37: M.Y.G
At point seven o'clock on Friday, a raven-haired boy stormed into Hyundai Department Store's jewellery store while panting heavily.
"I have the necklace. Take it and leave us alone, please," he spoke out into the empty room, rummaging inside his pockets and gripping the blood-red necklace inside his hand tightly.
For a moment, there was not a single sound or movement which made him fear that he already was too late when all of a sudden, just like it did in the alleyway, a creature appeared right in front of him without making a single sound or giving him any sort of warning.
"Will you stop doing that?!," Jungkook exclaimed in frustration, almost tumbling in shock.
"Nope. You're funny when you're scared." The human gritted his teeth and glared at him.
"Just fucking take it before I change my mind." Suddenly, he regretted ever opening his mouth when Yoongi glowered at him, clearly enraged. "You don't make the rules here, you foolish little human. Now give me the damn thing before I rip your toenails out one by one," he threatened with a low voice.
Without thinking twice, Jungkook fished the breathtaking piece of jewellery out of his pocket and let it slip into the Original's palm carefully. And suddenly, the latter was perfectly calm again. "Great, thanks. Guess you aren't as incompetent as you look." The ravenette scoffed.
"You know, I feel really fucking bad about it. He called me to his house to discuss something serious and as soon as he left the room, I was forced to take this stupid necklace. He's gonna think I'm playing with him! I basically took advantage of his feelings and his short moment of vulnerability for--" Yoongi groaned.
"You kids have problems, I swear to god. I'm not your fucking therapist and I can't bother listening to your millions of thoughts but just talk to him. If he likes you that much, he'll understand and he'll forgive you if you just find the balls to tell him what you did. Either way, there's one last thing I need from you..." Jungkook did not like the look on the vampire's face right now.
He took a step back hesitantly. "What? There isn't a second necklace, is there?" Yoongi shook his head, much to his relief.
"Nah. But you see, things are a little complicated. To get my sister's soul back into her body, I need to perform a ritual. Well, the witch that I convinced to cooperate with me has to perform a ritual. And for that, I need some stuff. Ten drops of human blood to start off."
"Wait wha--" Before Jungkook could even attempt speaking any further, he suddenly felt a sharp blade pierce the palm of his hand, an excruciating pain making him groan loudly.
"What the fuck are you doing? It hurts!," he shouted, watching warm blood ooze from the deep cut in his palm with eyes widened in horror.
Yoongi did not speak, but began collecting his drops of blood in a little glass jar, squeezing the last two drops into it by force which made Jungkook's eyes tear up due to the pain.
"You-- bastard," he grunted when the Original finally was done forcing the blood out of him.
There was only little emotion on his face. "Look, I'm sorry I didn't ask for your permission or warn you. But I waited for this for centuries, and I'm hella impatient. I'll leave you and your precious Taehyungie alone and go far, far away. There's a lot my sister hasn't seen yet so I'm planning on going to some places with her. New York, Tokyo, London. Venice, maybe." Suddenly, he pulled a card out of his back pocket.
"Well, if there's anything you ever need, give me a call. I can't assure you I'm always available, but having contact to an Original vampire can have its perks. See this as a way of me saying thank you and maybe repaying you. Unlike your amazing boyfriend, I like to make it up to people after taking advantage of them. Goodbye." With a bitter smile, the raven-haired man squeezed the card into Jungkook's hand and was gone within the fraction of a second.
For a few moments, Jungkook just stood there with his mouth wide open and the card still placed inside his injured hand. It took him a while to realize what had just happened but when he did, he couldn't help but scoff and clench his jaw in anger.
Twisting the card in his palm, he felt nothing but hatred pulsating through his veins and was just about to rip it in two, throw it away and stomp on it, when he saw something written on the backside. Squinting his eyes, he tried to read the writing:
'You're probably considering ripping this card in two, throwing it away and stomping on it. Don't, you'll regret it. Be smart for once. We'll probably meet again. Until then...
-M.Y.G.'
Scoffing again, Jungkook stuffed the card into his own back pocket and now also felt angry at himself for actually taking Min Yoongi's advice additionally to the anger he already felt because of the Original.
"What a conceited bastard. He calls himself M.Y.G. like he's something special. I hate people like him."
With the recent events replaying inside his head and his hands buried inside the pockets of his trousers, he started walking home, still feeling angry.

"I told you it'd work!"
Jimin grinned triumphantly, leaning back in satisfaction and watching his friends' jaws drop.
"I thought you were kidding when you said we'd go camping and pony riding...," Jungkook mumbled, staring down at his lunch plate as if it were trying to attack him.
"You got a camper? How did you manage the budget? Are we provided with high-quality tents that won't let mosquitos in while we're asleep?," Namjoon asked sceptically, as always prioritizing safety and quality over anything else.
"Calm down, Joonie! Let me explain. My grandparents live in Busan, close to the mountains and the sea and stuff. When they were young, they used it a lot so it's a bit old. But that's fine, it's perfectly capable! We can even spend the night in it. The only problem is that there's only two beds. Well, one bed and a couch. So two of us will have to spend the night in a tent, a high-quality tent, but I took care of that too." When Namjoon asked him for even more details, the blonde groaned.
"Well, there's a really nice camping spot somewhere in Gapyeong, we'll get there in two to three hours. To answer your question, yes, we can ride ponies. In the evening, we're gonna do a little campfire and either roast marshmallows or drink some soju. Or both, I haven't decided yet. But we're gonna meet up this Saturday at ten AM, the weather's gonna be sunny and the temperature warm enough. I hope you're excited, guys!" The noodlehead smiled brightly and waited for them to say something.
Taehyung thought he would've been annoyed at this new set of plans, he really did. He thought he'd have internally rolled his eyes and felt the desire to punch something or someone- like he usually would have. But he didn't.
Not once in the hundreds of years that he'd been alive had he ever gone on a camping trip. He thought he would be absolutely disgusted by this idea and the thought of camping with the three of them.
But somehow, imagining him, Namjoon, Jimin and Jungkook driving through the green landscape and feeling the wind play with his hair made his heart beat faster. He even almost laughed out loud at the thought of Jimin being caught off guard by his amazing horse riding skills. Was he actually starting to like the idea of spending time with them?
He gazed at Jungkook, who was quietly sitting next to him with his chin propped up his hand. To be honest, the boy looked as if he was going through an existencial crisis. He usually wasn't one to talk much except a few sarcastic comments here and there, but something about him was different today. He looked troubled. Taehyung hated worrying about people other than himself but there was something about the human's silence that made him think.
Of course, Jungkook was thinking about past Friday and his little meet-up with Min Yoongi, and his thoughts were entirely occupied by the revival of the Original's sister, if Yoongi would come back to hurt any of them, if he actually was gone at all and his guilt towards Taehyung. Seeing him in person made him feel even worse and he wondered if he should tell just him about the deal. But how and when?
However, the thought of a camping trip with his closest friends and potential love interest lifted his spirits a little. It had been quite a while since they all spent time together and being out in the nature always put him at ease.
He leaned back into his chair and tapped his foot on the floor, thinking about Gapyeong's beautiful mountains, lakes and fresh air and imagining Taehyung's reaction to the spectacular scenery when all of a sudden, Jimin gasped loudly.
"Jungkook, your hand! What happened?! Who did that to you?"
Jungkook flinched and pulled back his hand quickly before Jimin's smaller one could grasp it to examine it and the cut from the Original's knife. He internally groaned.
Great fucking job, Jungkook. Imagine being this dumb.
"It's nothing," he defended and quickly tried to come up with a story. "I accidentally cut myself while cutting vegetables, that's all." None of the others looked very impressed. They had good reason for that, the cut was extremely deep and looked quite brutal, to be honest. But Jungkook being Jungkook never thought of covering up with a bandaid. Why would he, it didn't hurt anymore.
"It looks like you were stabbed, though. How can this happen while cutting vegetables?," Namjoon questioned.
"You can't even cook!," Jimin added.
The ravenette glared at him. "Yes, I can. I'm just too lazy to do it! You guys know how much strength I have. Especially when I'm angry. The stupid cucumber was too damn hard, I got pissed, I didn't see my hand there, slipped and just completely-- you get my point. What were you guys thinking anyways, who would do this to me?"
Finally, Namjoon and Jimin looked at least remotely calm. "Well, anything could happen. Why were you cutting cucumbers, though?," Namjoon asked.
Jungkook rolled his eyes. "Hoseok and me were gonna have some kimchi stew and he can't eat much spicy stuff. Cucumber helps with the spice, you know?"
The brunette nodded in understanding and finally, all of them looked like they were actually convinced by his story.
Except for Taehyung. By taking a closer look, he came to realize that the ravenette's right hand was injured, but he was right-handed... If he'd accidentally stabbed himself while cutting vegetables, his left hand would've been the injured one. Something was off.
As much as he hated it, he felt worry overtake him again. What could have happened to him and why would he lie about it? Did it have to do something with his parents?
Jungkook seemed to sense that he was worried because he did not do a very good job at hiding it by constantly frowning and not moving. While the other two were distracted having a deep and meaningful conversation, he swiftly reached for Taehyung's hand under the table which the latter accepted with a surprised glance.
"Stop worrying. It's fine, it doesn't hurt," he mouthed, checking if Jimin and Namjoon were still busy conversing and secretly squeezing his hand as they clearly were. The vampire nodded a little and even managed to smile, keeping their hands intertwined and deciding to forget about the other's strange injury.
With his free and uninjured hand, Jungkook grabbed for his bottle of banana milk and took a sip, his other hand still holding the redhead's, once again feeling extremely guilty and wondering when he would finally get the courage to tell Taehyung what actually happened.
