'Veer' Bani woke up from the nightmare she was seeing she was sweating and panting for air. She looked in her surroundings and assumed that she was having a nightmare. She then saw where she was 'Yeh main kaha hu? Main pehle bhi yaha aa chuki hu jab us din us truck mein blast hua tha. And Veer, Veer kaha hai? I hope vo thik ho.'

She looked for her phone 'mera phone kaha hai?' She found her phone and dialled Veer's number. After a few rings Veer picked up the call, Bani in a hassle spoke 'Veer tum kaha ho? Tum thik ho?'

Veer spoke 'tumse matlab? Jiyu ya maru tumse matlab?'

Bani had tears in her eyes but she controlled 'Please Veer tum thik ho na? I promise main tumhe kabhi dobara tang nahi karungi bas itna batado'

Veer spoke in the same attitude 'Ha thik hu' and he hung up the phone.

Bani cried and she was hurt seeing that hatred. She threw the phone on the floor and screamed 'aaahhh.

Jai I hate you. Aaj tumhari vajah se Veer mujhse itni nafrat karta hai. Main tumhe chodungi nahi jan se mar dungi.' she in her anger threw all the vases, and broke the mirror.

Suddenly she got glimpses of Shukla back stabbing Veer.

She struggled to get up; she composed herself and ran towards him 'Veer' she mumbled.

Veer spoke 'uff tum jab Veer bolti ho na kasam se jaan le leti ho.'

Bani got in her senses and spoke rudely 'tum yaha kya kar rahe ho?' Veer replied wiping her tears 'natak karne se pehle ansoo toh ponch lo Sweetheart taki real lage tumhara gussa.'

Bani spoke stealing eyes 'Veer mujhe nahi pata tum kya keh rahe ho. Tum yaha kya kar rahe ho?'

Veer spoke 'yeh karne aya hu' and he hugged her. Bani was shocked by that sudden arrest of hers in his arms.

She tried to get free 'Veer chodo mujhe please.' But all in vain Veer's hold got more tight on her.

After a few seconds Bani was tired and she broke in his arms, she cried badly in his arms.

Veer in turn just tightened his hold, he knew she was tired, exhausted and moreover betrayed by the one she thought she loved.

Finally Bani spoke 'I am sorry Veer. tum sahi the vo Jai thik nahi hai, usne mujhe dhoka dia Veer. usne mujhe dhoka dia. I am sorry Veer.'

Veer just caressed her hair, a tear skipped his eyes. He can't see her sweetheart like this, crying, weak, helpless, so vulnerable.

After a few seconds Bani stopped crying and broke the hug 'tumne bataya nahi tum yaha kaise aye? Or yeh jagah kya hai?'

Bani felt really bad she really wanted to apologize. She went to Veer, Veer was about to come to his normal self but sense Bani coming to her he again made a sad face.

Bani spoke ' Veer suno' Veer didn't turn. Bani held his shoulder and made him face her.

She took a deep breath and hesitantly held his hands 'Veer main nahi janti ki main tumse kaise sorry bolu and kis kis chiz ke liye bolu. I have always and always hurt you deeply, I know this word sorry can't mend everything but please mujhe maaf kardo. Tumhe use janam mein marne ke liye, is janam mein tumse beinteha nafrat karne ke liye. I am sorry Veer' she had tears by the end she was finished apologizing.

Seeing her cry Veer too had tears. He wiped her tears 'biwi tum roti hui bilkul bhi achi nahi lagti. Or agar tum aisi hi roti rahi toh I will kiss you' he joked.

Bani was still crying; she was so ashamed of her that she just couldn't forgive herself.

Veer spoke 'Bani main mazak kar raha tha. Please mat royo'

Bani spoke sobbing 'nahi Veer mujhe ghin aa rahi hai khud se ki itni galat choice thi meri life mein. Mera bas chale toh main khud ko hi mar du, mujhe itna gussa aa raha hai is waqt khud par'

Veer shouted 'Bani. Don't you dare say that again. Never ever'

Bani didn't replied to what he said rather asked 'Veer please mujhe thodi der shanti chahiye, main chupna chahti hu'

Veer spoke 'hum already yaha chupe hai Bani'

Bani spoke 'Can I hide in your arms? '

Veer was shocked, without saying anything he opened his arms wide. Bani without saying anything hid her face in his chest, she kept her head on his heart area and got lost in the rhythm of his heartbeats.

After a few seconds Veer found her breathing even, he looked down only to find Bani standing there with closed eyes not saying anything. She had a relief on her face.

Veer hugged her even more tightly, he always wanted the reason she smiled. He was happy seeing her comfortable in his arms.

Bani's POV:

After getting the biggest shock of her life and getting the best concern she was feeling exhausted she wanted to feel wanted to be owned. From her birth she was tired of the taunts her chachi gave, then this Jai. Although she had her Chacha/papa and Meera di but she wanted to be at a place she can call her home. She knows that she doesn't love Veer the way he does but there are no two ways that she really liked this person's concern and protective nature but always ignored it because she thought he was bad.

Now that she knows who he is and she can trust him she wanted to finally just hide, because she knew he would not let her lose in the darkness of their enemies and the hatred they have been spreading.

So, she asked him to hug her. The time Veer hugged her BAni lost her control over the storm that was going in her mind. For the very first time she felt his touch so comforting. She heard his heartbeat, his heart was beating in symmetry which automatically took her tears away and sent waves of relief on her face.

She felt his hold getting tight which made her snuggle more in his arms, she was feeling at home. She finally found a place to live, to belong which brought a smile on her lips.

Veer saw the smile on her face and asked 'kya hua Sweetheart? Abhi toh ro rahi thi ab smiling.'

Bani spoke not breaking the hug 'rehne ke liye ghar mil gaya Veer or yeh feeling bohot achi hai tabhi I am smiling'

Veer asked, confused breaking the hug 'ghar matlab? Tumhe koi or pasand aa gaya kya? Yar gharvali yeh baat toh mujhe sach mein hurt kar degi.'

And he was about to move backwards when she stopped him and spoke 'you know I don't love you the way you do..' hearing this much only Veer's face fell and Bani noticed that. She somewhere purposely paused at that point to see his reaction. She cupped his face in her hands and continued 'look at me Veer.' Veer forcefully looked at her 'I don't love you the way you do Veer but iska matlab yeh nahi hai that main koi or dhund liya ya I hate you. Aaj tumhari bahon mein mujhe actually ghar mil gaya jaha main lifetime reh saku. You know Veer main adopted hu so bachpan se hi mujhe kisi na kisi bat pe feel karvaya gaya hai aisa lekin tum ho jisne mujhpe kabhi anch nahi ane di you always protected me like a shield, without expecting anything you just cared for me loved me. I always wanted to be loved, to be wanted. Koi toh ho jo duniya se mere liye lad jaye and tum ho vaise. Satyug mein main galat thi jo tumhe mar dia par is janam mein agar kisi ne mere Pati Dev pe buri nazar bhi dali toh tumhari yeh junglee bili use noch dalegi. Noone means no one has the right to Harm you Pati Dev and with that she placed a very soft kiss on his forehead 'yeh is rishte ki nayi shuruwat ke liye.'

Bani was happy seeing a happy Veer she spoke possessively 'I know. Main kisi or ko rehne bhi nahi dungi yaha.' They both were content being in eachothers arms.
