Chapter 14
We were currently sitting next to a fire that Irvene had made herself. The flames rose above our heads and the smoke lingered in the sky. She was shuffling around some papers that. She told me she had ripped them off a library book back at Fornax.
" What exactly are we doing out here in the forest in the middle of the night?"
" Ok. We are in the forest because if anything goes wrong nobody gets hurt or suspicious, and to your question for what we are doing here at 1:00 am. Well, you know in movies all the great stuff happens during the night. I wanted to set the ambient."
" Why would we even need to set and ambient. I thought we were going to take a walk."
" According to your aunt, we are taking a walk. Between us two. we are practicing some magic."
she carefully kicked some dirt into the fire pit, making the flames fade a little. She walked straight to me and gave me an encouraging nod.
" Okay, here goes nothing." she picked up a page and started reading. " Look inside your head. Find anything that gives you a tingly sensation or a hidden word or picture in the back of your mind. Some of our deepest secrets are carefully tucked inside our brains. Picture yourself searching for something you've lost. Something you yearn to find."
her voice slowly faded away and it was only me and my head. A soft and warm feeling aroused from my toes all the way to my hips. As it traveled higher it started to turn cold. My skin started to feel cold, goose bumps appeared on my forearms and on my crook of the neck. A cold breeze nearly knocked the air out of my lungs. My head keeps spinning and thinking. I need to make it stop! but I can't. My mind is way to powerful, I am useless. So I just stand there waiting for this to stop.
An empty feeling inside my throat made me feel like I wanted to choke. A rush, a very powerful force speed up its way. I couldn't hold it any longer. It was about to explode. An ear pitching scream filled the air with tension. The ground around me trembled. The world started to spin. The trees swoosh and swayed in different directions. Blows of wind kept spilling out of my mouth. Trunks, grass, things were flying everywhere. And when the emptiness disappeared I finally regained control of myself. I panted like a wild animal. I even felt like one. My chest burned and my eyes stung with tears. The fire was out, I could hear the faint sound of crackling.
Irvene stood shocked. She was motionless for a few minutes. We stared at each other both with matching looks of surprised. But there was one thing she was missing. Fear. She slowly walked up to me and carefully pulled me into an embrace. My sobs filled the killer silence. My chest rose and fall in agony. Irvene was gentle y patting my messy hair.
" Shhhh. It's okay. I'm here."
And she was. But at this moment nothing matters. It was more than physical pain. It was the pain in my heart, in my head, and soul. I felt lost. I felt like a threat.

We walked in silence back to the main road. It was still dark outside. And the small songs of the crickets were slowly chirping in the background.
" I'm so so sorry Reign, I had no idea it would affect you like this." her pleading voice echoed in the night sky.
" Irvene, I can't blame you for trying to help."
" I know. But I still feel guilty."
" The only thing that worries me now is trying to figure out what was all that."
she sighed and stopped her tracks.
" I never heard of something like this. It's normally not this strong."
" Well, maybe my power is the wind or something. Like Hurricanes"
she let out a small laugh.
" All sandlights apart from shining and breathing underwater, have an element. Apparently, you have air. Wich is great. But your hidden one is still there lurking in the deepest parts of your body."
Who would've guessed that after everything that just happened, the reason why were here still remains unknown.
