She turns down the light and slips into one of the two beds. Ron and Vanessa exchange glances before returning to watching her.

Ron gestures for his sister to follow him as he slips outside.

EXT. MOTEL - EARLY MORNING

They lurk in the shade of the roof's overhang. Vanessa stares off into the distance contemplatively.

RON
Okay, what the actual fuck?

VANESSA
(defensively)
What?

RON
You're acting like this kid's mom! Why do you care so much?

VANESSA
I don't care about the little brat.

RON
Bullshit. You didn't make her tell us her life story, you believed everything she said...what if we just kidnapped a stupid teenager from a loving home? We can't get arrested, Vanessa - it'll blow the cover of the whole clan!
