Start as a Couple
Bani woke up and sat straight on the bed blinking her eyes as the morning came. She quietly slipped out of bed, then looked at Veeranshu who was sleeping sound looking as innocent as angel well she knows this man is nothing near innocent.Shaking her thoughts, she gathered her clothes and went into the bathroom.
After her bath, Bani stood before the mirror, as she wiped her hairs, making her damp hair sway.A drop of water slid from her hair and landed right on Veer's face. He groaned in his sleep.
"Ugh," Veer muttered, brushing at his face.
Bani smirked, enjoying the minor irrigation caused to him. She walked over to the window and pulled it open fully, allowing the sunlight to enter the room.
The sudden rush of light made Veer sit up, blinking in confusion. Irritation flashed across his face as he was about to shout at whoever dared disturb his sleep, but his voice froze in his throat.
Before him, Bani stood near the window, her face lifted towards the sun, eyes closed, as if she were praying. Her damp hair glistened, catching the sunlight in a way that made her glow, her skin reflecting a soft golden hue. Veer's breath hitched.
For a moment, it felt surreal, like a dream he had been waiting for through lifetimes. Was this his reality? Did he really marry her-the woman he had waited for, loved for ages?
"Yeh sapna toh nahin?" Veer whispered to himself, his gaze locked on her, completely entranced. She was the most beautiful vision he had ever seen.
Bani, unaware of Veer's gaze, continued her morning prayer, her mind already on the day ahead.

At the breakfast table, the atmosphere was lively as usual, with Veer's cousins, Ponky, Monil, and Daksh, cracking jokes and sharing stories and Mayuri was seated beside Veer. Her business partner was out for some work.
Mayuri leaned in a little closer to Veer, her tone playful. "Veer, mujhe lagta hai tumhe apne busy schedule se break lena chahiye. Last time humne dinner pe itna maza kiya tha... ab phir kab le jaa rahe ho?"
Veer glanced at her with not very interest "Haan, dekhte hain," he replied, his voice flat.
Undeterred, Mayuri flicked her hair back and giggled. "Tum kitne serious ho gaye ho Veer. Tumhare saath toh time kab nikal jaata tha pata hi nahi chalta." Her fingers brushed lightly against his arm, but Veer stiffened slightly, clearly uncomfortable.
Bani watched this from her seat, but her face remained impassive, not giving away any of the irritation building inside her.
Veer, sensing Bani's eyes on them, cleared his throat and subtly moved his arm away. "Haan, bas kaam ka pressure zyada hai aaj kal," he said, trying to sound nonchalant. "Waise bhi, ab main kisi aur ke saath busy hoon," he added, his eyes flicking towards Bani for a moment, a small smile playing on his lips.
Mayuri didn't miss the glance. Her smile faltered, but she quickly recovered. Turning to Bani, she tried a different approach. "Toh Bani, tumhari aur Veer ki shaadi kaafi interesting rahi hogi, right? I mean, suddenly sab kuch ho gaya."
Bani took a sip of water, her eyes meeting Mayuri's. "Haan, sab kuch jaldi ho gaya," she replied curtly, keeping her tone neutral.
Mayuri tilted her head, her smile returning. "Acha? Well, kabhi kabhi toh aise surprises achhe hote hain. Tumhe toh pata hi hoga, Veer kitna romantic hai."
Bani placed her glass down, her voice firm but calm. "Whatever "
Veer, watching this exchange with mild amusement, well to save the situation he jumped in . "Waise Mayuri," he said, his tone now edged with irritation he tried to hide, " tumhe travel kaafi pasand hai?"
Mayuri blinked, clearly not expecting the shift in conversation. "Haan... I love travelling," she said, her voice a little less confident now. "But waise bhi tumhare saath jaana zyada exciting hoga," she added, trying to flirt again.
This time, Veer's patience wore thin. "Hmm, main ab thoda busy hoon Mayuri, lekin tum Ponky aur Monil ke saath plan kar lo. Waise vo bohot interested honge" he replied, his tone bordering on sarcasm.
Ponky and Monil, of course, jumped in eagerly. "Haan Mayuri, hum toh waise bhi ready hain!" Monil grinned.
Veer turned back to his food, satisfied that he had successfully redirected Mayuri's attention elsewhere. But Mayuri's mood was destroyed she excuses herself.

Back in Veer and Bani's Room
After breakfast, Bani began gathering her things for work. She picked up her bag and turned towards the door when Veer, standing near the window, glanced at her.
"Main tumhe drop kar deta hoon," Veer offered, a playful smile on his lips. "Ab hum shaadi-shuda hain. Tumhara husband hoon, toh tumhara khayal rakhna mera farz hai, right?"
Bani paused, turning to look at him with a raised brow. "Main apni scooty par jaa sakti hoon. No need to pretend you care for me, Veer."
Veer chuckled, stepping closer to her, his intense gaze locking with hers. "Pretend karna meri adaat nahi hai, Bani. I don't pretend to care. Main tumse pyar karta hoon, aur kayi hazar saalo se hai. Ab toh haq bhi hai mera tum par. Shaadi huyi hai humari, after all."
His proximity, the weight of his words, and the intensity in his eyes were too much for Bani to handle. She swallowed, her heart racing, but kept her expression neutral.
"Jabardasti ki shaadi ." she muttered under her breath, grabbing her bag and quickly leaving the room before he could say anything else.

Outside the Mansion
As Bani stepped out, she made her way to where her scooty was parked. Her eyes narrowed when she saw that one of the tires was flat.
"Great," she muttered, irritation bubbling up inside her. She glanced around, hoping to find a taxi, and walked a bit down the road, but the street was eerily quiet. No taxis in sight.
Just as she was about to give up, a sleek, black luxury car pulled up beside her. The tinted window rolled down to reveal Veer, grinning at her from the driver's seat.
"Bani," he called out dramatically. "Shaadi jaise bhi huyi ho, ab toh ho gayi hai. Rishta bhi bann gaya hai. Aao, baith jao. I don't want to be a careless husband jo apni wife ko aise late hota hua dekhe."
Bani gave him a sharp look, crossing her arms. "Tum dafa ho jao. Main taxi le lungi," she snapped, turning on her heel and walking away.
Veer chuckled under his breath and leaned out of the window. "Yahan is area mein taxi milna mushkil hai, Bani. Kisi ko taxi ki zarurat hi nahi padti."
"I'll book a cab," she shot back over her shoulder.
Veer checked his watch and then smirked. "Tum late ho jaogi, jaan. Tumhara boss khadoos lagta hai, don't want to make him angry, right?"
Bani stopped in her tracks, thinking about her boss and the potential scolding she'd get if she was late. She sighed in frustration and turned back to the car.
"Fine," she muttered, opening the passenger door and sliding in.
Veer smiled victoriously and started the car. "Good choice, Mrs. Singhania."

As Bani settled into the passenger seat, Veer glanced at her with a smirk. He started the car, and for a while, there was silence, the sound of the engine filling the space between them. Veer, of course, couldn't stay quiet for long.
"Tumhe pata hai, Bani," Veer started, keeping his eyes on the road, "Shaadi ke baare mein toh sapna dekha tha, lekin tum itni jaldi meri ban jaogi... yeh toh socha bhi nahin tha."
Bani rolled her eyes, looking out the window. "Aisi shaadi ke liye main tumhe badhai deti hoon."
Veer chuckled, the sound deep and rich. "Aisi shaadi bhi toh special hoti hai. Tum meri ho, chahe kaise bhi. That's all that matters to me."
She gave him a sideways glance but didn't respond, pretending not to care.
Veer sighed dramatically, shaking his head. "Pata hai, Bani, tumhara yeh 'I don't care' attitude kitna cute lagta hai."
Bani couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. "Cute? Seriously."
"Haan haan," Veer grinned, "Seriously ,lekin main tumhe dekh ke haar baar yeh hi sochta hoon ke meri life mein tumse zyada khoobsurat aur kuch nahi ho sakta."
Bani's heart did a little flip, but she kept her face as neutral as possible. "Flattering se kuch nahi hone wala, Veer."
"Flattering?" Veer laughed softly. "Main sach bol raha hoon." He leaned a little closer, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "Tumhe yaad hai na, humara pehla janam? Tumse pyar karna toh jaise mere DNA mein likha hua hai."
Bani's pulse quickened, but she shot him a sharp look. "Well ye sab bato se koi fayda nahi hoga ."
Veer chuckled again. "Main koi fayda nahi uthaa raha. Tumhe yaad dila raha hoon ke chahe tum kitni door bhaag lo, main tumhara hoon, aur tum meri."
Bani didn't respond, though her silence spoke volumes. She crossed her arms and stared out the window, trying to ignore the flutter in her chest.
