Chapter One

(I got my story back!)

*Third Person POV*

Encre awoke to the sound of a loud knock, ringing through his home, "Hello? Encre? Are you awake?" Encre groaned and got up, still in his pajamas, and answered the door, it was his friend, Simon. "Que faites-vous ici Simon? Je suis à peine éveillé!" ("What are you doing here Simon? I'm barely even awake!") He asked in a thick French accent. Though most of the townsfolk knew French, they spoke english. Encre had decided that he wanted to stick to his french roots. Simon gave Encre a small frown before revealing his news.
"I apologize Encre, but I have come to warn you that the mayor has ordered everyone to stay away from the forest." Simon said with a worried expression. "Pourquoi?" ("Why?") Simon shook his head, "He wouldn't say..." Encre looked down with a sigh, "D'accord" ("Ok") Simon gave his friend a small smile, "Have a nice evening Encre" he then began to walk in the direction of the town hall. Encre waved slightly before closing the door and making his way back to his room, where he laid onto the bed and fell into a silent slumber.

--Time Skip--

When Encre awoke for the second time that day, it was mid-afternoon. He got himself up and dressed himself in his usual outfit, which was a puffy cream yellow colored shirt with a darker vest with golden swirling patterns on it. He also wore a pair of black skin tight jeans with a pair of boots that were a light brown. He studied the room around him, it was small and held a closet, a small bed, a dresser, a vanity, and a large number of paintings made by Encre himself. He smiled at his newest painting, it was a mixture of colors and shapes that created a park scene.
Encre walked out of the room, being sure to close the door behind him, and walked into the living room. It was small and had a rocking chair, an easel, for his paintings, a fireplace, and a small couch with a coffee table in front of it. It may not have been the largest room, but it was still cozy. Encre smiled and walked to his chair, on it was a small gray burlap sack with his spare painting supplies that he took everywhere. He lifted it up and put it on.
He the walked towards the door, after making sure the firewood wasn't burning in the fireplace. Encre opened the door and walked outside. The rays of sunlight danced throughout the town, bringing a smile to Encre's skull. He closed and locked the door behind him, making sure to hide the house key in his bag. He made his way through town, waving at the villagers as he passed. Finally, he reached the town square. He walked over to his favorite bench and began to set up. He brought out his small easel and began to work, painting his surroundings.
After a few hours of painting, a small skeleton noticed Encre and ran over to him, "Encre! Encre!" He shouted with a smile, holding his small yellow cap to make sure it didn't fall, "Lumière! Je n'ai pas vu de vous depuis votre ville gauche de père!" ("Lumière! I haven't seen you since your father left town!") Lumière's grin stayed plastered to his skull, "I'm sorry Mr. Encre, but I've been helping Miss Lofy with her patients." Encre smiled at the small skeleton, Lumière was only a few months old when he had lost his brother, so Encre decided to become like a brother to the ten year old. Encre leaned down one one knee and hugged Lumière, "Eh bein, je suis heureux que vous êtes ok." ("Well, I'm glad that you're ok")

--Time Skip--

After a few hours of talking with Lumière, Encre went home, he had all of his things. It was quite dark by then, and according to legend, vampires came out in the dark. Encre believed in these tales, so he tried to make it home as quick as he could. But before he could turn the corner to his home, everything went dark. Encre lay on the ground, unconscious and bleeding red bone marrow from his skull. A large bat with glistening fangs began to make his way to the unconscious skeleton.
But before it could, a wooden stake found it's way into the shadow's heart. It let out a trouble screech as it feel to the ground, shifting into a female skeleton with blood red eyes. Red bone marrow puddled around the skeleton as her body turned to dust. Then, out of the shadows came a tall monster, who seemed to be a blue and red fish. She had many stakes, ready to attack whomever needed to be attacked. Once she made sure that everything was clear, she ran over and picked up Encre. (Oh snap)
She laid his head on her lap and started to snap her fingers, "Sir! Sir! Are you ok? Can you hear me?"
After she got no response, she picked him up bridal style and carried him to the small town hospital. Once she reached it, she knocked on the door. It was answered by a small yellow lizard with glasses and a black and white dress, "E-Eterna! Wh-what happened?!" Eterna shook her head, "This poor man was attacked by a vampire. But I took care of it. But, he needs medical help." The lizard nodded, "Br-bring him in-in here." She walked out of Eterna's way.
Eterna laid Encre onto the small couch and the lizard woman began to check on him, "W-Well, the go-good news it th-that he's ali-ive." Eterna smiled a bit, "That's great Lofy!" Lofy blushed in return, "I-I didn't do-do much, yo-you're the awesome on E-Eterna!" She gushed to the tall vampire huntress. "Well, I'd better get going Lofy, thanks for the help!" Eterna grinned, heading towards the door. "N-No problem Et-Eterna!" Lofy waved and Eterna left.
