It has been a week since I last saw Irvene. And still, there was no sign of her. I tried to look up anything that had to do with and lights, but the only thing that appears were candles and pictures of dogs taking selfies. This was crap! I was played by a fool.
" Reign there is someone at the front door looking for you"
it couldn't be Lauren she was out with her mother for the whole day. No one else had a reason to visit me. I reached the front door and surprisingly Irvene was at the front door with a flowery dress and a pie. She waved in a circular way.
" Hey, stranger! I was telling your aunt how nice you were last week at the market. You know being new in town can be hard." She smiled at my aunt and handed her the pie.

" Fresh from the oven. It's caramel apple."

" Thank You Irvene, you are a sweetheart. Come on in"

Aunt Sophia stepped aside and softly closed the door. She headed towards the kitchen and quickly turned around smiling warmly at us.

" Make yourself at home"

We were currently in my room eating sour patches that I had in my secret candy storage aka under the underwear drawer.
" We should go shopping. I've always wanted to walk around a mall. With thousands of shopping bags." She giggled. Lord help me. No one I mean no one shipped like Isla fisher in COAS ( confessions of a shopaholic).
" Sure we can go sometime."
She started snooping around the room. Looking under the bed. Opening the bathroom door. She stopped at my nightstand.
" I know this book." She picked up the danish folktales my aunt gave me. " We used to read them at the academy." She smiled like a little child talking about his first day of school.
Trying to change the subject I shifted in a criss-cross way.
" So you like a guy at school back home." Lauren likes to talk about this stuff so I supposed she likes it too.
" actually, I've never met a guy before. Well apart from my little brother Samuel and my cousin. And he is the only guy I know my age. And it's just the same way for them." She sat next to me and put a strand of her behind her ear.
" We don't go to school with guys and vice-versa. We barely see them. We aren't allowed to hang together until we get to college which for me is after this summer. And you and your friend can come and meet some guys. Unless you have one in here. Anyway, So we never see each other. It is a very strict society. But we all care for each other. Except some." She whispered the last part. I grabbed her face and made her look at my eyes.
" what do you mean by "some".
She looked at me and said
" There is a rumor that a group of rebels living on the outside of Fornax is planning on making a move against and lights and even some will-o'-the-wisps that live there." She nervously bit her nail. This was the first time she was so quite.
" But like I said it is only talking." She flopped on the bed.
" you're maybe right. People tend to make small things bigger than hey appear." I said this trying to comfort her. She suddenly sits up straight and shoots me a mischievous smile.
" Any plans for tonight? C'mon I know that big parties are thrown here. We should go for an hour or so and then we come back and eat some pizza and watch some Netflix." Wow, she has been here for only 1 hour and she is already more informed than me.
" Okay. We will go it sounds fun." I smiled and laughed along.

" It will be fun. Trust me I am not a fan of parties but once in a while it feels nice to go out." she grabbed my hand and pulled me out the bedroom and straight to the front door. She was right this could be fun. And hey, there would be pizza and Netflix after so why not.
