Vani came to the airport to send off Tara who were taking their flight to Mumbai.
Veer : Tapish Bhai and Meera, have a safe journey and make sure to call me once you guys reach Mumbai.
Tapish : Sure, Veer. We hope to see you back soon at Mumbai with Bani. Please take care of Bani cautiously and don't be playful like a kid. You are going to become a father in few months so please behave yourself and be responsible to your wife and child. (He advised Veer and hugged him)
Veer : Okay, headmaster. (He teased him and reciprocated the hug)
Meera : Bani, take care of your health and make sure eat on time. Don't forget to take your medicines and be conscious of yourself always. And don....(She was cut by Veer)
Veer : And don't forget to drink the bitter juice everyday. Listen to Veer and obey him always. (He chuckled and Bani hit him softly while Tara laughed)
Meera : Yes, Veer. I have given you the responsibility. Make sure to prepare the juice for her everyday. (She tittered and Bani rolled her eyes)
Bani : Okay, Meera Di. Please call me once you reach home. I will be waiting for your call.
Meera : Sure, Bani. (She gave a hug to Bani)
Bani : Tapish Bhai, you too please take care of your health and make sure to call me once you reach home. I'm going to miss you both a lot. And thank you so much for visiting here for my birthday. (She hugged Tapish too)
Tapish : It's our pleasure, Bani. Take care of yourself and I hope to see you soon at Singhania's mansion again. (He said while reciprocating the hug)
Veer : Guys, if you three keep hugging here then you would probably take tomorrow's Mumbai flight only. (He chuckled)
Tara : Okay guys. Bubye take care.
Veer : Have a safe journey!
Bani : Tapish Bhai and Meera Di, remember to not tell anyone about me. I will come back when the right time arrives.
Tara : Okay, Bani. (They went inside the airport and Vani went back home)

Next day at 7:00am :
Bani woke up next to Veer and saw him sleeping cutely with a smile. She kissed on his forehead and slowly got up from the bed without disturbing him. She went to take her shower and get dressed up by 7:30am. She was combing her hair when she saw Veer stirring from his sleep. She went near him and woke him up by caressing his head.
Bani : Veeranshu, wake up. It's 7:30am already. We have to go to the office.
Veer : 5 minutes, sweetheart. (He said with his eyes closed)
Bani : Okay, wake up on your own after 5 minutes. I'm going to the kitchen.
Veer : Haan.

Bani then went to Mithra's room to wake her but she was not there. She called Mithra and got to know that Mithra did not return home last night as she went back to her apartment. Then Bani prepared some sandwiches for Veer and oatmeal for her. It was 7:50am so she went back to their room to see if he had woken up or not and as she expected, he was still sleeping by snuggling more into the pillow.
Bani : Veeranshu, wake up! It's 7:50am. (She started shaking his shoulder)
Veer : 5 minutes, Bani.
Bani : No more 5 minutes. It's getting late so wake up now.
Veer : Bani, we are not going to the office today. Do you remember that we are going to Kolkata today? (He was fully awake)
Bani : I'm not coming, Veeranshu. You are going alone. Please don't force me.
Veer : What?? (He got up from bed with wide eyes) Gharwali, last night you told me you are coming with me. Now why are you changing the plan again?
Bani : Yes, I did because I thought I won't be able to accept the dare but finally I accepted it so it's considered as I won the game.
Veer : This is not fair, Bani. You are coming with me. That's it. (He said in his serious tone)
Bani : I said I'm not coming, Veeranshu. No more argument. That's final. I AM NOT COMING! (She raised her voice)
Veer : Sweetheart, please? Don't torture me like this. I want to go there with you. (He took her hands in his, caressing her palms)
Bani : Please don't force me. You are going to come back in 2 days right then what's the problem with going alone?
Veer : Why are you being so stubborn, Bani? (He asked exasperatedly)
Bani : I can ask you the same. (She said, rolling her eyes)
Veer : You are not coming right? Okay, fine. I can go alone! (He said this, went inside the washroom and slammed the door loudly)
Bani's mind voice : I'm sorry for hurting you. I can't go to Kolkata anymore after the worst nightmare that took place in my life. I know you are upset with me, Veeranshu. I'm not in the place to explain you everything right now. I will tell you once you come back from your trip.

Bani was waiting for Veer at the dining table to have her breakfast with him. He came out of the room and started searching for his belongings to pack for his trip. Bani was looking at him but he was fuming with anger and didn't even spare a single glance at her. She called him to ask if he needed her help but he was not ready to respond her.
Bani : Veeranshu, I'm asking you do you need anything? (He ignored her and continued searching for his things)
Bani : I'm talking to you, Veer.
Veer : Just mind your own business. (He snapped at her angrily)
Bani : You are searching for your watch right? It's on your study table.
He continued his searching as he didn't want to hear her.
Bani : And your wallet is on the shelf there. (She reminded, pointing at the shelf)
Again he was not ready to listen to her.
Bani : Veeranshu, please talk to me. I'm going to miss you for the next 2 days. (She went near him and tried to cup his face but he moved back) I'm sorry for making you upset. I have my own reasons, Veer. I promise I will tell you once you come back. (She tried to convince him)
Veer did not speak a single word to her. Instead he called Mithra to inform her something.
Veer : Hello, Mithra?
Mithra : Hi, Jiju.
Veer : Mithra, I'm leaving to Kolkata in a while so I won't be able to drop Bani at office. Can you come and fetch her?
Mithra : Sure, Jiju. I will be there in 15 minutes. (They cut the call)
Bani : Veeranshu, you are not going to drop me? I thought you will spend time with me before you depart. What time is your flight? (He remained in silence)
Bani : Veeranshu, please talk to me. Your silence is killing me. (Tears formed her eyes)
Veer : Take care, be safe. (He said this and went back to his bedroom)

Bani started crying as his silence was killing her inside. She wanted to hug him tightly and beg him to break his silence but then she realised he was not even speaking to her, let alone hugging him. She was waiting for him to come out of the room as he latched the door from inside but he didn't show up until 8:45am. By the time Mithra arrived there to pick up Bani, she quickly wiped off her tears and composed herself.
Mithra : Hi, sweetie. Are you ready?
Bani : Haan, just few minutes.
Bani knocked the door of Veer's room.
Bani : Veeranshu, can you please come out? Mithra is here. (She tried saying casually)
He opened the door and greeted Mithra but ignored Bani.
Veer : Hi, Mithra. (He greeted her with a fake smile)
Mithra : Hi jiju, what time is your flight?
Veer : At 11:00am.
Mithra : Okay jiju. Have a safe journey.
Veer : Thank you.
Mithra : Sweetie, shall we go?
Bani : You go first, I will come in 5 minutes.
Mithra : Ahaan, I understand. Okay, enjoy and give my jiju a sweet goodbye kiss. (She giggled and left saying bye to Veer)
Bani was gazing at Veer but he was looking somewhere else deliberately to ignore her.
Bani : Veeranshu, please talk to me for one last time. Please? (She spoke in a quavering voice)
Veer : There's nothing to talk, Bani. Just leave. (He replied in a rude tone)
She couldn't take it anymore, she ran to him and hugged him tightly while her tears made a wet spot on his shirt. He was damn frustrated as she disappointed him so he stopped himself from reciprocating the hug. She tightened her grip and spoke.
Bani : Veer, I'm really sorry for disappointing you. I have my own reasons for not going to Kolkata and I can't tell you that now. I will tell you once you come back or maybe when the right time comes. Please talk to me for one last time. I'm going to miss you a lot.
Veer : Mithra is waiting for you. Just go, Bani. (He said, breaking the hug and pushing her slightly)
That was enough to break her heart into pieces. She wasn't able to take it anymore. She just took her things that she packed earlier and walked away from there without sparing a glance at him. Veer felt bad for hurting her but he felt even more hurt when she refused to follow him. He thought she didn't respect his feelings and was being selfish while she thought the same about him. He felt his heart sank when he saw her wiping her tears and getting into the car but his ego stopped him from running to her and giving her a bone crushing hug.

Veer's mind voice : Why, Bani? Why are you doing this to me? I had made a plan to enjoy our first trip together and I was very excited since last night but you just broke all my feelings and expectations in a fraction of seconds. It hurts me more to see you with tears but I couldn't help myself as you refused to understand my feelings. I really can't stay without you and our child, Bani. I wanted to cancel the trip the very next moment you said you are not coming with me but I'm not going to do it. I'm going to stay away from you for few days to let you know my importance in your life during my absence. I'm not happy with this trip but still I will go there, Bani. I know I'm going to miss you a lot as I have started missing you even now itself but I don't think you will be missing me there. (Tears formed his eyes)

Bani and Mithra reached their office. Bani tried contacting Veer many times but he switched off his phone to ignore her calls. She was not able to focus on her work and in addition she didn't have her breakfast and lunch too. She kept on peeking at her phone in between to see if he got text or call her but she received none of them. The whole day passed with Bani waiting for his call by not having her meals and medicines. Mithra and Arjun tried out as much as possible ways to make her eat but she was very stubborn and refused them strongly. Mithra even tried calling Veer to inform him about Bani but his phone was still switched off. Bani fell asleep that night due to excessive tiredness from crying continuously.

The next day morning, Mithra got up early and went to Bani's room to check on her. Bani was still sleeping so she tried waking her up but she did not give any response. She placed her palm on Bani's forehead and realised she's having fever. She immediately called a doctor and the doctor paid a visit to their apartment. The doctor checked Bani and gave her an injection with few medicines to reduce her body temperature. Mithra called and informed Arjun that she's taking leave as she wanted to take care of Bani then she tried calling Veer to inform him too but his phone was still switched off. Bani was getting weak by the end of the day as she refused to have her meals and medicines again.

It was at 6:00pm, Arjun came back from office and went to Mithra's apartment to check on Bani. Mithra complained him worriedly about Bani, who was being too stubborn to have her food and medicines. Arjun also tried convincing Bani but she was too weak to even argue with him. He forcefully tried feeding her but she threw up the food and passed out within few seconds after throwing up. Both of them got panicked and he immediately carried Bani in his arms and rushed to the nearby hospital. The doctor examined Bani and explained about her critical condition to Mithra and Arjun. She was admitted in hospital as they wanted to give drips to her since she hadn't eaten anything for two days.

Bani was unconscious at hospital for 2 whole days and she gained her consciousness the third day. The first two days Mithra stayed with Bani while the third day Arjun took over the duty to give some rest to Mithra. The two girls were on leave since 4 days and Arjun was on leave for 2 days. The next day, Bani slowly opened her eyes to see Arjun sitting with his eyes closed on the couch beside her bed. She uttered him name weakly and he rushed to her.
Arjun : Bani, are you awake? Thank God, you are finally awake. (He said in a relief tone)
Bani : Where am I now? (She asked, examining her surroundings)
Arjun : You are at hospital, Bani. You are here since 3 days.
Bani : What?? What happened to me? (She tried getting up but failed due to her weakness)
Arjun : Bani, please don't strain yourself. Just take some rest first.
Bani : Where is Mithra?
Arjun : She is at home, taking some rest as she was here with you since the last 2 days.
Bani : Hmmm I'm sorry for bothering you both too much. (She said guiltily)
Arjun : Don't be sorry, Bani. We are doing this to our beloved sister and we do really care about your health and wellbeing.
Hearing the word 'sister' from him gave a huge relief and emotional support to Bani. She broke down and cried hugging him. He understood her pain as Mithra explained him everything about Veer and their relationship so he reciprocated her hug and tried to reassure her. After few seconds, she broke the hug and wiped off her tears.
Bani : I'm sorry. I just broke down when you addressed me as your sister.
Arjun : Don't worry, Bani. I'm here with you and I will always be there for you as one of your family members. (He said, caressing her face)
Bani : Hmm do you know about me? (She asked hesitantly)
Arjun : Yes, I got know about you and our MD too. (He smiled reassuringly)
Bani : Hmmm where is my phone?
Arjun : Wait, it's in the bag. (He took her phone from the bag and forwarded it her)
Bani took the phone and realised it was out of charge.
Bani : Arjun, I have no charge in my phone. Did you bring the charger?
Arjun : No, Bani. You can use my phone. (He gave her his phone)
Bani : Can I make a call to Veer?
Arjun : Sure.
She dialled Veer's number but again his phone was switched off.
Bani : Arjun, it has been 5 days since he went to Kolkata right?
Arjun : Yes, Bani.
Bani : He still haven't come back?
Arjun : I guess so. Mithra tried calling him everyday but couldn't reach him.
Bani : What? He should be back within 2 days. Arjun, please call Mithra and ask her to bring my phone charger. I need to call his brother.
Arjun : Wait, there is a power bank in my car. I will go and get it. (He left to take his power bank)
After 5 minutes, Arjun came back with the power bank and gave it to Bani. She charged her phone using it and switched on her phone. She immediately dialled Tapish's number.
Tapish : Hello?
Bani : Tapish Bhai, I'm Bani here.
Tapish : Hi, Bani. How are you?
Bani : Tapish Bhai, did Veer contact you in last 5 days?
Tapish : No, I tried to call him 2 days ago but his number was not reachable so after that I didn't call him.
Bani : He went to Kolkata 5 days ago, Tapish Bhai. We all have been trying to contact him since 5 days but he didn't answer any single call from us.
Tapish : What?? Seriously? Why did he go to Kolkata?
Bani : He said he had to attend a meeting on Tuesday and he should be back within 2 days but he hadn't come back until now. I'm really scared, Tapish Bhai. Please do something. (She started crying)
Tapish : Bani, just calm down. I will do something now. Please don't worry.
Bani : Please Tapish Bhai, I really need to know his whereabouts. Please do something now.
Tapish : Don't worry I will find out about him, Bani. You don't get panicked. Please take care and be strong. (They cut the call)

Tapish tried to contact Veer but he was not reachable. He informed everything to Balwant and everyone at home. All of them tried calling Veer numerous time but there was no response from him. They decided to bring this issue to the next level but soon they withdrew the idea when Tapish eventually received a call from Veer.
Tapish : Dad, Veer is calling me.
Balwant : Faster answer it.
Tapish : Hello, Veer?
Veer : Bhai? Why are you guys calling me many times? Is everything alright there? (He asked casually)
Tapish : Veer, where are you? We have been calling you since 5 days.
Veer : I'm coming back to Mumbai tomorrow. We can talk then, bhai.
Tapish : Okay but where are you now?
Veer : I will tell you later, bhai. (He said exasperatedly)
Tapish : Veer, do you know that Bani is searching for you?
Veer : Oh. (He said, showing no interest in the topic)
Tapish : What do you mean by oh? She is worried about you, Veer. Why don't you try to contact her?
Veer : I will talk to you later, bhai. Bye. (He cut the call)
Tapish : Veer!! Veer!! Damn he cut the call, dad.
Balwant : What did he say?
Tapish : He said he's coming back here tomorrow so he will talk after that.
Balwant : But why he didn't try to contact Bani?
Tapish : I just don't know what's wrong with him. She is worried about him there but he is not even bothered at all.
Balwant : Okay let him come here first. We will try to find out what's wrong with him.
(P.S. Veer's family knew that Bani was at Delhi as Tapish told them but they didn't know about her pregnancy)

Tapish called Bani and informed her about Veer. She felt relieved as he's safe at somewhere since he spoke to Tapish but she was not happy since he didn't try to contact her when he could contact Tapish. She felt as he had lost his interest in her and she started assuming everything negatively. She even tried calling him again and this time she could hear the call ring but either he cut it or left it until the last ring. She sent him more than hundreds of messages but it all went in vain. She got discharged from the hospital the next day and went back to the apartment. It was on Saturday but Mithra and Arjun were forced to work at their office as they were on leave during the weekdays.

Bani was staying alone at home when she heard the sound of the door bell. Even though she felt very weak both physically and mentally, she rushed to the door hoping it to be Veer when the moment she heard the sound of the door bell. She opened the door excitedly but her excitement vanished away when she saw no one there. She was thinking how could she hear the bell sound when there was no one but later convinced herself by thinking it might be her hallucination and went back to her room sadly. Far from the truth, she wasn't aware of a pair of eyes that had been watching her since she opened the door. Moreover, she seemed to be oblivious to the imminent danger as she was completely lost in thinking about her beloved husband.
