5 months later

Lanie's Pov

It had been a while since dad came back. I thought it was going to be hard to get used to him being home since he wasn't here for a year but it felt like he was never gone.

Everything went back to normal. We were all happy and it felt so good to feel this way again.

Dad was remodeling some parts of the house so everything had to be moved around. He grabbed a box and gently placed it on the couch. Not the floor but the couch making me curious what was inside.

I peeked in it and saw a lot of paperwork and a photobook.

"This probably has pictures of dad's parents." I thought but there wasn't a single one inside.

"Dad why do you have this?" I asked putting the photobook in the air.

Dad grabbed it from my hand and sat in the couch.

"What is that?" Minji asked. "Can I see?"

"Can I see too?" J asked.

Dad nodded and j ran to sit on dad's lap while me and Minji sat on his sides.

"This was taken when your mom and I started dating."

"Who asked who out?" -Minji

"Actually i never asked your mom out I just claimed her as mine."

"Wow so romantic." I said

"Your mom said the same thing." Dad says chuckling.

"This was taken in our first date. She looks young. I think she was 17 around this time."

"Her hair color makes her look so young." I say

"Yeah," dad says. "Your moms hair color would change like every 2 days."

"This picture was taken in prom night when your mother went blonde for the first time. That's probably my favorite hair color on her." -dad

"You have black hair." J said pointing at dad's picture.

"That was my natural hair color before I let your mom dye it blonde."

"Seokjin took this after Lana moved in. My room was so plain as you can see so she started decorating it with girly things."

"This was a day after her 18th birthday I think. She was trying to take a picture of her oufit for Snapchat but I had to photobomb it to let her followers know she has a boyfriend." -dad

"Of course you would. You're toxic." Minji says.

Dad faced her with furrowed eyebrows. "I'm not toxic."

"Whatever you say."

"Namjoon took this for no reason. I was pissed off at Lana because someone had tried to get at her and she didn't even tell me." -dad

"Wow you really are toxic dad." I whispered loud enough for him to hear

"I am not!"

"I remember this," he laughs. "I bought her so much clothes that day the employees had to get her a big bag. Your mom was such a spoiled brat."

"Wow mom was really the happiest with you." Minji said smiling. "She looks so cute and adorable."

"Dad You sound like her sugar daddy." I laughed

"I am." Dad laughed along.

"One of my favorite pictures," he smiles. "This was a photoshoot we took for our wedding. Everytime I see this photo I want to cry." -dad

"Awe don't cry." J said looking up at dad wiping his cheek.

Dad shook his head chuckling and gave J a kiss on his forehead.

"It's mostly filled with mom. Are you obsessed with her?" -Minji

"Of course she's my wife." -dad

"This is her before she started getting sick. Well before we found out her "sickness" were actually pregnancy symptoms. We were in our honey moon here. We had gone out to some bar for food." -dad

"You guys created me in your honeymoon?" I say shocked.

"yeah you ruined our honeymoon cause we had to go back home early." -dad

"Well I'm sorry." I say with attitude.

"You also killed mom when she birthed you." Minji says.

"Shut up you did too!"

"Yeah for like a few minutes." Minji replied with a sassy tone.

"Okay but what matters is that she's alive now." I say.

"Yeah as a vampire." -Minji

"Half." Dad corrected her. "Don't forget your mom is an experiment."

"Dad keep going!" J yells

"Awe look that's me." I squealed.

"That's baby lanie?" J asked.

Dad nodded. "Yeah I took this when we were on our way to get mochi ice cream that your mom was craving for almost a week."

"Look J that's baby minji!" Minji yells.

"Remember this day?" Dad asks. "Our vacation day."

"Yeah when mom got so mad at you because you took off with Minji to god knows where." I said

"Well oops."

"Awe J look this is you." Dad says pointing at the picture. "Your mom took this a week after you were born."

"This is you again. We went to a little lake with your mom to feed some ducks. Hopefully we can go back soon."

"You look so young with glasses" -Minji

"I am young Minji what are you trying to say." -dad

"That you're ol- dad keep going." I say interrupting her. I just saved her from a huge argument.

"You guys already know this," dad says. "Obviously this was last month when we went to Mexico to visit your mom's aunts."

"Oh my god I love this picture!" Minji yells. "I didn't even know you took one!"

"Awe they're so tiny and then there's mom looking so tall. By the way where is she right now?"

"She's probably putting the twins to sleep." Dad says and looks down at J. "You should go to sleep with your siblings too it's past your bedtime."

"I'm not tired!" -J

"Well at least go help your mom with your little brother and sister."

"Fine." J says pouting and he gets off dad's lap and runs off.

"Does mom know you have this book?" -lanie

"I'm guessing yeah." -dad

"Why do you even have one of these? It's rare coming from you." -Minji

"My dad used to have one of me, my mom and my brother. Except jihyun was only in it when he was a baby because once he grew he wasn't really with us anymore. He became a drug addict and he was never home. His whole life he's been a drug addict so I wouldn't be surprised if he was dead by now."

"Don't you care about him?" -Minji

"We don't give a shit about each other. You wouldn't understand. I didn't want both of you girls to be like me and him. I was really hoping my kids would bond together when they got older and so far you guys are doing amazing so that means me and your mom did a pretty good job raising you guys."

"Dad can I ask you something."

He nods and looks over at me.

"Did you ever lose feelings for mom at some point?"

He sighs and looks down at a picture of her. "I couldn't." He says . "There was a time I thought about letting her go to keep her away from danger but I just couldn't imagine myself without her. I loved her way too much. I think she cursed me or did some witchcraft to make me feel this way towards her."

"Jimin." Mom says

We all looked up at her and dad immediately smiled.

"I need some help putting the babies to sleep." She says motioning the twins that were on each of her hips.

"Well girls this is my cue to leave." He says walking towards mom. He picks up a baby and turns to look at us. "Don't go to bed late I better not hear both of you arguing or I'm kicking your ass."

Me and Minji rolled our eyes and nodded. "Okay sir."

He turned back around and started going upstairs with mom.

"My dad is coming tomorrow." I hear mom say.

"You think your aunt told him about the twins?" -dad

"I don't think so." -mom

Their voice got distant but I was still able to hear what they said.

"Next time he comes we're probably going to have like 11 kids." -mom

"Not bad we can create our own soccer team."- Dad

Me and Minji looked at each other and laughed.

"Well I'm going to sleep." Minji said getting off the couch.

"Me too," I replied with a yawn. "Goodnight child of the corn."

"Goodnight megamind."

"Goodnight yeontan."

"Shut up and go to sleep." Yoongi yelled.

"Oops."

I kinda miss writting this book.🥺 I've been thinking about a part 2 but I don't know yet.
