"Vampires, blood sucking, monstrous beings right? Or so you're told." Mrs Baker, a teacher at Thornworth academy for the gifted, said.

"That's what they are!" Yugyeom shouted out as a few students agreed. "Oh really Mr Kim. So please tell me, what was it like meeting a vampire?" She said walking down the steps of the lecture hall. "I haven't met one." He muttered.

"Well, Mr Kim, keep your mouth shut. As I was saying, vampires didn't chose this way of life. I know of some that would of rather died then of become what they are." She noticed a hand shoot up near the back of class.

"Yes, Mr Jeon?"
"How do you become a vampire?
"Well, Jungkook unlike you to have asked an actual question." She laughed. "If a vampire bites you, you will not turn. But if you drink vampires blood and die in the following 24 hours, you'll become a vampire." She said as the boy nodded along.

It was very unlike him to ask a question. He never did stuff like that. He was too 'cool' for that. But something about vampires intrigued him, they always have.

"Yo dude, you asked a question?" Taehyung whispered tapping his shoulder. "Yeah so?"
"Unlike you." He whispered.

Taehyung was older then the boy. He shouldn't even be in this class, but he got held back by two years. Don't ask why.

The bell rang and everyone stood to leave.

"Ah ah ah, assignments." Everyone groaned. "On your own I want each of you to write an essay about a species of your choice. Not your own, that's too easy. This also counts for half of your end of year grade. And I would rather not teach you three years in a row Taehyung." She glanced over at the boy. "Dismissed." She said an Everyone practically lept out of their chairs.

Jungkook stayed sat though. "Kook, you coming?" Taehyung asked as he looked at the boy. "I need to talk to miss." He said staying sat. "Suit yourself." Taehyung skipped down the steps and to the door.

"Mr Jeon, school is over." Mrs Baker said to the boy. Jungkook stood up and walked over to her desk. "I was wondering, about vampires, I'd like to know more about them." He said awkwardly.
"Taking an interest in class Mr Jeon, unlike you. Actually there are some really good books about them in the school library." She said packing away her stuff.

"Thanks." He said scurrying off making his way to the library.

The writing was highly neat. Ancient symbols covered the page. It seemed to of been from the time of which Vampires still roamed. He flicked through the pages, but one caught his eye.

Supernatural Powers

Immortal - The power to never age and recover from almost any injury.

Unnatural Strength - The power to exert great strength.

Unnatural Senses - Vampires have uncanny senses. They better sight, smell, hearing, taste, and sense of touch.

Unnatural Speed - Vampires can move at faster than the human eye.

Unnatural Healing - To heal rapidly from any physical injury.

Shapeshifting - Shapeshifting for a vampire can range from taking on the appearance of other people to changing into a bat.

Animal Control - Some vampires have exercised the ability to control animals; bats, wolves, rats, etc.

Telepathy - Vampires can sometimes read/sense another person's thoughts, communicate with them mentally and/or influence their minds/thoughts.

Telekinesis - Manipulate objects/matter with the mind.

Vision - Most vampires have night or heat vision but there have been instances of blood flow vision, the ability to see the flow of blood of any living being.

Jungkook was shocked. He was always taught by his father that vampires are the weakest creature. That all they do is rely on the blood of humans. Reading this however showed that a vampire could overpower a werewolf, if needed.

People say new born vampires are the strongest. However, the older the vampire the stronger it gets. The mind will evolve and within time they'll know everything and will be able to overpower new borns.

Jungkook was so invested into the book he didn't notice his friend, Namjoon, beside him.

"JUNGKOOK!" Namjoon was shushed by a library worker. "Oh Hyung." Jungkook said now facing his friend. "I've been here for like five minutes, what are you reading?" He asked taking the book from him.

"Vampires?" Namjoon questioned.
"It's for a project." Jungkook said nervously. "I have some books on them at home you can borrow." Namjoon smiles patting the boy on the back.
