Location: his irl house

I let out a sigh as I sank down onto my couch. With a slight frown, I pulled out my phone and scrolled through my YouTube notifications. I noticed that some of the most recent uploads from some big YouTubers were a few days ago. Three to be exact. This piqued my interest. Why would two YouTubers that regularly made videos to upload every day suddenly stop on the same day? After a bit more searching, I discovered two more YouTubers who were the same case. Pewdiepie, PopularMMOS, DanTDM, and CaptainSparklez didn't have any videos after April 1st.

I glanced at the calendar. It was already April 3rd and April Fool's Day had passed. Why would they have uploaded April Fool's Day prank videos and then go silent?

I narrowed my eyes and pulled up Discord. Typing quickly, I messaged Mumbo that I had noticed something odd.

Moments later, he responded, "What's up, Grian?"

"did you notice that some of the big YouTubers haven't uploaded since the first?" I immediately sent.

He remained silent as he presumably tried to think over what I had just said. "Who?" he finally asked.

"Pewdiepie, Popularmmos, Dantdm, and CaptainSparklez" I answered.

Mumbo remained quiet as he went to check this out. "you're right" he said. "that's not normal"

"do you have any ideas as to why four of the biggest YouTubers with Minecraft content just went MIA?"

"No, I don't..." He paused for a moment. "I think we need to share this info with some more people" "Maybe post a video?"

"I feel like that would be jumping too far ahead" I replied.

"I think we should just let other youtubers know about this and keep it quiet to the fans who don't watch them"

"agreed"

"okay, who's telling the other hermits?"

"Not it."

"aw, man! I dont wanna do it :("

"Too late Grian, you have to do it :)"

"I hate you Mumbo"

"No you don't"

"you're right" "but you are an absolute spoon sometimes"

"lol go tell the other hermits" "I'll look for evidence as to why they've gone missing"

"k"

Grian put down his phone and headed over to his computer. He sat down and opened up Discord. He decided to not alarm many people at once and instead got in a group chat with the hermits he was closest to.

He told them the same thing he told Mumbo: that Pewdiepie, DanTDM, PopularMMOS, and CaptainSparklez had all stopped posting videos after April first.

Iskall was the first to respond: "that's weird"

Scar spoke next. "why would they all disappear without a word anywhere?"

Doc typed, "is there any mention on any of their social media?"

"I don't know" I answered. "help me check"

I hit the voice call button and waited for them all to join before heading to the mentioned YouTubers' social media pages.

None of them could find anything after April first. And the posts that were on the first were not related in the slightest to a reason behind disappearing.

"Okay guys," I said aloud to the other hermits in the call. "I think we need to remain silent about this to our fans for now until it becomes obvious that something's wrong."

"Agreed," Scar said.

"Yeah," Iskall responded.

A few moments of silence fell over us.

"So we just stay silent about this to our fans? What about other YouTubers?" Doc spoke up.

"Uhm," I began, leaning back in my chair. "With other biggish YouTubers, it's fine but smaller ones and fans, don't mention anything," I answered.

"So basically," Scar started. "Don't mention this in our videos?"

"Yeah," I answered.

"Got it," he said before falling silent.

"This is weird, man, I have a feeling this is going to go wrong," Doc said.

"Hopefully we'll be able to figure this all out and find out how to get them all back safe," I said.

"I have to go, guys, see you," Iskall said.

"Bye, Iskall," I said.

"Bye," Scar called.

Doc bid him farewell also and the swede left the call. After a bit more exchanging of concerned words, we left the call too.

I let out a sigh. It was time to tell Xisuma, provided Mumbo hadn't already. I asked him and he said he hadn't talked to Xisuma yet.

I texted the admin and got him in a group call with me and Mumbo.

"What's this about?" Xisuma asked once we were all in.

"Hey, X," I greeted. "Earlier, I noticed something on YouTube when I was done editing my video," I began.

"Yeah," Xisuma said, allowing me to continue.

I took a breath so I could just get it out. "Pewdiepie, DanTDM, PopularMMOS, and CaptainSparklez haven't been active on any social media since the First," I said.

He remained silent for a few moments as he thought about what I said. "And their posting schedule was normal before that?" he asked.

I nodded but then remembered he couldn't see my face. "Yeah," I answered aloud.

"Hmm..." he said in thought. "Perhaps something came up and they were forced to not update social media," he suggested.

"All at the same time?" Mumbo spoke up. "That's too weird to be a coincidence."

"Yeah," I said in support of Mumbo's statement.

Xisuma remained quiet for a bit and then let out a quiet drawn-out sigh. "We probably should wait before taking any action. We don't want to intrude on their privacy," he said, his voice calm and quiet.

"Yeah," I said at the same time that Mumbo said, "Agreed."

"I said to the other hermits not to say anything to their fans. We shouldn't worry them until there is reason to worry," I told Xisuma.

"Good." He cracked a smirk that neither of us could see. "You know, this is the most serious I've ever seen you, Grian," he commented.

I couldn't help but chuckle. "Well, four fellow YouTubers aren't talking anywhere so of course I'd be concerned," I said, my amused tone calming a bit as I mentioned the current problem.

"I'd be concerned if you weren't concerned," he said with a small chuckle.

I echoed him in a chuckle and leaned back in my chair.

"Thanks for letting me know, Grian," Xisuma said.

"No problem, Xisuma," I responded with a faint smile on my face.

"Good luck in any of your searches," Mumbo said.

"You too," Xisuma responded.

"Bye," I replied.

We ended the call and I was left alone, wondering what I should do next. I resorted to watching their latest videos that had been uploaded on April the first. (Okay sorry for ruining the mood but I searched up if there was a PopularMMOS video on April 1st and it was something that I did not bother to watch to find out if it was a prank or not lol)

~POV CHANGE~

I let out a sigh as I leaned back in my chair. I had finally finished recording a video with George, Sapnap, and BadBoyHalo and we had just left the call. We had recorded another manhunt video and it had taken a lot longer than any of us had expected.

I brushed my dirty blonde bangs out of my eyes and glanced at the time. It was already 2 am. I let out another sigh. George hadn't been able to sleep so we ended up recording when it was 3 am for him and 10 pm for me. Now, it was 7 am for him and the recording we made was probably the craziest one we'd ever recorded because of how sleepy we were.

I let out another sigh and stood up from my computer desk. I headed over to the window and looked outside, my eyelids drooping with exhaustion.

I let out a yawn and for some reason felt less tired. I shrugged it off and returned to my computer, resorting to watching YouTube videos until I could sleep.

I began to browse through YouTube in search of something for zero-sleep Dream to watch. I found myself chuckling at the correlation between dreams and sleep. Before I could throw myself into a mental tangent on how I should be able to get more sleep because I called myself Dream, a video caught my eye. It was one of CaptainSparklez's latest videos. But I had already watched it. Why was it in my recommended list rather than his most recent upload? Upon clicking on his channel, I discovered that he hadn't posted anything since April first. Why would posting on the first of April but not afterward be an April Fool's Day prank? My tired brain was wired and running through a million theories an hour. So, I looked deeper.

Upon sheer luck, I discovered the other three YouTubers that hadn't posted anything since the first. After a good half-hour or so of searching, I made a conclusion. I opened up Discord and barely stopped myself from spamming George.

"what?!"

"I found somthin out you ned to call wih me"

"goodness Dream, you need to sleep"

"i can't sleep right now!"

"why not?"

"bcuz of the thing i found out!"

"ughh fine Dream"

I grinned slightly as the Discord ringtone rang through my headphones. I clicked accept and immediately yelled George's name.

"AH!! Dream!! Don't yell that loud!" George said, definitely having been surprised by me.

"Georggeee I found something weird out," I said, leaning in toward my computer.

"What is it?"

"Did you realize that Pewdiepie, DanTDM, PopularMMOS, AND CaptainSparklez haven't posted anything since the first?" I said, my eyes scanning over the YouTube page I had open.

"No," George responded. "I'm sure there's a perfectly good reason behind them not posting," he reasoned.

"George, I searched it up. None of them have posted anything on social media since then either. Do you think something happened to them?" I said, my tired brain making me paranoid.

There was an audible sigh from the other end of the call. "Dream, I think you're getting worked up about nothing. Anyway, there's nothing we can do," George said.

I sighed too. "Finnee... I'll let it drop for now but if they don't post anything within the next few days, I'm bringing this up again," I said in defeat.

"Now, go sleep Dream," George said, sounding a bit satisfied.

"But I don wanna," I replied, crossing my arms and sounding a bit like a whiny man-child.

"Dreeeam... Go to sleep," George said, amusement in his voice.

I let out an exasperated sigh of defeat as I realized how exhausted I was. "Finneee," I said again, drawing the word out as much as I could.

George let out a small chuckle. "Sweet dreams, Dream," he joked.

I let out a small laugh. "Good night slash morning, George," I responded.

He chuckled again and we ended the call. I pushed myself back in my chair, pulling off my headphones, and let out a yawn. I was tired. I glanced at the time. It was already 3 am. Well, there goes the sleeping schedule I never really had, I joked before turning off my computer.

I stood and decided to just sleep in my current clothes, a pale green hoodie, and pale gray ripped jeans. (cuz i can imagine him in that for some reason lol)

I made sure my phone was on the charger and got in bed. Sleep took me quickly. However, my mind was not exactly free from the topic of the four possibly missing YouTubers.
