Chapter 7

Sprig Break: the time were snowy plants melt and flowers blossom. When the cold and frozen lake turns into a fresh crystal pool. Kids go out and play in the parks. Tourism reaches it peak. And the coffee shops are open early in the morning.
Snowburries lodge is my ultimate favorite cafe. I like sitting near the window that looks out into the forest. It gives me time to think in peace. It was 5:00 am and the sun was just coming up. Every first day of spring break the cafe open at 5:00 so that all customers have a chance to experience the first spring sunrise.
The forest here in Carltus is beautiful. The grass and leaves are evergreen. Trees can be as tall as 30 feet. When it rains everything is humid, soft raindrops drip from the leaves like water slides. From here you could only see the facade of the forest but these one runs deep.

A blink of light makes me suck a deep breath. I couldn't move even less talk. I pushed the chair backwards a little too fast and caught everyone's attention at the dinner. I grabbed a ten dollar bill and stormed out of the local. Ever since the incident I have been in a constant paranoia. I feel stiff and anxious all the time. An the worst thing is that my curiosity had spiked more when another flicker of light appear deep into the forest. The leafs cracked with every stepped I take. The flicker was still there. My first thought was god. But then I remembered that god just doesn't appear like this. I reached forward my body tempted to touch this thing standing in front of me. As soon as my fingers grazed the light it vanished into thin air. I let out a shriek. I stormed out of the forest and runned as fast as I could. I had no way of telling if this was real or just a ilussion. My heart pounded my hands shaked. I stumbled and tumbled but managed to halt to a stop to catch my breath.
" ugh. Watch out this is a new case!"
A group of teenagers were standing near a bunch of nice looking cars. Great the preps had arrived.
" I am sorry. You were standing there and I didn't see you. I thought it was just a pile."
" Well, I am a very good looking "pole". Thanks for the compliment." She rolled her green eyes and flipped her hair. Why does this sound so stereotypical.
" lets go ladies!" A brown haired guy hooted.
The group started to leave but a sticking familiar head appear from behind a black Range Rover. Brown hair with beautiful golden light. Noah Halrden gave me a sideways glance and gave me a half smile and walked up the local diners doors. In that moment I felt a huge rush of embarrassment for some unknown reason.

Idk if anyone's reading these but I am gonna keep writing anyway. Peace. Btw I am having some ideas for a new book so I'll update a post when I do.
