Kassidy Byers didn't quite fit in a mold. Having  been adopted by Joyce Byers, who had a three year old son Jonathan, when she was three. But unlike Jonathan most people didn't call her a freak, although, she'd rather spend her time with alone or her little brother and his friends then go shopping, or hang out with other teenagers. She loved the supernatural, her brother's friends called her an expert on it. Which is one reason she spends her weekends watching the boys-Her Brother Will, Mike, Dustin, and Lucas-play D&D. Most people said she was crazy, but she knew she was just different.
That's why one night when a distressed Dustin shows up telling her come quick they found some weirdo in the woods and Mike won't let them get rid of her. She's not very surprised.
