Varian Pov

Angels and Demons have lived in our city for as long as anyone can remember. I live with my dad at the edge of the city and in my backyard, there is a fence around our city. 

And on the other side is the demon's city and every young Angel has one rule and that's don't talk to a demon and especially don't fall in love with one.

At first, I listened to them because what I learned about them was never good. but one day I learned that you can't always judge a book by its cover.

Present-day

I was chasing Ruddiger in the backyard trying to get my goggles back when I heard a giggle. I went to the fence where on the other side is hell. Ruddiger came onto my shoulders and gave me my goggles back. I put them back on my head and was about to go back inside when I heard it again. 

I nervously grasped the fence and managed to choke something up. "H-hello?"  "Hi handsome." it was a girl but she was a demon. Her h/c hair matches her beautiful e/c eyes perfectly. And she was wearing a tomboy kind of outfit. "Y-your a demon." I stammered feeling my cheeks burn.

"No, I'm an angel." She said playfully but sarcastic at the same time. "I-i shouldn't be talking to you." I stammered but sounded firm. "Neither should I but do you see anyone here?" She smirked knowing she was right. 

"Why are you talking to me in the first place?" I questioned. "1. because you're cute." She smirked while flirting. My face flushed but I soon shook off my blush. "2. because hell is so bad and I hate it here." I looked at her surprised. She's different from what everyone has told me. 

I looked at her with pity. "And 3. I don't have any friends." She looked at the ground while saying that. I smiled at her. "I'll be your friend if you want." 

"Varian." I held my hand out for her to shake.

"Y/n L/n." She grasped it and we shook hands.

But what I didn't know was this was the start of something big.

~1 year later~

We would always meet up at the fence and just talk. Eventually, my friend Rapunzel soon found out but she said she wouldn't say anything. Same as y/n except it was Eugene and now the four of us would meet up and talk or play around.

 I and y/n knew Raps and Eugene liked each other. Rapunzel would also tease me about my crush on Y/n but we both know that it's illegal and it broke both of our hearts. We just wished we could be together but it's impossible.

or at least I thought.

I ran to the fence and found y/n, Eugene, and Rapunzel chatting. "Oh hey, Varian your late." I panted a little bit and looked up.

The Fence

It's gone?!

I looked at Rapunzel for an explanation. "I was able to convince my parent's that we shouldn't be divided." But before I could say anything else Y/n came up to me hugged me. "Guess your mine now." She whispered in my ear. She then started to pull away but I pulled her back and kissed her.

"I love you Y/n."

"I love you too dork."
