Note; I will be posting a song for each chapter. leave a comment if you know it.

Aunt Sophia was making scallops again for dinner. I hate seafood, but she says "

Living in the mountains has its perks, but you have to admit we rarely have any seafood, it is so tasty". But honestly, I think she gets them out of date, they reek of death.

" I can make some soup if you'd like"I suggest sweetly praying that she will agree. I am not a big fan of seafood.

" No, No, I have it covered"

I never met my parents but I live with my aunt, she's an astrologist based in a small town north to Utah and in the border in Colorado. But I go to school in a city 30 min away from home.

Home. I love my cabin, surrounded by the smell of fresh balsam, and snowy pine trees. There's a lake nearby, during the summer I invite my city friends over and we do a bunch of water activities. Most kids during winters Ice Skate but I've never been too good at that so I prefer to stay at home and read.

The school week is pretty calm here in Carltus but during weekends a bunch of rich kids from different towns come to their luxury cabins near the lake to spend the weekends. I live in the mountains so I am spared from the spoiledness and their parties.

" Darling wait a second, I brought you a gift" she reached for a brown paper bag underneath the kitchen counter.

" It's a book of fairytales, and legends from a tribe that gave me a tour in the glaciers"

"Thanks, aunt Sophia, It is very pretty". And it really was, it had a picture of the sky and lines of constellations that were creating a shape of a horse. "legendary of stjernerne" this could be my summer reading, at least it had tons of drawings.

" Now go to bed, tomorrow starts the last week of school and you don't wanna be late". she gently kissed my forehead and I walked up the stairs. I brushed my caramel colored hair and brushed my teeth. I stared into the mirror. I've always enjoyed making figures with my face. When I was little my aunt used to say that my freckles were constellations, that I was like a book holding a bunch of secrets. I traced the lines of them feeling the gentle touch of my warm fingers on my cold face. I have always known I was pretty. Not in a way that everybody at the room stares but in an exotic kind of pretty. Different but pretty. But the outside isn't what matters. I have always been a person who likes more the personality of a person, it's intentions all of that matters most than looks. looks are the cake's icing, it's what makes it look tasty and pretty. But you only know if it's good until you taste. And trust me, they don't always taste good.
I turned off the lights and fell asleep in total darkness.
