*Vani Pov*

When Kamal suddenly groaned, we all glanced up from our food to see him, frowning at the dishes with a serious thought.

"Is something missing?" I asked the others, but not him.

"Are you kidding? There are so many items and I think I should have to exercise more tomorrow because I don't want to miss eating any one of it." Girish said shaking his head.

I gave him a small smile before glancing at my plate while everyone started to serve themselves and to my luck that girl is sitting beside him.

"This is so delicious." Rakesh said, smiling at me.

"Are you forgetting something, David?" Kamal asked and I frowned at them only to see David is looking everywhere except to my side.

"No!" he replied simply and they continued to have their lunch.

"Do you like living in the city, Vani?" Pallavi suddenly asked when everyone stayed silent.

"Yeah!" I replied, not even looking up to stare at her.

I know what she is trying to tell because I am not really liking to stay in the house with not much work to do, but from yesterday I started doing everything I can and know what should I do everyday.

"Did we increased your work by coming here? We should have sent Pallavi early to help you." Rakesh asked and I frowned at him.

"Yeah! She cooks really well too." David added to which she glared at him.

"It was not hard." I simply replied and stood up finishing my food.

"Did you guys saw any new places?" Girish asked when we all sat down near the living room.

"No!" we both replied at a time.

"And why is that? I think we should leave now so that they can spend time outside the house without any of us meddling." Girish stated before standing up.

"No! Please sit down." I said, smiling at him.

"Ok! As I want to eat some more of that food for dinner." He said shrugging and I shook my head.

"Where is Rupa's number?" I asked, remembering Kamal's words.

"I will give you, but don't tell her that I had that number." He replied before giving me her number.

"Hello?" she said after lifting my call and I walked near to my balcony to not disturb their conversations.

"Rupa! How are you?" I asked and we both drifted into a long conversation regarding general things making my mood better.

"So, he finally gave you my number?" she suddenly asked making me frown.

"Yeah! Kamal forgot about it." I replied, remembering my word to Girish.

"I am asking about Girish, Vani. Tell him that I will send him into prison if he messages as unknown instead of calling me." She threatened and for a few minutes I frowned in confusion.

"You like him?" I asked her in shock when the penny dropped.

"Yes! However, don't tell him that." She replied and I smiled again at her threat.

"Why don't you come here for dinner and give him your threat directly?" I asked but she sighed.

"I just returned to the village but will come visit you some day as I am going to live in that city. I got a job as an accountant for a hospital." She replied.

"That's great news, Rupa. I am so happy for you and really glad that you will be here." I said feeling good.

"Now, I have even a better news." She said and I frowned thinking what would that be.

From the moment she called, she is just giving a good news one after the other literally making my day.

"I talked to an administrator here and found out that there is a vacancy for a receptionist job but not full time. However, I think you should take it because if they like your work then you can get full time instead of part time." She continued to talk but I stilled in my place.

"You mean I can get that job?" I asked her in shock.

"Yes! Tomorrow there are going to be interviewed and I think it would be better if you come here." She replied.

"You want to work right?" she asked when I didn't say anything.

"Of course! I will be there and you just message me the address and time." I replied and she hung up.

"Is everything ok?" Girish asked the moment I walked near to them.

I glanced at him and saw that everyone are looking at me staring away from the television. I nodded before sitting beside him instead of Kamal as David and Pallavi are sitting with him who seems to be having a hatred towards me.

"So, what did she say?" Girish whispered after a few minutes.

"That if you don't stop messaging her then she will send you to prison." I whispered back and he stared at me in shock.

"And that to call her." I added after a few minutes to let him worry.

"You are so evil." He said, pushing me and I chuckled pushing him back.

"What is the joke here?" I heard a voice and turned to my other side to see Kamal sitting beside me with a frown.

"Nothing!" Girish and I said at a time before concentrating on the movie.

The evening passed in fun from the time I started ignoring Pallavi and David. I even ignored Kamal at a point not wanting to feel any hurt which started from yesterday when he explained how they all meet during weekends and Pallavi is one of them.

"Dad said that you picked up the work even after the long leave." Suddenly Pallavi said after we finished the dinner.

"Dad?" I asked no one in particular.

"Yeah! The hospital in which Kamal works is Pallavi Dad's and she works along with him." David replied, surprising me and I would have smiled but I couldn't after knowing this piece of information.

"Excuse me!" I mumbled getting up after finishing the dinner and walked near to the balcony in silence.

Will these shocks never end? Next thing I know they will be getting back together after giving me a divorce.

I should have known that him talking normally is too good to be true from last week. As per the conversation I heard that Pallavi returned to work last week.

God! Is this the reason for him to behave normally? That his girlfriend returned from some holiday.

I tightened my hold on the railings wishing that all these thoughts stop completely. I should try to accept the truth.

"Vani?" I heard a voice and turned after brushing my tears away to see Pallavi standing at the balcony door.

"Yes?" I asked, folding my arms.

"I really need to talk to you and it is important. If I do any delay it will hurt someone special." She replied and I frowned shaking my head.

"I don't want to listen to anything." I said stubbornly.

"But..." before she could say anything she was dragged away surprisingly by David making my eyes go wide.

I sighed and started clearing the table while they are talking in the living room and those both are missing completely.

*Pallavi Pov*

"What the hell are you doing?" I shouted at him when he dragged me outside the flat and near to the corner where potted plants are present.

"What were you doing just now?" he shouted back, pressing me to the wall.

"I need to talk to her and it is important before something wrong happens." I replied trying to release myself from his hold.

"No! It is better if you leave them alone and let them live their life. I know you love him and I know you are hurt but don't do this." He said scowling at me.

"What were you doing, saying all those things to Vani as if Kamal and I are some lovers?" I asked him frowning.

"So that she can keep him away from you and I can't do that myself." He replied shaking his head.

"Why?" I asked him, frowning more.

"Because I love you, but I don't want to deceive him by planning something else to keep him away from you." He replied looking away.

I fumed at him before holding his face and made him turn towards mine. When I started glaring at him, he glared back along with pressing me more to the wall.

"You are a coward." I whispered scowling before crushing his lips with mine and kissed him tugging him to me completely.

"And you should stop talking like that with Vani." I added after releasing him.

"Ok!" he mumbled before kissing me by himself this time.

"We should go inside." I whispered when he started pestering kissing along my throat and then to my neck.

"Good point." He whispered back, but didn't stop until I pushed him away.

"Stupid!" I said, scowling at him and walked away leaving him behind.

"Where were you?" Kamal asked when I walked inside arranging myself.

"I got a call." I replied shrugging.

"I too got a call." David said, joining me while they all frowned at both of us.

"We will leave now." Girish said, glancing at the clock.

"I will drop Pallavi." David offered and I scowled at him again.

"In my car?" I asked him, narrowing my eyes.

"Of course!" he replied and dragged me out.

I shook my head thinking it is better to let Vani deal with Kamal and vice-versa instead of doing anything else. I may damage everything more if I interfere.

It is not like Kamal to not clear the words I told her as they are married for near two months now as per Girish. They both are more than sensible compared to me and they will be fine.

So, as usual i made pallavi from vamp to another side... now, there are no bad characters to my relief...

any way today "fan" released guys and who are going to watch it because i am going :D
