"Hiii Sweetheart....."

Bani groaned in frustration. She had been hearing this same thing for the last 1 hour. Bani was wearing a blue coloured t-shirt with Sweet written on it and a heart in the middle. Veer saw it while coming down in the morning, and ever since then, he had been calling her as Sweetheart.

After what happened yesterday, their equation changed. They were no more at loggerheads with each other. Instead, Veeranshu was irritating Bani just for fun. He noticed how Bani had squinched her nose when he called her Sweetheart for the first time, and he took it as a cue. She was getting irritated everytime he was calling her Sweetheart, and he was sitting and enjoying that.

V: Sweetheart suno na....

B: Veeranshu, main sach keh rahi hoon, ab hath ke samne jo milega wo fek ke marungi.. Stop irritating me...

V: Aise kaise...

Bani was going to reply him back when her phone rang. Veer heard the ringtone and looked at her amazed. Dil Ibaadat was his favourite song too... Bani saw who was called, and before picking up told Veeranshu,

B: Dekho, thodi der chup baitho.. Maa call kar rahi hai... Plz don't disturb...

He nodded in agreement, and she picked up the call...

B: Hiiii Maaaate... Whasssuppppp?!... You're missing me right?!...

J: .........

B: Obviously Maa... Ye bhi koi puchne wali baat hai?!.. Haa wo bhi theek hai, bohot bindaas hai... *glaring Veer*

J: .............

B: Wh-what... No... Arree arree... Maa baat to suno... Call kaat diyaaaa...Oh God....

Bani plastered a fake smile on her face, and went near Veer. Veer looked at her.

V: *raising his eyebrows* Kya hua?!...

B: *extra sweetly* Veeranshu, meri ek halp karoge?!...

V: *with attitude* Pehle batao... Fir sochunga...

B: *angry but instantly bringing back the fake smile* Maa ne hum dono ki eksath ek pic mangi hai, abhi... Plz ek pic click karlo...

V: *thinking for sometime* Ok, but badle mein mujhe kya milega?!..

B: Dekho main badle mein vishwas nahi rakhti.. I am a very peaceful person...
Veer looked at her and then laughed at the nonsense joke.

V: Goddd... Pagal ho tum.... Chalo, mobile do...

Veer took her mobile, and clicked a picture with her. Bani then sent it to her Maa.

V: Dekho... Maine picture click karliya tumhare sath... Ab tum iske liye mujhe ek aur bar lasagna banake khilaogi...

B: *smiling* Oh, to ye baat hai... Obvio banake khilaungi... Aj sham ko hi banaungi, ok?!....

Veer smiled and they went to get ready for their respective work.

At the evening after returning from the office, Bani was in the kitchen preparing the lasagna when Veer entered the kitchen.

V: Bani, ise oven mein deke mere saath poolside chalo...

B: Kyun?!...

V: Aisehi... Chalo, pata chal jayega...

She put the lasagna in the oven with the timer on, and then turned to look at Veer.

B: Main nahi jaungi...

Veer picked up a knife from the knife stand, and held it beneath her chin.

V: Tumne bhi aisehi mujhe boli thi na usdin! Wo bhi butter knife se.. Par ye to asli knife hai... Ab main bol raha hoon, chalo poolside...

B: *scared* H-h-haa m-main to mazak k-kar rahi thi... Aise chaku ki nokh par rakhke k-kyun bol rahe ho.... M-main chalungi na t-tumhare sath... Ch-chalo chalte hai...

Bani quickly ran towards the poolside. Veer smirked and kept the knife in place, and then followed her.

In the poolside, there was an arrangement of a mini pool party. Many cold drink bottles were kept on a table. Bani smiled seeing the arrangement.

Veer came and smiled at Bani. He offered her a cold drink and himself took one. She took the bottle and opened the seal. The moment she opened the cap, the cold drink started gushing out of the bottle like a fountain and hit her face. Her clothes became wet with the colddrink. Bani understood the whole scenario. He had surely put mentos in the cap, so when she opened the bottle the mentos went inside the colddrink and the reaction happened...

Bani saw Veer laughing hard. He was standing at the edge of the pool. She went near him and tried to push him inside the pool, but Veer instantly grabbed her hand and they both fell into the pool together.

She held him tightly, and they both lifted their face from inside the water. They looked at each other angrily, but Veer burst out laughing seeing her grumpy face. Bani was trying hard to be angry, but seeing him laugh, she couldn't help but smile.

V: Mujhe pata tha tum yahi karogi...I made a full-proof plan this time... *Laugh* Arre ye kya, tum to theek se bheege hi nahi... Ruko, main bheege deta hoon...

Saying this, he started pouring water on Bani by his hands. She also started to splash water on him.

B: Bass bohot hogaya... Ab niklo yaha se... Fresh hokar lasagna bhi to khana hai...

V: Oh haa chalo chalo....

Veer hurriedly came out of the pool, and then helped Bani to come out. She started walking faster towards the entrance, but suddenly her leg slipped. She closed her eyes in fear, but someone held her just before she could touch the ground. Bani opened her eyes, and saw Veer holding her tightly from her waist. She got lost in his eyes.
Her trance broke when she felt her legs in air. Veer had picked her up and had started walking inside the house carrying her like that... She started wriggling in his arms and kicking her legs.

B: Kya kar rahe ho?!...Chhoro mujhe... Main chal sakti hoon... Chhoroooooo...
*wriggling* Veeranshu chhoro mujhe..

Veer stopped being irritated.
V: Haa pata hai tum chal sakti ho... Maine dekha kaise tum girne wali thi.. *smirking* Aur ye bhi dekha kaise maine tumhe 3 bar bulaya par tum mere aankhon mein khoyi huyi thi... Isliye aise lana para tumhe... Ab chupchap shant raho... Ek aur bar chhoro bola to main sach mein chhor dunga aisehi, fir mat bolna ki lag gayi...

Bani kept quiet being embarrassed. He took her to her room and then put her down.

V: Jaldi neeche aao... Mujhe lasagna khana hai... Ok byeee...

Veer ran to his own room. Bani smiled at his madness and went to change.

Bani came down after changing and saw Veeranshu already waiting there eagerly. Bani went into the kitchen, served the Lasagna in two plates and brought it to the dining table.

Veer sat and smelled it. He then took a bite and relished the taste, just like the previous day. Bani smiled and started eating. After about 2-3 minutes, Veer suddenly told,

V: Sweetheart, jaldi se apna hath do...

B: *glaring* Stop that... Aur, haath kyun doon?!...

V: *smiling inwardly* Arre do to, jaldiii....

She forwarded her left hand towards him hesitantly. He held her hand and kissed on the backside of her hand. Bani's eyes widened.

V: Wo kal maine kaha tha ki mann kar raha hai jisne khana banaya hai uska hath chumlu, par chumna bhul gaya.. Isliye aj chum liya...

Bani quickly took her hand back. Veer kept on looking at her with a smug smile while eating. She looked down and blushed, and continued eating.

The next morning, Veer came down and saw Bani making breakfast in the kitchen. He went to her.

V: Good Morning, Sweetheart...

B: *glaring* Good Morning...

V: Wo, I have decided something...

B: What?!...

V: I have decided to put our prank war to rest.... I hereby, announce that I will not prank you or irritate you anymore...

B: Wow, I am glad that you decided this... Mujhe sweetheart bhi nahi bulaoge that means... Wow...

V: Sirf wo hi constant rahega...baki sab badmashi bandh..

B: *scoffed* You are the worst...

V: *laughing* I know I know... Main hero nahi hoon, villain hoon villain..

B: Pata hai...huh...

Saying this, Bani went upstairs, and Veer smiled.

As promised by Veer, their prank wars really stopped. They both were finally at peace with each other. They spent the day normally, without doing any mischief.

The next day, Veeranshu reached his office and directly went to Tapish's cabin.

V: Hey Tapish Bhai... Good Morning....

TS: Good Morning Veer... Aur bol, Lasagna khaya?!

V: *confused* Aapko kaise pata?!...

TS: Arre mujhe kaise pata matlab?!.. Bani ne Meera ko call kiya tha, parso.. Tu gussa tha usdin Bani se, to Bani ne Meera se puchha tera favourite khana kya hai... Wo tujhe manane ke liye puchh rahi thi...

V: *impressed* Ohhh achha... Ha bohot achha tha...

Just then, Daksh entered the cabin. He heard Tapish talking about the lasagna. He smirked but kept quiet.

Daksh: Good Morning Veer Bhai...

V: Arre Daksh...Good Morning...

Daksh: Veer bhai.. Shailee-maa ne mujhe ye bolne ke liye bheji hai ki kal aap aur bhabhi ghar aakar lunch karenge... Tapish Bhai, aapko to Shailee-maa ne already bol diya hai, right?!..

TS: Ha ha...

V: Ohh ok...Done....

Veer came back the office and entered the house to find it dark. He tried switching on the switch, but when the lights didn't turn on, he realised that there was no electricity. Veer called Bani, but no reply came. He called her again, but again there was no reply. Veer became nervous, and ran upstairs to her room.

He reached her room, and could hear light sobs from within. He opened the door and hurriedly went inside. Bani was sitting at one corner of the room, resting her head on her knees, and sobbing. Veer rushed to her and sat near her.

V: *tensed* Bani.. Bani kya hua??!...

The moment she heard his voice, she looked up and instantly hugged him.

B: *sobbing* V-veer...Veer... andhera.. Veer mujhe andhere se d-darr lagti hai...Veer...Plz kuch karo...

V: *patting her head* Sshhh.. Shhh... Chup... Main hoon yaha... Kuch nahi hoga... Bani...Shant hojao..Main hoon tumhare sath...

He made her stand up while hugging her. After few seconds, the lights came back. Veer came out from the hug, and held her face. He wiped her tears, and told her,

V: Kuch nahi hua... Ab sab thik hai.. Aur, ek baat kahu?! Andhere se koi darta hai kya?!.. Bani, jab bhi andhere se darr lage, tab ek baat yaad rakhna-
"Wo kya kisiko darayenge,
  Jise ek ittu sa diya dara deta hai..
  Usse kya darna,
  Jise ek jugnu bhi hara deta hai..."
Ok?!...
Saying this, Veer again hugged Bani.

After breaking the hug, he said,
V: Aur to aur, current nahi thi, ac bhi nahi chal raha tha... Iss garmi mein tum hoodie pehnke baithi ho.. Dekho kya halat banaya hai apni...Waise to humdono match kar rahe hai humare dress code mein, par fir bhi tum jao jake change karlo... Main niche hoon, ok?!...

Bani smiled after he went. She was seeing an all-total different side of him, a caring loving sweet side.

Bani went down to the kitchen and saw Veer sitting on the kitchen slab and looking inside his cup. Woahhh he looked hot in that hoodie....

She went behind the kitchen pillar and took out her mobile from the trouser pocket. She peeped into the kitchen, and he was looking at other side, she clicked his picture. She looked at the picture admiringly and then put the mobile back in her pocket.

Bani entered the kitchen smiling. Veer looked at her and smiled back. "He has a charming smile.... Oh Baniii!!! Get a grip..." She mentally scolded herself and stopped smiling.

V: Mom ne kaha ki kal him subah se leke lunch tak wahi rahenge.. Fir waha lunch karke ghar lautenge...

B: Ohh...Kal....mmm ok....

V: Kyun tumhari koi plans thi kya?!..

B: Haa plan to tha... Plan nahi, kaam... Har Sunday ko hi hota hai.. Par, koi nahi.. Main manage kar lungi... Monday ko chali jaungi....

V: Okkk...

They had their dinner and went to sleep.

The next morning, Veer came down and saw Bani already waiting for him with a tiffin box in her hand.

V: Good  Morning... Ye kya?! Tum waha tiffin leke ja rahi ho apne liye?!...

B: *Mocking laugh* Haha..Very funny... Maine sabke liye Moong Halwa banayi hai, wahi leke ja rahi hoon...

V: Oh achha... Oh btw...*hesitating* Waha kisiko nahi pata ki...

B: *smiling*Ki tum caretaker ke biwi ko aane se mana kar chuke ho aur yahan cook main karti hoon... I know... I won't tell it to anyone, you chill...

V: *shocked* How do you know?!...

B: *wink* Secret... Chalo ab...

Veer went behind Bani, and sat in his car. Bani sat in the passenger seat. He tried to start the car, but the car didn't start. He tried many times, but nothing happened.

V: Arre car to start hi nahi ho raha... Ab kaise jaaye?!...

B: It's okk... Kuch der ruk jao.. Meri driver aane hi wala hai meri car ko yaha drop karne... Wo aajayega to usme chale jayenge...

V: You mean your Audi?!...

B: Nahi nahi... Not that one... That stays in this garage only... Dhyan kaha rehta hai tumhara?!.... My other car... It was in the service centre... Aj driver use yaha de jayega... I don't like to drive the Audi, that's why the driver is there.. The other car, I drive it myself...

V: *surprised* You have two cars?! Of your own?!... And you can drive?!...

B: *laughing slightly* Yess... I have two cars of my own, and I can drive... Why?!...

V: Nope...nothing...

Soon, the driver reached there with her Mercedes. Veer looked at the car like it was a UFO. He always had a fascination for cars, and thus had the latest models of best cars. But, this Mercedes model was a special edition one. Only 20 cars of this model could be seen in India, and Bani had one of those.. Wowwww....

Bani smiled at his expression, and took the keys from the driver. She went to the driver side, and called Veer to sit. He came running and sat on the passenger seat. Bani sat, and looked at Veeranshu. He was looking at the steering wheel like a child looks at his favourite candy. She smiled inwardly, and told,

B: Veeranshu, tum drive karoge?!..

V: *excited* Main?!... Are you sure?!..

B: Yup, very sure...Aajao iss side..

Bani came out of the car and went towards the passenger side. Veer looked at her astonished. He never liked when someone wanted to drive his cars... He never even gave the keys to his own brothers... And here, Bani was asking him to drive her car, a special model car like this... This girl surely was something... Veer went to the driver side, and sat. Bani sat in the car, and he started driving.

Bani smiled seeing his happiness, and they drove to the destination.

They reached Singhania Mansion, and came out of the car. Veer was going to give Bani the car keys, but Bani told,

B: Apne paas hi rakhlo... Jaane ke time bhi tum hi drive karna...

Veer got happy and kept the keys in his pocket. They entered the hall together. The moment they entered, Daksh and Ponky started singing...

Faasle aur kam ho rahe hain
Door se paas hum ho rahe hain
Faasle aur kam ho rahe hain

Maang loonga tujhe aasman se

(They acted like a couple and sang)

(Puchki joined them, and the three sang together pointing at Bani)

Bani blushed getting what they meant, while Veer kept glaring them.

Bani saw Shailee in the kitchen, and went to her after mock glaring at them. Veer went to Daksh and told in his ears, "zyada udd mat".

She saw Tapish Bhai, Meera Di and Daddyji coming to sit in the dining, and went to sit with them. She sat in her chair and started talking to everyone. Soon, Daksh Ponky and Puchki joined.
Veer came after sometime, and was going to sit when Bani told,
B: Veer, chair pe cockroach...

Veer sprang up and looked at the chair scared. Everyone saw him like that and started laughing. He understood what Bani did, and picked up the pepper powder from the table. He went near him and tried to sprinkle it. Bani covered her mouth with her hands.

B: *laugh* Achha achha...sorry...plz plz...sorry...

V: *keeping the pepper back* Yaad rakhna aage se...

Everyone looked at them amazed. They had made an unexpected bond within two weeks...

The house-help came and served breakfast to everyone. At the end, Shailee came and served Bani's Moong Halwa to everyone and sat to eat.
Daksh took a bite of his food, and told,

Daksh: Kya bhabhi...Moong Halwa khila rahe ho... Hume bhi Lasagna khilao...Hume bhi to aapke hath ka Lasagna khana hai....

Veer quietly looked at his plate, while Bani blushed.

Ponky: Haa bhabhi.. Humne suna hai ki aap itna achha Lasagna banate ho ki haath chumne ka mann karta hai..

Veer choked his food at Ponky's comment and started coughing. Bani hurriedly made him drink water and patted his back. After he came back to normal, Daksh again started,

Daksh: Kya bhai.. Ponky to bass mazak kar raha tha... Sach mein aisa hua kya?!...

Bani's face flushed, but she tried to cover it up by glaring at Daksh. Meera and Tapish were smiling within themselves.
Shailee understood the situation and came in their rescue.

SS: *mock glare* Bass bohot hogaya... Chup ekdam.. Un dono ki beech ki baat hai, tum kyu par rahe ho?!...

V: *whinning* Mom ap bhi?!..

Everyone laughed seeing Veer and Bani's flushed faces, and continued eating.

After the lunch, Veer and Bani were going to leave, when Ponky suddenly demanded,

Ponky: Bhabhi, jaane se pehle ek gaana suna do... Humne suna hai ki ap bohot achha gaati ho...

Daksh: Haa Bhabhi, ek gaana hojaye..

B: Okk...Wo to theek hai... Par tumhe kisne bataya?!..

Ponky: Wo Mi *stopped realising what he was going to tell*... Meera Bhabhi ne...

Daksh and Puchki smiled at each other mischievously seeing Ponky's condition. Veer saw it and understood who had told them.

B: *confused* Meera Di?! Par Meera Di ko kaise pata?!...Ruko, Meera Di ko aane do washroom se, main unse puchhti hoon....

V: *in her ears* Chhoro na Sweetheart, abhi detective mode pe mat jao.. I know kisne bola hai, I will tell you once we reach home...

B: *elbowing him* Stop calling me Sweetheart.. Aur tumhe kaise pata?!..

V: *whispered* Pata hai.. Ab tum gaana ga do, aur ghar chalo... Warna ye log full plan bana rakhe hai humare taang khichne ke...

Bani agreed to them, and sang Lag Ja Gale... Veer was mesmerized hearing her sweet and soulful voice. Everyone appreciated her a lot.

Before leaving, Shailee gave them a Tulsi Plant and told them to plant it in their garden. They agreed, and finally left from there after bidding bye to everyone.

After coming back home, they directly went to the garden to plant the Tulsi.

They chose a nice place, and Veer started digging a small hole in the ground with a trowel. He was taking more time than usual.

B: Kya kar kya rahe ho?! Itna slow?!..

V: Lo, tum hi karlo fir...

B: Haa do.. Main hi karlungi...

V: Nahi rehne do.. Lag jayegi...
Bani smiled seeing his care.

V: Aur ha... Wo gaane wala baat Mishti ne inlogo ko bataya hai...

B: Kya, Mishti ne?! Matlab meri behen Mishti?!... Usne kab batayi?! Aur tumhe kaise malum?!..

V: To be honest, I think Ponky is in contact with your sister... Shadi ke time se dekh raha hoon... And wo Mi bolke Mishti hi bolna chah raha tha.. Maine Daksh aur Puchki ki hasi dekhkar samjha..

B: Oh okkk... I got it...

They finally planted the Tulsi and was going back inside the house when Bani's foot slipped and Veer held her.

V: *smirk* Kya baat kya hai?!.. Ajkal idhar udhar fisal rahi ho?!... Kya hogaya hai tumhe??..

B: *getting out of his hold* Wo kya hai na, main thehra raha zameen chalne lagi.. Yahi hogaya hai...

Saying this, she winked at Veer and went inside. Veer stood there baffled.

"Arre.. Ye kya bolkar chali gayi... Mujhe kuch samajh nahi aaya... Also, I think I have heard this line somewhere...God knows where....."

They were finally happy with each other, unknown to the storm that was going to come in their lives the next day...
