placed your lips onto his, savouring the taste and the feeling it gave you.
How after so many kisses you still felt like a little school girl kissing your crush for the first time. You often wondered what his answer would be if you asked if you could do this for the rest of your lives.

Leaning back up, to get your breath, you spoke out again.

"Edward Elric.... I like your last name.." You whispered shyly. Watching him and his reaction to your slightly odd confession.

He blushed and gave a small, toothy smile, moving his hand from your waist to the pocket of his sweat pants. You gave a questioning glance at his nervous antics again but then found yourself getting lost in his eyes, so lost you didn't even notice the small, black box he has pulled out of his pocket.

"Keep it. It suites you." He said with a strong voice but a gentle smile. He chuckled at your confused gaze before you looked down to feel him grabbing your left hand after he had opened the box to pull out a golden ring with smaller diamonds encrusted around a bigger, shiny rock.

Your breath got caught in your throat as you watched him roll the ring onto your left ring finger, admiring the ring while you stared in shock, eyes wide at what was happening.

"O- Oh my.." You stuttered with tears suddenly springing into your eyes. Edward chuckled again at your reaction but also watched you, still wondering if you were okay with what was happening.

"Ed..?"

"What do you say (Y/N)?" Edward asked with a crack in his voice. No wonder he was so nervous before!

"I-I Can't- Oh my God! Yes, Edward Yes!" You sprung on him, swinging your arms around his neck to hug him, nuzzling your face into his neck and he breathed out a sigh in relief he seemed to have been holding in.

"Good. Equivalent Exchange (Y/N), I'll give you my life, if you give me yours."

You leaned back to stare into his eyes, with a smile on your face- tears running down your face "I love you so much Edward."

He smiled while using his thumb to wipe the tears away before he answered.
"And I love you. Happy Anniversary."

Walking down the stairs the next morning, you couldn't keep your gaze away from the new ring you had gotten on your finger. With Winry and Ed making breakfast, Alphonse had found you staring at your hand.

With excitement running through the boy, knowing what had happened due to the first-hand experience of how nervous Edward was, he grabbed your hand and yelled out, loud enough for everyone in the house to hear.

"Finally! Edward was holding that thing for what? Almost three months!"

You gasped in surprise and smiled at the thought of Edward being so nervous to propose to you but that was cut short when Edward came flying in the room, waving a spatula around- dashing straight toward his younger brother with a very noticeable red blush covering his face.

"AL! GET BACK HERE!"
