Balwant sat on the sofa being exasperated... He has been hearing this "do min" from the last 45 mins... He was going to go upstairs when he saw his beautiful wife coming downstairs..

BS: Finally tum aayi... Maine socha ki aj ka plan cancel karna parega... Waise, ek baat to hai, abhi bhi tumhe aise dekhkar ghayal ho jaata hun..

SS: Aap bhi na...hatiye *blush*...... Umr dekha hai apna?! Abhi bhi ye sab sujhta hai... Veer hota na to abhitak apke tang khichke apko pareshan kar deta...

BS: Thank god Tapish ne use aj jaldi office bula liya, warna subah subah mera dimaag khate baith jata...bachpan se to yahi uska sabse  pasandida kaam hai, mujhe pareshan karna...

SS: Ehhh...Veer ke khilaf kuch bhi nahi.... Aur ab apko late nahi ho raha? Chaliye....
Balwant sighed and followed his wife to the car... His wife is never going to hear anything against HER VEERU, it seems.. He sometimes prayed to God to send someone who can save him from this Mom-Son duo...😂

Their car stopped in front of the entrance of "The Tejvini Villa".. The name sounded weird but beautiful...
They came out of their car and was going to enter, when Balwant saw his old childhood friend Tej coming out with his wife Jahnvi to welcome them...

Tej came and hugged his old friend Balwant, and the wives greeted each other... Tej and Jahnvi welcomed their guests and took them to the hall..
They all settled themselves on the sofa when Balwant spoke,
BS: Tujhe main kya batau Tej, kitna achha laga firse tum dono se milke.. Hum last mile the tum dono ki shaadi mein, tab se lekar ab tak, kitna kuch badal gaya....

T: Sahi kaha tune Balwant...dekhte dekhte 30 saal bit gaya, aur pata bhi nahi chala.. Thank god hum wo office party mein mile, warna ye mulaqat to hota hi nahi.... Aur bata, tera Beta kaisa hai?

SS: Achha hai Tej bhaisaab... Aj office mein meeting tha isliye jaldi chala gaya, nahi to main to usse bhi lana chahti thi... Waise, aapka ek beti hai haina?!

Jahnvi finally broke her silence...
J: Haa, humari eklauti beti... Aaiye na, chaliye, main aapko uski room dikhati hoon...

The two ladies went upstairs.. The moment Jahnvi opened the door of her daughter's room, Shailee stood there rooted...

The room looked no less than a paradise, but what surprised Shailee was the picture at the backdrop of the bed... Their daughter was The Bani Sharma, the girl she wished to get as her daughter-in-law after meeting her yesterday...
She was unconditionally happy, and decided to propose this idea in the hall...
Jahnvi and Shailee talked about their children while seeing Bani's room and then they went downstairs...

They were coming towards the hall when they heard Balwant saying,
B: Waise Tej, ek baat bata...tune iss villa ka naam Sharma Villa nahi rakhke aise ek anokha naam kyun rakha?!
Jahnvi smiled at the question and shook her head, as if remembering some good memory. Shailee looked at her, and understood the reason... Her choice is very unique, indeed...
The ladies came and sat on the sofa...
Tej smiled looking at Balwant and then at Jahnvi...

T: Wo kya haina, mera to yahi plan tha ki naam Sharma Villa rakhu, par fir humari ghar ki instructor ne bola,

"Ye kaisa naam hai, Sharma Villa... Arre Mumbai mein dhundne se aise 400 Sharma Villa yun mil jayega...Arre agli gali mein jo mithaiwala baithta hai na, uss ka naam bhi Guddu Sharma hai... Wo bhi rakhle apna ghar ka naam Sharma House.... Aur to aur, ye humari pehchan thori hai ki hum Sharma hai?! Humari pehchan humari kaam se banti hai, naam khoon khandan se nahi... Isse achha ye karte hai, kuch aisa naam rakhte hai jisse ye pata chale ki yaha rehta kaun kaun hai, aur usske saath ek achhi meaning bhi ho uss naam ka.."

Usne hi suggest kia ye naam, aur humne rakhliya...

BS: Par ye hai kaun?! Aur ye naam ka matlab?

T: Meri pagal beti, Bani... Tej, Jahnvi, aur Bani jor ke Tejvini... Aur Tejvini matlab Tejaswini which translates to Full of Strength and Energy...

Shailee smiled, she was right...
BS: Maanna parega, bohot unchi soch hai teri beti ki...

Tej and Jahnvi smiled...Their daughter always made them proud....
Shailee took the cue and told about her wish,
SS: Main ek baat soch rahi thi... Veer aur Bani, dono almost same age ki hai... Agar hum unki shaadi ke bare mein soche to; mera matlab ekbar dono families formally mil lete, baki shadi ki marzi unn dono ki...
Shailee was skeptical about other's reaction, but when she saw her husband smiling she sighed in relief.

Balwant was happy with Shailee's proposal. Truly speaking, he himself thought about it once. The moment he heard about Tej's daughter and her out-of-the-box ideas, he knew she is the only girl who can break his son's wrong belief and stubborn nature and make a place in his heart and life, she is the one who can bring the best out of his son.

Tej and Jahnvi didn't know what to do. The idea was really nice, but convincing Bani for this arranged meeting was no less than a Herculian task. Jahnvi finally decided what to do and told,
J: Haa idea achha hai... Aaplog ek date fix kar lijiye...
Tej understood and told,
T: Kal to chhutti hai.. Ek kaam karte hai, tum sab ko lekar kal hi humare ghar aajao. Kaam bhi ho jayega, aur kal ka din bhi eksath masti karke guzar lenge purane dino ki tarah..

BS: To fir yahi baat raha... Kal hum ajayenge time pe...
T: Arre main puchhna bhul gaya, Barun Bhaiya aur Bhabiji kaise hai??
BS: Haa dono achhe hai... Wo log humari Andheri wali apartment tha na, waha rehte hai abhi... Tapish ne to shaadi bhi karliya kuch mahino pehle...
T: Arre wah... Aur chhote, Pa
BS: Usska naam mat le Tej... Wo abhi humare sath nahi rehta... Wo aur uski biwi, dono ekjaise hai, selfish.. Dono ki aapas mein bani nahi, to dono chal diye ek dusre ko chhorkar..Bachho ke baare mein socha tak nahi... Uska chhota beta Pankaj tab sirf 1 saal ka tha aur Daksh 3.5 sal ka, jab ye sab hua... Arre main kya batau, unhone to ye bhi socha tha ki bachho ko adoption ke liye de denge, Chhi!!!.. Tabse wo dono bachhe humare saath hi rehte hai, main to kehta hoon ki humare 4 bete aur 1 beti hai... Ghinn aati hai mujhe usse apni bhai bulane mein, mere liye wo mar chuka hai...😑
T: Ohhh...sorry, wo mujhe pata nahi tha....
BS: Arre koi nahi...tu bata tera kya haal hai....

Like this, both the families spent their afternoon talking and gossiping with each other... The Singhania Couple left in the evening, promising to come tomorrow with their son and family...

"Mujhe pagal bolti hai, asal mein khud pagal hai... Sham se abhi tak 5 bar call kar chuki hai, aur har bar ek hi baat 'aj flat mein mat jana, sidha ghar aana'... Bani was thinking all this while parking the car in her "car-ka-ghar" as she calls it....

She entered the house and was going upstairs when she saw her father sitting in the study corner engrossed in some paperwork. She thought to disturb him first, meeting her mother can wait...
B: Hey daddddd...
She called and hugged him from the back....
T: Arreee, hiii... Tujhe main yaad hoon, maine socha tu bhul gayi hogi...
B: Haha, nice joke..*sarcasm*
T: I know... Aj itni jaldi kaise aa gayi??
B: Apki biwi ne bulayi hai, dhamki dekar.... Waise dad, ye humesha se itni strict hai kya?! Meri tarah cool hona chahiye...

Jahnvi heard her daughter's voice from the study corner, and went to check....
J: Wahh, tu aagayi...waise, ye Angrezo ki tarah dad dad kyu bulati hai tu??!
B: To kya bulau maate?? "pitashree"...
Tej and Bani laughed and hi-fied...

J: Achha bohot hua, chal ab...tujhse ek zaroori baat karni hai...
The seriousness in her mother's voice alerted Bani...she became quiet and hurriedly followed her mother to her room...
As soon as Jahnvi entered the room, Bani went and latched the door from inside, made her mother sit on the bed, and asked...

B: Kya hua hai maa?! Aap thik to hai??! Tabiyat kharab hai kya??.... Dad thik hai??... Maa, aap dono ke beech mein fir se kuch

Jahnvi cut her in the middle,
J: Nahi, kuch nahi hua, sab thik hai... Wo, kal tujhe larkewale dekhne aa rahe hai....

B: Haa, wo sab to thik hai...par... Waitttttt..... E-ek min.... Ky-k-ky- kya kaha aapne??.. larkewale, mujhe dekhne aa rahe hai..... Hahaahahaa.... Nice joke.... Hahahahahaa... Ye thi aapki zaroori baat, oh godd...hahahhaa.....*laughing hard*

J: *annoyed* main serious hoon Bani.... Kal sachme larkewale aa rahe hai tujhe dekhne... Tere papa ke bachpan ka dost aur uski family, unke bete ke liye tujhe dekhne aayenge kal....

B: Maa, you know I don't like the concept of arranged marriage, then why.... Aur, papa ke kitne bachpan ke dost hai?? Dost hai, dost rahe; papa ko samdhi kyun banana chahta hai?! Ajeeeb hai....

J: Chup kar..aisa nahi bolte... Arre ek bar mil to le, main kaunsa tujhe kal hi shaadi karne ko bol rahi hoon... Mil le, pasand na aaye to mana kar dena, ya fir aisa ho ki wo log hi tujhe dekhkar mana kar de...*laugh*

B: Impossible... Main kisiko pasand na aau, aisa ho hi nahi sakta *smirk*... hehe, jus kidding... Aur aapko kya lagta hai, main kisiko milungi aur 'Pehli nazar mein kaisa jadu kar diya' - aisa kuch ho jayega?

J:  Ho bhi to sakta hai....

B: Kuch bhiiii..... Maa, aapko to pata hai mujhse ye sab nahi hota... Ek kaam karte hai, main Mishti ko bula leti hoon, use sajakar baitha dungi neeche... Maza aayega...

J: Aisa kuch nahi karegi tu...aur, waise bhi, Mishti kal nahi aayegi, uski Test exam chal rahi hai...

B: *rolling eyes* ohkayyy... Fine...kuch badmashi nahi karungi...mil lungi unlogo se aur jo bhi mujhe dekhne aa raha hai usse...Happy?!

J: Very happy.. chal jaa, fresh ho jaa...main snacks lati hoon...
Jahnvi went from her room....

Bani went to the balcony, and sat on her favourite swing...
"Maa sahi keh rahi hai... Mujhe mil lena chahiye... Mujhe love marriage chahiye thi... Par, aur kitne din wait karungi, apne pyaar ko pane ke liye?! Aur agar wo insaan kabhi na mile to...nahi, main aise humesha ke liye maa aur dad ki upar bojh bankar nahi reh sakti... Mujhe ye shaadi karni hi paregi.... Mujhe maa ko azad karna parega...."
Bani kept thinking all this sitting there.

Shailee was cleaning her cupboard when Veer walked in their room...

V: Shalu darling, tumne mujhe bulaya??

SS: *fake anger* Veeeeer... Balwant nahi hai yaha....

V: Ohhh, Ballu nahi hai.. fir chhoro... *sad, because his plan failed*

SS: Ballu nahi, Veeru... Dad bol...

V: Not againnn Mom.. aapko pata hai ye main nahi man sakta... Khair chhoro, aap bolo Mom, mujhe bula rahe the?! Puchki ne kaha, aur main daurta hua aa gaya....

SS: Awwww... Achha sun...tujhe yaad hai, jab tu company ka CEO bana tha tab mujhse pucha tha ki main tujhse kya chahti hoon, main jo bhi mangungi tu mujhe wo dega, aur maine kaha tha main sahi time aane par mang lungi... Yaad hai?

V: Ye kaisi baat hai mom... Obviously yaad hai... Batao, apko kuch chahiye kya?! Jo chahoge wahi dunga... Soch lo, aisa mauka fir nahi aayega.. *wink and Veer's traditional laugh*

SS: Soch liya....Tu dekh le, pakka na?! Apne baat se baad mein mukar mat jana...

V: Arre ha maa, pakka... Promise... Ab bata bhi do kya chahiye....

SS: Main chahti hoon ki tu shaadi karle...

V: *stood up in shock*... Whaat!! Mom no, this is cheating... Aisa nahi ho sakta... Aapne jaan-bujh kar mere saath dhoka kiya... Main aapki ye wish nahi poora kar sakta... I am sorry... THIS IS JUST NOT DONE MOM..

SS: Kyun Veer??! Problem kya hai?? Mujhe pata tha tu yahi karne wala hai... Abhi vada kiya mujhse aur abhi vaade ko tor raha hai.. Tu humesha aisa hi karta hai...

V: Mom, no... Don't even try to go there okay...I know what you are trying to do... Mom, you know what my problem is, why I don't want to get married, then why on the earth are you doing this with me?

SS: Wahi to... Mujhe samajh nahi aati tujhe shaadi, pyaar ye sab se itni chirr kyu hai... Dekh mujhe aur tere Dad ko, hum kitne khush hai ek dusre ke saath..Teri Badima aur Bade papa ko dekh, kitne achhe se hai... Fir?

V: Mom aaplogo ki baat alag hai... aaplogo ke samay mein sabkuch bohot alag tha, sab log bohot loyal hote the... Ajkal aisa nahi hota, sab swarthi hogaye hain...

SS: Meera bhi to ajkal ki larki hai, Tapish uske saath kitna khush hai... Kitna pyaar hai dono mein... Ab iske bare mein kya bolega tu??

V: Mo-Mom... Meera bhabhi aur Tapish bhai ek dusre ko bachpan se jante hai, wo log humesha se hi ek dusre ke saath the, class 11 mein pyaar hogaya, fir 14 saal date kiya, fir shaadi karli.... Undono ki life humesha se hi ek dusre ke saath juri hui thi, isliye ye baat hi nahi aati hai...
Par mere life mein aisa koi nahi hai Mom, you know... And ajkal ki ladkio mein wo baat hi nahi hai; wo sirf apne aap ko samajhte hai, aur kisiko nahi....

SS: Veeru...meri baat maan... Ye ladki sabse alag hai... Tujhe mujhpar vishwas nahi hai kya?!

V: Aap par vishwas hai Mom.. lekin uss larki par nahi hai, rather koi bhi larki par nahi hai...

SS: Tu kal humare saath chal raha hai, usko dekhne...

V: Dekhne ki kya zaroorat hai... Apne to mujhko aise karke zabardasti convince kara lia, to sidha shaadi ke mandap par hi bula lete mujhe... *annoyed*

SS: Aisa nahi hota Veeru... Main tujhe force kar sakti hoon, uss larki ko nahi...ek bar mil le, mere khatir...*puppy eyes*

V: Ok fine...mil lunga... Bye, main apne room mein jaa raha hoon... Aj khana room mein bhej dena...
Veer left his parent's room angrily.

Veer passed Balwant while going towards his room, but didn't even looked at him. Balwant became sure that something was terribly wrong with his son, otherwise he never leaves a chance to annoy his father.
Balwant went in his room and asked,
BS: Kya hua hai Shalu... Veer itne gusse mein kyun hai??
SS: *sigh* Shaadi ke baat ko lekar gussa hai..
BS: Mujhe issi baat ka tension tha... Mujhe pata tha wo nahi manega..
SS: Aap chinta mat kijiye.. Maine usse mana liya hai.. Mai jitna usse pyaar karti hoon, utni achhe se usse manana bhi jaanti hoon...
BS: Thank god... Bani se ekbar iski shaadi ho jaye, tab mujhe chain milega...
SS: Sach mein... Main bohot khush hoon ye sochkar ki mujhe Bani jaisi bahu urf beti milegi...*smile*

On the other hand, Veer went to his room and sat thinking...
"Kya karu.. Maa ko promise kiya hai, ab na bhi nahi kar sakta... Ab kal milne bhi jana parega, urghhh.... Mujhe kuch hal nikalna hi parega iss shaadi se bachne ke liye..."

The next day, everyone in The Tejvini Villa was busy to make everything look perfect. Tej was himself checking the food arrangements and Jahnvi was running here and there to check whether everything is being done properly or not.. Afterall it's the matter of their only daughter's wedding.. Jahnvi was going to check on Bani when she heard the car horns... They have arrived....

The Singhania family- Balwant, Shailee, Barun, Bhavani, Daksh, Meera, Veenisha- they all came inside and settled themselves in the hall. Balwant introduced Tej and Jahnvi with everyone they didn't know. Tej couldn't see Veer anywhere and was going to ask, when Shailee told
SS: Wo sorry, actually Veer ka na office se ek important call aagaya isliye wo bahar hai... Call khatam hote hi andar aa jayega, kuch der mein hi... Aur Tapish aj nahi aa paya kyunki wo Pankaj ke saath uska college gaya hai, ek form fillup karne...
T: Oh okay, koi baat nahi... Next time mil lenge dono se... Aur Veer bahar kyun hai, andar aake bhi to baat kar sakta tha..
BS: Kyunki uske Maa ka strict order hai, kaam ko kaam ke jagah par khatam karke hi ghar aaye...*laugh*
T: Oh, ye achha hai...*smile*
J: Aaplog baithiye, main Bani ko bulake lati hoon..

Jahnvi was going to call her daughter when she saw her coming down, looking gorgeous in an anarkali suit. Jahnvi smiled, her daughter has really grown up..
Bani was coming down, she looked towards the hall and gasped inwardly.
"Ye kya, itne saare log... 1, 2, 3, 4..7, haa 7 loggg... Itne saare log, sab mujhe dekhne aaye hai..Oh god... Aur inn mein se Main wala kaunsa hai, wo Kala jacket wala?! Arre wo to mujhse umar mein 2-3 saal chhota lagta hai...hey bhagwan, wo na ho, plz..."
She became very conscious and went there slowly, but was still able to smile confidently at everyone. When she went closer and stood beside her Maa, she could identify a face among them!
"Arre!! Ye to wahi hai jinse mein Angel's Home mein mili thi... kya naam tha, haa, Mrs. Chopra.."
She smiled happily and was going to talk to her when her father started introducing her to everybody.. To her relief, the guy in the black jacket was the Supposedly-Groom's brother. But, another newly gathered information shocked her. "Wait, she is Mrs. Singhania?! Fir parso unhone jo mujhe bola ki wo Mrs. Chopra hai?"
Anyways, she thought to investigate about it later. First things first, she went and touched feet of all the elders including her own parents and shook hands with the juniors. Her good manners pleased everyone easily. Veenisha instantly developed a liking for her hone-wali Bhabhi. She even got up and hugged her, and Bani even hugged her backk🥺.. So sweet!!

Shailee called Bani and made her sit beside herself. Bani sat there happily. The moment Bani noticed Tej and Balwant was busy talking, she whispered to Shailee,
B: Ek baat puchu? Aapki koi jurwa behen hai kya jiska naam Mrs. Chopra hai.. wo actually main na unse mili thi shayad Sunday ko..
SS:*smile* Wo main hi thi.. Actually mera pura naam hai Shailee Chopra Singhania, isliye usdin Mrs. Chopra bola tha maine...
B: *smiles understandingly* Oh achha, ab main samjhi... Nice to meet you again, Aunty...

Shailee was talking with Bani, when the bell rang.
"Main dekhti hoon", Bani told and went to see who came.
She opened the door to see a man standing there in white shirt and black chinos, facing his back towards the door.
"Excuse me", Bani called and the man turned and shifted his look from his mobile screen to her face.
Bani was shocked..Mr. Singhania was himself standing there with all his glory...
"Mr.Singhania is my Supposedly-Groom.. Holy Shit... My most desirable crush is going to be my future husband...What the...
Maa ko to maine kal bata diya ki 'Pehli Nazar Mein Kaisa Jaadu Kar Diya' nahi hoga, par yaha to sachme waisa hi hogaya... Ab kya karuuu..."
Bani quickly masked her emotions and smiled at him and called him inside.
The same thought was going in Veer's mind.. "Ye, yaha?!.. kya naam tha, haa, HR Sharma, Mom ne issko chuna hai mere liye?! Shitttt... Koi nahi, main kaunsa shaadi karne wala hoon.. Itna na soch ke abhi andar jaata hoon" He smiled at Bani formally and came inside.
"Kitna akdu hai ye.. aise smile kiya jaise aj mujhe pehlibar dekha...huh"
Thinking this, Bani frowned and closed the door and came and stood beside her Maa..

After sometime, the elders decided to let the two talk in private, and told Bani to take him to her room.. But Bani took her to the garden instead, she didn't like when strangers entered her room and judged her choices.
Veeranshu and Bani were walking silently...Bani wanted to talk, but couldn't bring herself to say anything..  She was nervous...

V: Umm, hi, HR Sharma...
B: (HR Sharma, whattt?! Youuu, wait and watch) Hi, CEO Singhania..
V: *looked shockingly* umm, sorry... Hi, I am Veeranshu Singhania...
B: (ab aaye na line par) Hi Veeranshu, myself Bani..
Veeranshu smiled. He didn't know how to say it to her... After few mins of silence, Veeranshu started,
V: Ms. Bani, look, I will come straight to my point... I am not interested in relationships and marriages, but my Mom wants me to get married and so I am here... I can't deny her because she has made me promise her that I will agree with her in this matter... So, I want you to say that you don't want to get married to me.. Thanks...
Veeranshu told this to Bani and went inside without sparing a glance at her face.

Bani stood there confused about what to do...
"Kya kaha usne?! Shaadi nahi karni, isliye mujhe na bolna parega... Kya main itni buri hoon ki usne mujhe jaane bagair hi mana kar diya?.... Nahi Bani tu zyada soch rahi hai, aisa kuch nahi hai... Tune suna nahi? Usne kaha ki use shaadi mein interest nahi hai, isme teri kya galti....
Par..par main na kaise keh sakti hoon.. Veeranshu bohot achha insaan hai, use dekhkar hi lagta hai... Agar next rishta itna achha na aaye to?! Nahi main na nahi keh sakti.. mujhe ye mauka jaane nahi dena chahiye, mujhe haa hi kehna hoga... Magar Veeranshu, uska kya? Main apne personal reasons ke liye use ek zabardasti ke shaadi mein nahi badh sakti.. Mere pass aur koi chara bhi to nahi hai....Hey bhagwan, humesha main hi milti hoon apko ye sab pareshani dene ke liye.....
Main haa hi kahungi, shadi ke baad main Veeranshu ko sab bata dungi kyun maine aisa kiya.. I hope wo samjhega... Ek bar bas shaadi ho jaye, uske baad jo hoga dekha jayega... Main sab sambhal lungi.. Mere pas issbar selfish hone ke ilawa aur koi option nahi hai... I am so sorry Veeranshu.. I hope you don't misunderstand me for this... Sorry.."

Bani finally made her mind and went inside. When Bani entered the hall, she saw the Singhanias preparing to leave. As soon as they saw her, they stood up to leave.. Balwant told,
BS: Bohot late ho gaya hai, ab hume chalna chahiye...
Badepapa(Barun): Haa, aur ab to aana jaana chalta rahega...*laugh*
Everyone smiled at that statement, except the two souls, Veeranshu and Bani.

Before leaving, all the Singhanias (except Veer) came and met Bani one last time. Daksh and Veenisha exchanged their number with their already favourite Bani bhabhi-to-be; and Veenisha gave Bani another hug and also a cheek kiss, and left smiling.

Everyone went outside, Shailee was the last one to leave. She came towards Bani and gave her a motherly hug. She then told Bani in her ears to let her know about her decision of marriage by tonight and gave her number, and left. Bani smiled and waved bye to everyone..
The family was indeed sweet...
