Thirty-Three

It was beautiful. The tranquility threatened to swallow me whole, I certainly had no objection to that. Gerard seemed to be a little pissed, but he brightened up as soon as we stepped inside. The place most definitely brought back a lot of memories for him, good ones.
He opened the curtains, allowing the sunlight to stream in.
"You can't walk around inside with shades on, you look silly." I joked, covering my mouth to suppress a laugh. He turned around, hands on his hips, I could just about make out the little scowl that he was pulling from behind them.
"Fine, fine. Don't blame me when your eyes fuck up." I pouted, holding my hands up in surrender.
"I hate it when the light shines right into my eyes. Know what I mean?" He said, sitting opposite to me. I was going to correct him, telling him that no matter what he did, light would always shine right into his eyes. It's how eyes function, and you can't stop that.
"Don't correct me. You're being nasty." He chuckled, lying down. He rested his arms behind his head, staring up at the ceiling.
"Merely stating the obvious babe." I said sarcastically, waiting for a dramatic reaction.
"It's okay honey."

"So what do you want to do tonight?" He asked, he'd just made me dinner. He of course had dined from one of those green bottles. His eyes screamed mischief, yet his expression whispered sensible. I looked around, out of the window, at the lake.
"Can we go to the lake?" I asked, adjusting my knife so that it was in the centre of the plate. Only the subtle things were the things that I had to be a perfectionist about.
"It's cold, polluted, but still fun. So I say yes. And there'll be nobody around, who knows what will happen." He winked at me, smiling evilly. I told him to shut up with a laugh, walking over to the sink to dump my plate into it. I had an idea of what he wanted, I wanted it too, but I was too awkward, too much of a pussy to do it. He must've heard what I was thinking, assuming that vampires could hear what you thought, because he sniggered, wrapping his arms around me. He rocked me from side to side, he kissed the nape of my neck. Goosebumps grew all over my body, resting his chin on my shoulder.
"Don't be so hard on yourself, I don't like it when you do that. You're beautiful, there's no need to be afraid of anything. Which is why you've got to prepare yourself for when I throw you into the lake, because you're not allowed to drown." He added the last part quickly, I didn't really have time to process it before he picked me up and span me around. I batted him away, going to get my coat.
The water would be cold, a coat was definitely a good idea.
He held my hand, leading me down the dirt path into the forest. It felt like I was in one of those stupid movies, where a vampire leads their beloved into the woods. Either to have a good time, or to drink them dry. I definitely preferred the first option, although I wasn't ready for that yet. The pleasant burn of his skin against mine made me happy, and the light noise from the water signalled that we had arrived. Gerard didn't waste time in taking his clothes off, bar his underwear, throwing them in most directions. He had a great body, a lot better than mine
"Come on." He commanded, moving his now soaking hair out of his face. The pale light from a cabin nearby, and the lamppost made his eyes glow unnaturally. After all, he was one hundred percent unnatural.
I grudgingly pulled my t-shirt off, the last thing that was covering me. I covered my chest, slowly wading into the lake. The icy waters numbed my limbs the deeper I waded, not in the nice way like Gerard did. I could only see his eyes above the water.
"Stop looking at me like that, you look like Jaws or something stupid like that." I scolded playfully, splashing water over him. He rolled his eyes, splashing me back.
"If you want, we could re-enact that scene from Dirty Dancing, you know, the one where Johnny picks up Baby?" He grabbed hold of me again, pulling me against his chest. His touch was warmer than the water, it made the goosebumps leave my skin.
"Oh shush." I pushed him, swimming away from him.
"Nobody puts Frankie in the corner." He cupped his hands in front of his mouth, shouting at me from a few feet away. I held my finger to my mouth to shush him, he started to swim after me. Him being a fast swimmer, and me being too short to reach the floor, he caught me in no time, holding me so that I couldn't swim away.
"You're my Frankie." He whispered in my ear, it was quiet but it was heartfelt. He started to kiss my neck, him and the water not failing to send shivers across my body.
"I love it when you squirm." He sniggered, he had hold of me tighter. One hand around my waist, the other across my shoulders, holding me so that I couldn't move.
