Chapter 25: Going to The Temple

Ty's P.O.V
"Do you really think it's still there?" Quentin asks. I cross my arms.

"It's a giant temple that Notch gave us a place to stay in the OverWorld. I don't think it can walk off." I said.

"It is kind of cramped here. But where is it? How far?" Asada asks.

"We need to go into the Nether. Cilen Village is the closest to our private portal. There will just be a short walk to another portal that leads just outside of the temple." Seto said.

"The Nether? Never been there before." Mitch said.

"Us either. I think the Guardians, Farla, and Kyra have only been there out of all of us." Ian said. The Nether isn't too bad. It's hot and dangerous. But an easy and short trip.

"Take anything you need. We haven't been in there for centuries. So things might be lurking in there. Also the Nether isn't the kindest of places." Jason said.

"Can't we skip going to the Nether?" Ashley asks. I shake my head.

"If you enjoy walking too much. It's easier to go by portal." I said. We all stay silent for a minute. "Besides, as much as this place is useful. It too out in the open."

"Good point." Jerome said. They all leave to get supplies. Sky is sitting at the table. I look at him.

"This is a good thing for you too." I said. Sky looks at me.

"Yeah. The temple could bring back some memories." Seto said. The path through the Nether will be tricky.

"Guys, is the path still there?" I ask

"Not the normal one remember. We got two flyers. You, and Farla sometimes,, flew through some, and I had to do some stuff as well. With the extra people, it will be tricky going through the Nether undetected." Seto said.

"We'll think of something once we get to it. You remember where our portal is?" Jason asks.

"We got four portals here." Seto said. Oh right we do. "The closest one is in the abandoned mineshaft. The mineshaft path in the Nether is a long bridge. It might be broken though."

"Lets use that one. The other portals are too far away." Jason said. Asada comes in.

"We're ready. Come outside." She said. We all go outside.

"So which way we going?" Ellie asks.

"East. Into a abandoned mineshaft." Seto said

"So underground?" Kris asks.

"Yes, can you handle that?" I asks.

"Of course." She said.

Ashley's P.O.V
*Few hours Later*
I hold the legends book close to me as we walk through a confusing cave system. We got pretty deep underground. We are following torches. We are all quiet, I never wanted to see the Nether. But I guess I got no choice now. Mitch and I are in the back of the group with Jason behind me. Seto and Ty are leading, I hope they know where they are going.

"Are we there yet?" Ian asks. We have been walking for a while. We all stop.

"The mineshaft is around here somewhere." Seto said. Jason walks pass me and to Ty and Seto.

"Let's take a break." Kyra said. I sit down on the ground and against the wall. I look over at Seto, Ty, and Jason as they figure out where we are. Kris sits down next to me.

"It would be funny if they misplaced their temple." Kris said. That would be.

"Yeah. But going through the Nether." I said.

"It is the quickest way of travel to one place to another. Through portals. No wonder going to the Nether is so hard. Don't want people finding the Four Guardian's temple." Kris said. Nope. Probably their place away from the public's eye. A place to be alone. Sounds comfy to me.

"Found it." Jason said. We all get up and follow them through a mineshaft. Spiderwebs everywhere and a broken railway system along the ground. Wonder where all the miners went? And why it's abandoned. Seto flicks a lever and a stone wall disappears revealing a big room with walls made of bedrock. No one is getting in, that's for sure. We walk in and the door closes. A empty portal frame stands in the middle of the room.

"We need to light it." Ellie said.

"Ty. Go ahead." Jason said. I look around. You can't even tell where the door was at first.

"Once we go into, don't leave the area of the portal till everyone is through. Got it?" Seto asks. We all nod.

Jason's P.O.V
"Everyone through?" Farla asks.

"I think so." I said. I take a few steps out, I see the bridge off in the distance. No ghasts or blazes to be seen. Good. It will make it easier. "The tunnel is still up. Then the bridge will lead right to where the temple portal is."

"A bridge? Over the giant lava ocean where falling in means death?" Kris asks. Yes. Exactly that.

"Just don't fall in." Ty said.

"Easier said then done." Kris said.

"Come on. We got to move fast and don't hit the pigman or look at the endermen." Seto said.

"There's endermen here?" Asada asks.

"Yes. There are." Ty said. We all go into the tunnel. This brings back a lot of bad memories I want to forget. Sky looks at me for a second.

"Any more memories coming back?" I ask him.

"Um..yeah. More of visions of the past I guess." He said. I'm happy he is getting his memory back, we really need him to have them.

"Can you be exact?" I ask. Sky looks ahead. We are at the back of the group, Seto and Ty at the front.

"I saw us four going through that same exact portal. But the place looked different then this. There was no tunnel. Just a bridge." He said.

"We had to build a new bridge and make a tunnel to conceal the portal better from outsiders. Notch is all about security. He couldn't come down here, so he asked us to make sure our temple would never be found." I said. I put my hands in my coat pockets.

"What are the chances no one did find the temple?" He asks.

"Going through portals is faster then walking to it in the OverWorld. We have a big portal room, each goes to different places. It's sometimes hard to know which one is which." I said.

"Tried putting up a sign?" He asks. I smile a little.

"That would take the fun out of it whenever we get into the wrong portal, it's funny after a while." I said. We walk out of the tunnel. I look ahead seeing the bridge. It's a little broken but still usable.

"Are you sure that bridge is actually safe?" Ian asks. They stop. Sky and I walk pass them and stop next to Seto and Ty.

"It's fine, I think." I said.

"I think?" Ellie asks.

"I don't know if you noticed guys. We're in the Nether, where there are ghasts around every corner. And blazes and endermen." Asada said. Oh we are well aware of that.

"Blazes only hang out near the Nether fortress, which is far away. Ghasts, you can hear when they attack. And Ty can easily take care of the endermen." I said.

"Fine. Let's go." They said.

Sky's P.O.V
I see a nether portal ahead. Must be the portal to the temple. I look at Farla. She is walking next to me. She's been sort of quiet.

"So this temple, how long did we use it?" I ask. Farla looks at me.

"Forever. We all used it since we were little. I'm pretty sure most of the stuff that we had there is still there. I haven't seen it in centuries. If any of us wasn't in the Aether, we were at the temple. Especially Ty and Jason. I think Ty liked the flying space he has there and Jason for the portals, exploring is sort of his thing." Farla said. I look at Jason and Ty. Well I can't wait to see it.

"The legend said that I was-"

"Your not a monster Ad-Sky. Sorry that's gonna take some getting use to."
She said. I smile a little. I grown use to be calling Sky, but the others sometimes call me Adam. "Your great Sky. You don't use your brine powers very much. You mostly rely on your fighting skills. Which are amazing."

"Really?" I ask.

"Yeah. You gave the warriors up in the Aether a real run for their money." Farla said. I put my hands in my coat pockets. "Is there something else?"

"Notch wouldn't tell me. But I'm just gonna say it. It's okay if you won't saying anything. I'm still trying to figure out who he is to me. You heard of the King of the Nether?" I asks. Farla suddenly stops. I stop too. I look at her. She looks away from me.

"I'm not suppose to talk about this Sky. No one is, especially to you." She said. I suspected much. But why especially to me?
