Lunch is awkward to say the least. Blair and Kane are sitting diagonal from me. Both are in between Vincent and Maximus. Gianni is sitting on the other side of Maximus. All five are talking quietly amongst themselves. I'm sitting here, not talking at all. I'm eating my salad while listening to those five talk about nonsense shit. Lucian is still glaring at Kane while shoving food in his mouth. Dad, Galileo, Valentino, Matteo, Renzo, Nikolai, and Julian are talking about their plans on invading that crazy ninja lady's hideout. Leonardo and Alonzo are talking about chicks and hacking.

Are they like programmed for this shit?

No a wolf dog names Hercules.

"Can I have a puppy?" I suddenly ask.

What the fuck am I doing?

What the heck did I just ask? Why did I just ask about a puppy when I was just thinking about a wolf dog? What is wrong with my brain today?

Everyone's silent chatter abruptly halts and everyone is staring at me. Now all the attention is on me which I never wanted to begin with. Lucian is doing small chuckles and his icy glare as melted from his face. Alonzo , Vincent, Leonardo and Maximus are staring at me like I'm an alien. Gianni, Julian, and Nikolai are staring at me with soft expressions. Renzo has a bright smile on his face. Matteo has a small smile on playing on his cold exterior. Valentino is staring at me like I've gone mad. Dad has his mouth wide open, looking like I have ten heads on my small shoulders while blowing out fire like a dragon.

Did I say something wrong?

Is something on my face?

"Wait? What?" Matteo asks.

"Did she ask for a dog?" Nikolai says with a smile.

"Yes? You know for company, protection, companionship?" I question back with my brow raised.

"That's what you have your brothers for." Dad states.

"Sure if you want each one drowned in the pool by nightfall. Yea." I comment back.

My comment has all my brothers riled up. Each one complaining or stating how I'm wrong. How they aren't that bad. Their complaints and my look has dad and Galileo in an uproar of laughter.

What is so funny? I am speaking the truth; I will end up drowning my brothers by night fall.

"At a time like this?" Julian asks.

"Well, yeah I guess? I answer his own question with a damn questionable question.

"We will see." Dad finally says.

"Is dad really thinking about getting her a puppy?!" Vincent screeches.

"What breed are you wanting?" Kane asks out of no where.

"Have you researched the best breeds?" Gianni asks.

"If not we can research for you." Leonardo comments.

"Actually, I have. A wolf hybrid." I state.

"A what!?" Matteo screams.

"She said a wolf." Lucian says with a chuckle.

"I thought she would go for an ankle biter!" Leonardo grumbles.

"Like a pomsky?" Gianni asks.

"No. A wolf hybrid. Or wolf. Either or. They'd make a great watch dog and companion ." I state with a matter of fact tone.

"She's just like Kia." Galileo says with a soft smile.

"I will think about it Princess." Dad says with a chuckle.

"We all know dad's thinking." Maximus grumbles out.

"It's always a yes for her." Gianni laughs out.

"I do not!" Dad counters.

"Does too! You used princess which means she'll get her dog." Alonzo states the obvious.

"Just give it a day. There's going to be two four legged evil creatures in this house." Julian's chuckles out.

Everyone in the room starts to laugh. I guess that's one way to get the uncomfortable tension in the room to disperse.

"There's a wolf hybrid rescue in town." Galileo randomly says.

My brothers erupt into groans.

"Seriously! Uncle you had to mention that to her." Matteo complains.

"Now she's going to want to go see them!" Gianni grumbles.

"Can we though?!" I ask with a hesitant smile.

"Fine." Dad reluctantly agrees to my request.

Not even thirty minutes later everyone is done eating. So, we're all getting into the several cars, since everyone is going. The rescue is actually really close. Exactly three miles from our home. We pull up in the rescue's driveway and all us get out and surround the entranceway. No one has made a move to open the door.

"Alright princess. Let's go look and see what one you want to rescue." Dad suddenly says.

I nod my head and smile. Lucian grabs my hand and we walk into the building side by side.

"Welcome to our rescue center. How can we help you... Well can I help this big group?" The lady behind the counter greets us.

"My sister....." Lucian starts to say.

"Can I see your wolf hybrids?" I ask.

"Of course sweetheart. I'll take you to the area where we have them and let you guys walk around and look. If there's a particular one you want to see just let me know." The lady says.

We follow behind her as she hits her badge on the scanner to the right of her desk. As soon as the door opens, you are now outside in a forest like setting.

How cute.

What part wolf and they have them in a forest like setting. Come on now.

I mentally roll my eyes at myself.

"We have twenty of them in here. All are friendly however, some will be wary and on guard." The lady says.

The lady vanishes back into the building through the door we came out of. We all start to walk around the small pathway in this forest setting. I can hear little paws hitting the leaves on the ground. Soon after several of them are out in plain sight sniffing the air.

They're curious as to the new scent.

We all stand there and wait for them to come closer. I crouch down so I do look like a predator. Soon after I crouch down, more of them come walking towards me.

"Great. Now she has the whole pack coming to her." Vincent grumbles.

"We'll leave this place with twenty of them." Leonardo mumbles.

We each play and get comfortable with each of them. However, they all might be cute and sweet. And scary! They aren't want I am looking for. My heart isn't telling him this is the one I want to rescue. This is the one I want to bring home. After playing with them for hours, we all head back inside. We walk up to the lady so she knows we're back and I give her a small smile.

"Did you find one? Or a few?" She asks.

"No ma'am. Thank you for showing up them though." I say with a sadden tone.

As we make it to the door, we all stop in our tracks.

"Wait! I might have just the one." The lady calls out.

We all turn to her with confusion in our eyes. How, if we seen them all does she have the perfect one for us? Or me? She must have read the confusion because she continues her explanation.

"Hades and Persephone had a litter of seven pups eight weeks ago. Hades and Hera also had a litter of six pups surprisingly eight weeks ago. I can take you to their closed in area and let you all meet all sixteen of them." She says.

"Please!" I squeal.

We follow her to the door on the left and we walk out into another enclosed forest setting. As soon as we walk through the doors, we hear three ferocious growls. This would send anyone running the opposite direction but, here I am walking down the pathway towards the growling. Most people would have already freaked out; my family is right behind me.

Not even flinching.

We follow the growls which led us to being several feet in front of three beautiful hybrids. One is all black with dark eyes. Almost the shade of a moonless night sky. He stands a good three and half feet off the ground. To his right is a beautiful Snow White girl with gorgeous chartreuse green eyes. She's small in height standing by the male; she's a good six inches shorter. To the male's left is a mysterious dark grey female with cyan blue eyes. She's shorter then the other two. She stands about two and half feet on all four legs. If I have to guess the male is obviously Hades. The female to his right has to be Persephone and the female to the left would be Hera. Their muzzle is showing their teeth when they growl. Their hackles are raised while their ears lay flat.

Again most people would run for their lives yet, here I am in front while my family stands behind me. Instead of walking further to them; I plop my rear in the dirt and sit. If they see me as no threat then their intensive behavior should diminish completely.

Or I hope.

They still are growling but their hackles have lowered and their muzzles aren't showing as many teeth. I hear a small yapping noise in the distance behind the three adults in front of me. When noise gets closers I can see five pups on the right side and six on the left.

Where's the six and seventh pups at?

Before I could possess why Gianni has no brain. I am hit from the right side of my body. I land on my side with a thud and instead of being attacked by a malicious beast. I am getting attacked on the face by a wet tongue. All my family can hear is my laughter filling the air over the dying down growls in the background.

"That's Apollo. He usually acts just like his twin and his parents. He normally doesn't come up to strangers." A voice calls out behind everyone.

Once the furry boy gets off of me; I can fully inspect what has tackled me to the ground. Standing in front of me is a beautiful white and midnight black pup with one chartreuse right eye and a dark as night black eye left. His left ear is white while his right ear is black. Right behind him is what I am assuming to be his twin. It does exactly what the brother has done moments ago. Instead of running me into the ground it bounces up from the path and licks my nose. It's tongue causes me to giggle once again. It looks exactly Apollo except it's eye colors are switched and so is the ears. It has a dark left eye and a chartreuse left eye. A black left ear and a white right ear.

"Artemis. She must see her twin is fine with you. So, she's came to inspect. She's exactly like her twin with personality. Which is incredible that they came to you to begin with." The voice says.

Finally I'm back on my own two feet and see the lady from the front desk is speaking behind Galileo. The growls have completely died down. There wasn't any in the air. All you can hear is the yapping of more pups. The three adults slowly start to make their way towards us.

"The one in the middle up front is Hades. The beautiful one to his right is Persephone. The gorgeous girl to his left is Hera." She states.

All three have now made it in front of me. I could easily stick my hand out and pet their fur. However, I choice to let them make the next move. Hades circles around me and the pups, sniffing. Persephone licks my hand. Her actions causes me to smile. Hera picks my hip with her snout while wagging her tail. Hades sees I'm no threat and walks off towards my brothers with the other two following in his footsteps.

"What are you wanting one for it I may ask. Companionship, protection, to just have, the list can go on and on." She suddenly ask.

"Protection, guarding, company, a pet?" I answer with a questionable voice.

I watch as Hades walks up to Renzo and sits by his feet. Nudging his head on his hand.

This causes Renzo to break into a smile.

"We'll, aren't you a handsome fellow." Renzo says.

This causes Hades to yap in excitement. Like he's agreeing with Renzo.

Ohhh! He just found his new owner.

I watch as Persephone walks up to Valley and licks his hand. His tall stature is now crouched in front of her. She flops and rolls on her back; Valley starts to pet her belly.

She's found a new owner as well.

"I can give you a little insight on the rest of them if you would like."

"Yes please and thank you ma'am." I kindly tell the lady who's name I've never learned.

I watch as Hera walks up to Matteo which causes Matteo to become wary again. She smells his boot then his pants leg. She sits right at his side waiting for him to do something.

Anything.

Matteo slowly but surely pets her fur which causes her to lean into his leg.

Just think, the one scared of dogs has picked him out of everyone.

Sucks for Matty boy she's picked her owner out.

"The rest of Persephone's litter is Poseidon; he's very protective and like to rough house. He's the all black pup with Chartreuse eyes. Next is Ares, who is the shy one. He's the white pup with dark eyes. Aphrodite is the soft grey pup with her mothers eyes. She's a sweetheart. Loves to play tug a war and cuddles is her main pick. Eros, he's a spitting image of his father. Fur, eyes, and personality. Gaia, she looks like her father but has her mother's eyes. She's a little fireball." She states as pointing out each pup.

"Hera's litter of pups are the following: Hercules, he looks exactly like his mom but with two different eyes. He's the roughest of the group. Oceanus, he is exactly like his father except his fur is slightly lighter. He has his mom's eyes and his dad's personality. Phoebe, she's the lightest grey one. She has the cyan blue eyes and is quiet shy. Hecate, she's her father's twin yet again. Fur and eye color but she is one of the sweetest of the bunch. Dionysus, he's the darker grey one with stunning dark blue eyes. He is the fighter in the group. He loves to wrestle and get on his siblings nerves. Atlas, he's a soft white grey ish color with light blue eyes. He's more laid back then anything." She again points out each pup as she describes them all.

Hera hasn't left Matty's side. Valley still has Persephone and Renzo still has Hades. I still have Apollo and Artemis by my side. We all watch as each pup goes to one of my brothers. Poseidon walks up to Lucian.

Of course he would.

Ares walks up to Vincent and licks his hand. Aphrodite runs into Leonardo and knocks him over. Eros walks up to Julian and nips his fingers which causes Julian to stare at the pup in shock.

Ha! Julian has met his match.

Finally!

Gaia slowly walks to Nikolai and lays at his feet. She starts to tug on his boot laces.

Hercules trots over to Alonzo and bites his pants leg. It causes Alonzo to laugh and shake his leg like a dog.

Looks like his hands will be full.

Oceanus walks over to Maximus and yaps Maximus's ears off.

Maximus will go insane over the pup that's more vocal then he is.

Phoebe stands at Gianni's side and looks up at him. He looks down at her and smiles.

Hecate walks up to dad and licks his hand.

Holy shit! A pup has picked dad?!

Atlas comes and lays beside Apollo and Artemis. While Dionysus walks over to Valley and tugs on his bootstrap.

"We'll it looks to be settled. They'll take the whole group." Uncle Galileo says with a chuckle.

"Wait! What?!" Matteo whisper yells.

Of course he would be the one to protest.

"We'll, have you decided which of the sixteen you honestly want?" Alex asks.

"Apollo and Artemis.... Atlas."

"Hera."

"Hades."

"Persephone and Dionysus."

"Phoebe."

"Oceanus."

"Gaia!"

"Eros!"

"Ares!"

"No! Aphrodite!!"

"Hell no! Hercules!"

"Poseidon!"

"Hecate!"

We all start naming dogs all at once.

"You were saying?" Luke chuckles out.

"We'll take all of them." Dad finally agrees.

"Are you sure? That's a lot of mouths to feed. To walk, to interact with. A lot of vet trips and money." The lady comments.

Clearly she doesn't know who my family is.

"We are positive ma'am. How much for the whole family. We can't just take one from its pack. Plus, they have chosen their humans as it seems." Renzo asks.

"Total cost would be 77960000.00 ITL. That's the cost of the adoption, the fees, etcetera." She says.

"Check, card, or cash?" Dad asks the lady.

"We take all payments." She answers.

Renzo pulls out his shine silver card and hands it to the lady.

"Here's my card. We'll take the whole family." He tells her.

The lady leaves with his card and comes back a while later with sixteen harnesses and leashes for our group. Renzo fills out the paperwork which is sixteen different ones. Once he has puts the pen down; we all walk out the door with our animals.

Thank goodness we brought all our SUV's.

Right, or this would have been an interesting ride back home.

Gemma:

We have Hades, Apollo, Artemis, Atlas, Hecate, and Poseidon in the vehicle with us. In other words the pups are in the vehicles with their owners. Some of us have five pups some of us have six. A few of the cars has only three or four. We are the lucky ones with six with us. Renzo's tires hit the asphalt and he drives slower to the house.

Oh my god! He's totally babying the pups.

I mean have you seen the wolf hybrid that chose him as his human?

The three minute drive turned into a fifteen minute drive home. If that doesn't give you an understanding of how slow he was driving to get back home. Then, I don't know what will.

Once we pull up into our driveway, Ren pulls into the big circle and parks. Dad walks out of the SUV with Hecate walking beside him. He's on the phone with someone, it has to be an employee because he's giving orders it seems like.

"Make sure each of the houses are set up for sixteen wolf hybrids. Three adults and thirteen eight week old pups." Dad orders.

The person must have said something because dad starts to laugh.

"Yes, a pup picked me out. Yes, Valentino ended up with two. Of course my princess left with three pups. It's Gemma we're talking about here. She's an animal lovers."

"Okay, we're getting the pups situated now. We have to head back out and get them some things anyways. Make sure you have this backyard set up as well." Dad says.

We all wait for dad to get off the phone so he can tell us what the hell he is up too.

"Alright, let's get these guys inside and use to the house. I have someone coming over to do the backyard for us. While they're fixing the backyard; we'll go get our little ones some things they'll need. Considering we don't have any animal shit in this house to begin with." Dad states.

We walk the little babies into the house. Everyone takes off in different directions. More specifically, we walk to where we are known to be at. I'm taking Apollo, Artemis, and Atlas to everyone's bedrooms, the main library, the kitchen, the backyard by the pond, and my canopy swing in the tree. After we have walked them everywhere, dad has us let them sniff each one of our guards and everyone else at the house. So, they'll know each of our scents. If an unknown scent hits their noses; they'll know it's an intruder. We pet each of the pups and we all walk out the door. We have to take several cars again because there's so many of us; plus we're buying for sixteen four legged beauties.

A whole pack of dogs.

I'm riding with Valley and Lucian. Well, it was just Valley and I in his big lifted truck because we are the ones with more than one animal. However, Lucian didn't want to ride with anyone else. So, he's our tag along and I wouldn't have it any other way. Valley follows behind dad and Ren while everyone else has to file behind us. Hopefully the store will have everything we need for our babies. Dad turns right onto Via delle Muratella and we're on it for a little while. As soon as he turns right onto Via Germiniano Montanari; I knew where we are heading.

Acraplanet!

We pull into the parking lot and once every car is in park, we all hop out the cars. Each of us get our own carts. Dad didn't give us a spending limit just said get what we think our babies would need. I walk carefully down the aisles inspecting each product I grab. I look at the ingredients and what each food item contains. I want to make sure my pups grow into healthy wolves. I pick up three bags of 12kg of N&D Pumpkin Medium Maxi Agnello Mirtillo puppy food.

Awe Maxi has his own dog food named after him.

Shut it ma'am!

I grab three small Cuccia Igloo Tipi's and three of the larger ones. I grab three small beds, and several toys. I round the corner to find treats. I grab what I can fit into my now cramped cart. My guard takes my full cart and returns with an empty one. I grab a few different leashes and harnesses. I pick up a few other smaller things in the groups of three. Lastly, I have their name tags made with my information on it. Once I meet back up with my family; I spot at least thirty carts up front full of animal things.

Holy shit!

This is going to cost a fortune!

It takes them awhile to ring up all our things. The grand total is 4,304,566.00!
