Vanessa turns back around to face forward, addressing her brother as she throws her hands up in an "oh, well" gesture.

VANESSA
(matter-of-factly)
We have to kill her.

RON
(shocked)
What - no, we are not killing a child!

Mari watches calmly from the backseat.

VANESSA
What do you suggest we do, then?

She turns back around to face Mari.

VANESSA (cont.)
Why are you even here?

MARI
I want to be a vampire.
