Dear Readers,

I have always known that reader likes and preferences vary widely. That, perhaps more than anything, gave rise to a rich diversity of literature and writers.

But I have also wondered how that might affect the results of writing contests, such as the many hosted on WattPad. Data from a recent contest provided a way to assess that, although to a limited extent. The contest was called "Beat the Judge", organized by @knotanumber on the Earnesty Community profile.

Unfortunately, the Earnesty Community account disappeared for some reason, but the contest continued anyway.

I worked up the blinded data and a report is attached. Thanks to @knotanumber for sharing the data and initial review.
