Dear readers,

I have decided to attempt writing yet another story and surprisingly, I'm gonna try something new and it's not going to be based on high school. And it's obviously a supernatural one, my first fantasy-kind of story so it may or may not be a bit... questionable? I'm not really used to this kind of style and don't know what to do or think so feel free to let me know your thoughts on this story!🥰

For this story, I've been inspired by the show 'The Vampire Diaries' and by inspired I don't necessarily mean the plot (though there may be some parallels?) but more like the universe, I really liked the system and most of the things are going to be exactly the same in my story.
There will be vampires, witches, werewolves and vampire hunters, but probably no doppelgängers!

In case you're not familiar and you wanna read, I'll explain a few things after introducing you to the main characters.
So, here they are:

Soo, now on to the 'system':

-To become a vampire, you must have vampire blood in your system (for less than 24 hours) and die, when you wake up again, you need to drink human blood to fulfill the transition, or you'll die.

-Vampires have heightened senses, the ability to move in 'vampire speed' and use 'vampire strength', they cannot pass thresholds without being invited inside and they can't reproduce either.

-Vampire blood can heal injuries and therefore save humans' lives (unless it's too late and they die anyways- then they become vampires).

-Vampires burn in the sun, so they need daylight rings (made by witches) to survive throughout the day.

-Vampires can compel humans, the only way to not get compelled is to drink vervain (an herb) or wear it as a bracelet, necklace, etc. They can also invade your mind and make you dream of whatever they want you to by touching you while you're asleep.

-Vervain is very toxic to vampires, they can be tortured with it, it burns their skin badly and inflicts pain.

-Vampires can turn their humanity off, that means they can't feel human emotion and they basically don't care about anything, it's extremely difficult for them to get their humanity back since it needs to be triggered through feeling human emotion again.

-The only way to kill a vampire is to drive a stake or a dagger through their heart, rip their head off or rip their heart out. Also, werewolf bites or fire.

-To become a werewolf, you need werewolf genes and you also need to kill someone to activate the curse.

-As a werewolf, you turn into a wolf every full moon, it's a very painful transition and they just go wild, they have to chain themselves up and get weakened so they don't hurt anyone, including their loved ones.

-Witches are very powerful- they can cause pain to supernatural beings and they can perform all kinds of spells for whatever kinda stuff, I feel like their power is highly underestimated (though if a witch gets turned into a vampire, she can't perform magic anymore).

-

Just like I said before, this story may appear as a bit confusing or far-fetched at first glance but it's pretty much on purpose and I promise it'll get better eventually💜 (it's gonna be a looong story btw)
