Chapter 5 Enoch's Wife Moves On!

One year later,  Enoch's wife decides it is about time she found a new man!  What is the point in remaining alone for  no reason?   It is not like he would want her to mope anyway, right?  She gets online and enters her age, name, etc. into an online dating site.

When it comes to the martial status part she is not sure what to put so she just says single. She figures she might as well as she has been without Enoch for a year by now.  She brushes her hair, smiles, takes a selfie and post it so people can know what she looks like.

A few days later, she sees a few responses. One is from some man who wants to know if she still of child bearing age?  She laughs and sends a quick no!  She sees two other good ones. She decides to give the second one a chance.  It is about time she tells herself that she moves on!

Saturday morning, she gets up, and prepares for her date that day!  She is nervous, but full of excitement.  She might as well figure out what to wear soon!  The last she wants is to be late for her own date!  It has been years since she was last out!   She feels like  a silly, school girl about to meet her boyfriend!

Only in this case, she is not sure if  she should go with the light blue eye shadow or forgo the makeup altogether!   She is not sure if the guy wants to bowl or skate after the meal.   All he told her was to wear something nice!   As if this helps, almost all her clothes are nice in their own way.  She selects the light blue dress, blue leggings, blue boots, and decides to pull her hair up in a bun.  She also, leaves off the eye shadow.  She hopes this guy is as pleasant as he seems online in person.

She takes one last look in the mirror, grabs her purse, a sweater and heads out the door. She locks the door, and drives to the restaurant. She is glad the car is out of the shop for a change.  At least, this way she does not have to walk to meet him.  She whistles a bit as she pulls up a few minutes later outside the place.  She thinks, well so far so good!  She laughs at the irony of the name to the joint  as the sign reads  Seth's  Satisfactory  Salads, Soups, Sandwichs & More!   She parks, gets out, locks the door, and heads inside with her purse in tote. She wears the sweater too since it has gotten a bit chilly out lately.

Once inside she takes a look around her!  She does hope her date is on time !  Otherwise, her punctuality might come across as a bit  rude. The last thing she wants is to come across as desperate for that matter.  She sees him approach in a nice pair of  navy blue paints, a red shirt, tie, and jacket.  She happens to notice he also has on blue shoes with a red stripe down the middle of them.  She thinks, well at least I know he dresses as nice as I do.

"Hello, I am Marcus and you must be Miss Rosa."  He says.

"yes, that is me!  Nice to meet you too."  She remarks.

The two are glad when someone says, "Just two?"

"Yes, it is just myself and my lovely date here!"  Marcus remarks.

"Okay, well, right this way then!"  The waitress, a Hannah says.

Marcus and Rosa sit down.  They take a look at the menu and soon order their meal.  As they wait for the food to be ready, Marcus says,  " To be honest, I am a widower.  I hope this does not offend you.  I know I never brought this up on the website."

"Oh, I am okay with it.  To be honest I was married once myself, but my husband went missing one day!  He never did return.  It has been a year."  Rosa says.

"Hmm, well, then it seems we kinda have something in common."  Marcus says.

The two talk back and forth, until the food arrives.   "I have a swiss on wheat with tomato, cucumber, and olives   with a side of chips.   Also, I have a cheddar on  wheat with tomato, lettuce, and mayonnaise, with a side of  french fries." The waitress, Hannah says.

"Oh, the swiss on wheat is mine!"  Rosa says. She smiles when Hannah places it in front of her.

"Good, then, this must be yours sir."  Hannah remarks, as she places the other sandwich in front of Marcus.

Hannah leaves, so the two may enjoy a nice quiet meal together.  Hannah hopes everything works out between those too.  She just hates to see someone that much in love without each other.  She thinks, maybe they are in love!  Then, again what does she know as it is the first time she has ever seen either one of them.

After the meal, which Marcus pays for despite Rosa's  protest, the two go out to the parking lot.  Marcus notices her car will not start. He feels sorry for her.  He drives her to the florist in his car where he buys her six lovely, roses!

Then, he takes her out skating.  She thinks good thing I wore the leggings since those are more sensible for skates than hoses any day.  She slips her rented skates on over the socks she has on with her outfit, ties the laces and off she goes!

Marcus jaw drops!   He is very impressed with how well she skates!  He thinks, she must have done this before at some point.  He puts his skates on, ties the laces, and joins her.  He does not notice the other skaters go past.  He just keeps his eyes on Rosa!  He might as well, since she is one pretty date!

"Wow, you skate very well!"  Marcus says.

"What?  Do you really think so?"  Rosa ask.

"Yes, I can tell you do.  I mean when you skate is like watching an angel."  Marcus says.

"Why thank you young man.  I do not think I am quite all that, but still thank you. " Rosa remarks.

The rest of the date goes well.   In fact, it goes so well they agree to  go out more often!

Later, after Marcus drops Rosa off at her place, she lets her family know about the date and all cheer her on big time!  It seems they are all happy to her she is finally able to move on!

                  The end....

*Author's  Note:  Sorry, this is so short.  It is just that is all the imagination that I could come up with when it comes to such a thing, it was a challenge to be honest to even get  five chapters written for this Biblical Fiction story,  Vanished Never to Be Seen Again!
