The Singhania family was gathered around the breakfast table, but Veer’s attention was entirely on Bani, his eyes tracing her every movement as she pretended not to notice. The subtle smirk on his face didn’t escape the notice of his ever-observant cousins.

Ponky nudged Daksh with a grin. “Look at Veer bhai—he’s acting like he’s seen a goddess.”

Daksh chuckled. “Never thought he would be so in love with someone.”

Ignoring his cousins, Veer leaned toward Bani, his tone light but magnetic. “You know, Bani, you are taking my all attention I can't even focus on eating. Maybe you should sit somewhere I can’t see you.”

Bani looked up, her expression cool. “Or maybe you should sit somewhere you can’t see me, Veer.”

He grinned, leaning a little closer, eyes never leaving hers. “Trust me, Bani, I’ve tried. It never works. You keep pulling me back like it’s some… cosmic rule.”

She gave a light laugh, shaking her head. “Right. Cosmic rule. Don’t you have other work to focus on?”

He smirked. “Actually, I’m very focused right now. You’ve got my full attention.”

Across the table, Ponky leaned in, half-whispering to Monil. “Our ‘prince’ here is so hopelessly gone… He’s practically living in another dimension right now.”

Monil snickered. “I know! And Bhabhi’s acting like she doesn’t even see him.”

Veer caught their muttered conversation, shooting them a quick look before turning back to Bani, unfazed. “Idiots.Leave it .Bani Sweetheart do you realise you have been distracting me from my pichla janam.I can never be away from you .Maybe you should also focus on my love sometimes .”

She lifted her chin,“Distracting? Veer, some of us actually have real things to think about.”

“Funny,” he said with a smile, “I was thinking the same thing. Just can’t figure out why all my ‘real’ thoughts lead back to you.”

Her gaze softened slightly, but she masked it instantly. “Well, maybe it’s time you found a better path.”

Veer leaned back with a sigh, his eyes never leaving her. “I tried every path. They all seem boring now. You’ve ruined me, Bani.”

She raised an eyebrow. “Me? I thought the infamous Veeranshu Singhania was unbreakable.”

“Turns out, I’m only as unbreakable as you let me be,” he said.

Just then, Shukla approached the table, looking slightly uneasy.

Shukla cleared his throat. “Baba, ek baat batani hai .”

Veer’s smile faded as he turned to Shukla. “Kya baat hai?”

Shukla glanced around the table before speaking in a hushed tone, “Mayuri baahar aa gayi hai. Abhi kuch time pehle hi pata chala. Aapne kaha tha uski kabar rakhne ke liye .”

Veer’s expression grew serious, his relaxed posture changing immediately. “Mayuri ?” He scoffed lightly, thinking about what she must be planning now to hurt Bani.He really needs to work out something to teach her a lesson for life.

Veer nodded, “Thik hai tum jao ab aur uspe nazar rakhna.”

Shukla nodded and retreated, leaving the family to resume their lunch. Bani, catching the shift in Veer’s mood, sensed the hidden tension. She kept thinking what was wrong with these two .

*****************************

After lunch, Bani decided to keep an eye on Shukla after all he knows more about the last day incidents . As he received a quick phone call from another cheel, Bani used the moment to blend into her surroundings.

She overheard Shukla talking in a hushed tone, "Kya ek lead mili hai… main abhi nikalta hoon. Jo kuch bhi hai, wahi pe dekhenge.”

Bani knew this was her chance. She quickly transformed into her snake form, moving unseen until she slipped inside Shukla’s car, hiding in the trunk.

Once they reached a secluded forest area, she slithered out, hiding herself among the trees to observe as Shukla stepped out, looking around cautiously before heading deeper into the woods. Bani followed quietly, determined to uncover what the cheels were up to—and how it might connect to her own quest for answers.

In the dense forest clearing, several cheels stood around, all wearing grim expressions as Shukla approached them. Bani, still hidden in her snake form, watched carefully from the cover of a nearby bush, her senses heightened.

One of the cheels turned to Shukla, his face pale with worry. "Shuklaji, hume woh mil gaya... par uski haalat bahut buri hai," he said, voice laced with concern.

Shukla’s eyes widened slightly, his tone sharp. “Kahan hai woh?”

The cheel pointed towards a makeshift shelter nearby, where another member of the clan lay on the ground, transformed back to his human form—bruised, weak, and barely conscious.

“Yeh wahi jaga hai jahan humne usse paaya,” another cheel explained, gesturing to the area around them. “Hume yeh soch ke hi darr lag raha hai ke kisne yeh haal kiya hoga.Aur bakhi cheel kaha hoge Zinda bhi hoge ya nahi”

Bani observed with a quiet, cautious curiosity. She realized the location was uncomfortably close to where Shreya had been found—and even closer to the hidden boundaries of Naag Lok.

Shukla sighed, running a hand over his face, clearly troubled. “Rajkumar  ko ye sab pata chala toh woh bohot gussa honge,” he muttered, more to himself than to the others. “Lekin unhe batana padega.”

“Lekin Shuklaji,” one of the cheels spoke up, his voice hushed. “Agar cheel  kisi ke radar par hai… toh hum sab ke liye bhi khatra ho sakta hai.”

Shukla nodded gravely. “Isliye hume yahan har cheez ka pata lagana hoga. Yahan kuch toh ajeeb sa ho raha hai... aur agar hum samay par kuch nahi kiya, toh badi musibat mein aa jayegi.”

Bani’s mind raced as she took in every word. There was a dark, almost oppressive aura surrounding the place, the same kind of energy she had sensed from the mysterious letter she received back in her apartment. It was clear this wasn’t a simple attack—there was something else, something darker that tied everything together. But how?

She looked around, noting the surroundings, and an uncomfortable realization settled over her. Could it all be connected? Shreya’s condition, the missing cheels, even the hidden Lok boundaries... Everything seemed to be pointing to a larger, unseen force that was targeting them all.

Bani felt a chill run through her. She thought to herself, I have to figure this out soon… if not, I might lose a battle I don’t even understand yet.

With that, she silently retreated into the shadows, leaving the cheels and Shukla behind as they continued their investigation.

Bani returned home, her mind swirling with the revelations from the forest. But as much as her instincts pushed her to follow every lead immediately, she knew she had to keep up with her routine. She took a deep breath, quickly freshening up and pulling out a professional outfit, a simple but elegant kurta that seemed to match her fierce resolve.

Just as she was adjusting her hair with one last look in the mirror, she sensed a familiar presence near the doorway. Without even turning, she knew it was Veer.

Veer leaned against the doorframe, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips, watching her every move with that intense gaze of his. “Kya baat hai, Ms. Sharma sorry Mrs. Singhania .Ready for office?”

Bani turned around, her eyes narrowing "Hmm"

He took a step into the room, closing the distance between them slowly, his hands casually slipping into his pockets as he approached her ."Should I drop you .After all ye pati kis din kaam aayega sweetheart."

Bani huffed, folding her arms. "Koi jarurat nahi hai Mai chali jaungi."

Veer chuckled,  "Well as usual .Wait a minute Kahi aise toh nahi ki tum muze ignore kar rahi ho because you have started liking me actually started falling for me ."

She rolled her eyes but couldn’t quite hide her smile. "Veeranshu har chiz ko khud ke baare me bana lete ho ."

"Par meri haar baat haar paal ab tumhare baare me hone laga hai ," he replied smoothly, his voice carrying a softness that manage to leave Bani off guard. His hand reached up, brushing a stray lock of hair from her cheek, letting his fingers linger just a bit longer.

For a moment, she felt her guard slipping as her gaze softened, meeting his eyes. She felt that familiar, frustrating warmth spread through her, one she always tried to resist. But here he was, again, pulling her in with his words .

"Veeranshu," she started, her voice almost a whisper, "Tumhari baato ka koi matlab nahi."

Veer’s eyes never left hers. “Matlab tum nahi samjhti, Bani? Kya tum humare past se aage nahi baad sakti .Pichle janam ko bhul kar kya tum muze ek nayi Nazar se nahi dekh sakti .”

There was a vulnerability in his words that tugged at her resolve. She could feel his sincerity, the depth of his emotions, and even though she wanted to turn away, part of her didn’t.

Veer watched  noticing her pause. "Bani mai janta hun Maine Jo kiya past me uski saja tum mujhe de chuki ho ab kis baat ki nafrat."

She let out a small sigh, a hint of laughter in it. “Tum sachme muze se sawal kar rahe ho .Tum bhul gaye Veeranshu Singhania tumne muze is shaadi me meri marzi khilaf Banda hai aur koi reason chahiye muze tumse nafrat karne ke liye .”

Veeranshu felt his heavy in his heart as he recalled what he has done and regreted it too .He never wanted to force Bani but it was his love which would never let him leave her."Bani muze  Muze pata hai ki Maine galat Kiya and I am sorry for it but I can't live without you.Mai apni puri zindagi tumhare liye intezar kar sakta hun.I will keep fighting for my forgiveness too.",said Veer with his avoiding her eyes .He don't want her to see how vulnerable he is now.

Bani shook her head,as she stepped past him, trying to keep her composure intact. "Mujhe late ho raha hai, Veeranshu.Upar se maafi toh tumhe iss janam me kabhi nahi milegi ."

But before she could take another step, Veer gently grabbed her hand, pulling her back for just a moment. His voice dropped low, almost a murmur. "Janta hun par mai koshish karta rahunga.I know one day your heart will forgive me and also accept me."

Bani glanced down at his hand on hers, feeling that same flutter, the one that always confused her, always made her wonder if she was fighting the right battle.

She managed a small smile, stepping away but allowing herself one last look at him."Bas overconfidence hai ye aur kuch nahi ."

Veer chuckled. "Tumhe manane ke liye toh overconfidence bhi kam paad jaaye. But Veeranshu Singhania ke paas bohot confidence hai aur vo kafi hai Mrs.Veeranshu Singhania ke liye."

As she finally made her way to the door, Veer called out, “Aur office se wapas aate waqt yeh mat bhoolna ki main yahi intezaar kar raha hoon.”

Without turning around, Bani simply waved her hand, pretending she wasn’t already looking forward to their next encounter, even if just a little one.Who says Aadinaagin can't take break from her role wondered Bani.Veeranshu actually manages to take her all worries even for sometime thought Bani.
