Jai stood in his mansion, fuming with anger. His mind was racing, and his thoughts were clouded with the realization that he had failed his plan again. Mayuri where was she calling her has failed so many times.

He dialed her number, the screen lighting up as Bani’s name flashed. His grip on the phone tightened, his fingers trembling with frustration. The call rang through, each second feeling like an eternity, before she finally answered.

“Bani,” Jai's voice was sharp, almost accusing. “What did you do? Why did you save Veer?”

Bani’s voice came through, calm and cold as ice. “I don’t owe you an explanation, Jai. But since you insist, I’ll tell you. Veer is innocent in this life. There’s no reason to kill him.”

Jai’s eyes narrowed. “Innocent? How do you know that? What do you think you’re doing, playing both sides? You saved him, Bani. That’s not something someone does unless they have feelings.”

Bani scoffed, a bitter laugh escaping her lips. “Stop making assumptions, Jai. You know nothing about what’s going on. And quite frankly, you should keep your mouth shut. I won’t tolerate this nonsense anymore.”

Before Jai could respond, she ended the call with a swift press of the button, cutting off his protests.

Jai stood there, seething with anger, clutching the phone tightly in his hand. His mind replayed the conversation, and the words Bani had spoken echoed in his ears. “Innocent...?” He couldn’t fathom it. There had to be more to her reasoning. There was something he was missing.

Meanwhile, Bani leaned back against the cold wall of her war room, her breath steady but her heart racing. She had answered Jai’s call without hesitation, but inside, her emotions were a whirlwind. Was it the right decision to save Veer? Or had she just made a mistake? Her mind kept replaying the moments she’d spent with him, the intensity in his eyes, the way he stood by her when no one else would.

But her resolve was firm. She had done what needed to be done for the greater good. She couldn’t afford to fall into any traps of emotion, especially with someone like Veer. No matter how strong the pull between them was, her duty to her people and her cause came first.

Bani’s thoughts were interrupted as a familiar figure entered the room. It was Veer, his eyes as intense as ever, but this time, something else lingered behind them—curiosity. He stood there silently for a moment, before his voice broke the quiet.

“Jai knows, doesn’t he?”

Bani glanced at him, her gaze unwavering. “He suspects something, but he doesn’t know everything. And it’s going to stay that way.”

Veer took a step forward, his presence as commanding as always. “What do you think he’ll do next? What’s his move?”

Bani shook her head, a shadow of worry crossing her face. “Jai is dangerous when he’s backed into a corner. But we’ve given him nothing solid to act on. We’ve kept him in the dark for now, but we need to stay one step ahead. He’ll make a move soon, and we have to be prepared.”

Veer’s expression softened slightly, but there was still an edge to his voice. “Bani... You’re not alone in this. You know that, right?”

She didn’t answer immediately. Instead, her gaze shifted, focusing on the maps and plans laid out on the table before her. She couldn’t afford to get distracted now. The war they were fighting was far from over.

“I know,” she said quietly, though there was a certain distance in her words. She could feel the weight of his gaze on her, but she refused to let herself acknowledge the feelings stirring within her.

The room fell silent once again, but there was a new kind of tension in the air. The storm was coming, and Bani and Veer knew they had to be ready.

As they turned their attention back to their plans, the sound of a phone vibrating interrupted the moment. Bani picked it up and glanced at the screen. It was a message from Tarun, her trusted warrior.

“Aadinaagin, we have a problem. Jai is planning something big. He’s got an army ready to move. We need to act fast.”

Bani’s heart sank. “It’s happening,” she muttered, more to herself than anyone else in the room. She looked at Veer, determination setting in. “It’s time to move. We strike first.”

Veer’s eyes gleamed with a fierce light. “Let’s make them regret underestimating us.”

And so, the game continued. The stakes were higher than ever, and as Jai prepared his next move, Bani and Veer were already steps ahead, ready to make their counterattack.
