Ethan's POV.

I walk into school with Benny beside me.

"Think about it dude! Anything we want. Cash, Cars, Candy." Benny says, trying to convince me.

"So you only use magic spells for stuff that starts with 'c'?" I ask him which makes him sigh.

"Once we were lowly high school noobs. Now we're vampire killing, spell-casting rock stars! The world is our oyster." He explains.

"Have you ever actually had oysters? Not something you want to swallow- more like something you'd cough up." I exclaim.

"Yeah, nice. Nice image to start the day. There's the image I need!" He says as he sees Della. "I know you're the 'see-we' and all, but I can see her with me."

"Keep the magic on the down low- remember? Life just got back to normal." I shrug.

"Would you relax? I got this." He poofs some flowers behind him and walks off. While he talks to her I see a familiar red head walking my way, along with a girl with green hair.

"Charly?" I whisper-shout an she jerks her head up. I see her eyes behind her sunglasses but they look grey in a way.

"Ethan!" She says running and hugging me.

"Way to 'not make a scene', Charly. Hi I'm JJ, Charly's bestie." The green haired one says.

"Why are you wearing sunglasses? And your eyes are red..." I say.

"Doctor prefers me to have them on..." Charly mutters. "And she loves wearing contacts?"

"Can I talk to you?" Sarah asks after walking up to me.

"Hey, how goes it? What's new?" I ask nervously.

"Can I borrow $20, friend?" She asks, looking warily at Charly and JJ. "It for a good cause."

"$20? Like now?" I ask confused. "Um..." I hear crying behind me and see Della crying with her friends trying to comfort her. And Benny shrugs to me, confuse on what to do.

"You said you needed $20? Here. You don't have to pay me back, just consider it... As a gift?" Charly says, handing Sarah the 20 and looking at JJ for an excuse, who simply shrugs.

"Awesome news- Della's dog died!" Benny says excitedly when he comes back to us. I look at Sarah.

"And that's good news?" She asks. He chuckles.

"Yeah." He says and nods.

"Nice. Gotta go." Sarah says before looking to Charly. "Thanks for the 20, I'm Sarah. Have fun with the nerds."

"No prob, I'm Charly and this is JJ, and we'll see if we stick here long enough." Charly smiles at her and Benny notices they were there.

"Hello Babe one and Babe two." He says, leaning on a locker.

"Nice try Benny-boo, already taken." Charly giggles a bit. "We better get to class."

"See ya Char." I say, waving as they leave.

"Wasn't that your cousin?" Benny asks and I nod. "She's totally hot now."

"Yeah, but she said she was taken, so she's off limits to you, and I doubt JJ is interested in you." I taunt a bit.

"Dang. Anyways, she said she loved my flowers. And then she said she'd do anything to bring her dog back." He says, then he gets dramatic. "Anything!"

"Yeah." I say, looking over at Della.

"What if somebody magically brought her dog back? Can you imagine how grateful she'd be?" Benny continues. I nod for a sec before I realise what he means.

"No! No Benny- you cannot bring her dog back to life!" I whisper, already feeling how this will end.

"Won't know till we try right?" He asks.

"Benny! Stop!" I try to grab him before he leaves. "If Harry Potter were here, he'd smack you around!" I then head to class.

Timeskip!

I was in my room when I heard yelling downstairs.

"No! Stop! He can't come here! I left him there for his own safety!" Charly's voice yells.

"But c'mon! What if he comes later on and finds out?! He should come now!" JJ whines a bit.

"I said no!" She yells in a scary voice.

"You don't have to go all demony like that..." JJ says, probably pouty. I return my focus on what Benny's showing me, a video.

"Hey Gramdma... I was just wondering if there's any magic that can bring, say, a small animal back from the dead?" Benny asks. His grandma pauses her show.

"Why are you asking me that?" She asks.

"Uh, it's for a report at school." Benny says.

"Uh-huh." She says doubtfully.

"See? Those crazy wrinkles are hiding something- I know it." Benny says after pausing the video.

"Maybe you should just conjure up a bracelet for this girl? I mean reanimate nag a dead dog is overkill." I say, he gives me a weird look.

"No- it's underkill. 'Cause the dog would he un-killed." Benny says. "Duh."

"And it's a stupid idea. Jeez Benny-boo, bringin' a dead dog to life could make it a playground for demons." I hear someone say from my bed, I look to see Charly there with JJ behind her, braiding her hair. "But if you do, I guess we can help clean up, or leave ya for dead. Whichever seems more... Fun."

"How did you get in here without me noticing?!" Benny freaks.

"Girls have their secrets." JJ smirks at him and holds a hand out to Charly who's places a hair-tie in it.

"You don't even know how to do it." I say, focusing back on the conversation before.

"No, but I do know where I find the answers: Grandma's secret shelf." Benny defends.

"Wanna go find Sarah?" JJ offers to Charly.

"Oh! If you find her, tell her I said hey?" I ask. Which earns some looks from them.

"Sure E-man. I'll deliver the message saying 'I love you' for you." Charly laughs and walks out with JJ. I freak a bit before she pokes her head back in. "Kidding~"

"Phew. Anyways, secret shelf?" I ask in a whisper. "My bad feeling just got 10% more bad."

Someone knocks at the door and mom opens it. "Hey guys. Ethan, dinner's almost ready."

"What that... Aroma?" I ask, looking at what she had in her arms.

"Did Jane melt one of her dolls again?" Benny laughs.

"Actually, Ethan's dad is having a very very important client over for dinner this Friday." Mom says, Benny looks at me worriedly. "So I'm testing some recipes from TV's Greatest Chefs; And this is kelp and kimshi ratatouille. You want I try a sample?"

"Mhm. Yum. Uh..." Benny gets up and turns to me. "I have to go."

"Honey? Come on." Mom says, getting me a bite to try. I smile nervously. I take a bite and wince a bit.

"Mmm." I nod, and pretend to like it.

"Do me a favour and tell Sarah I won need her Friday night." Mom says. "Because we're going to he having our gourmet dinner."

"Okay, cool." I say. "I'm sure she'll be thrilled to have a Friday night off."

I then call Sarah and tell her.

Charly's POV.

I walk with JJ and Sarah as Sarah is on the phone with Ethan.

"What?! So now I can't even get babysitting money?" She asks furiatted. "Great." I notice a blond girl with sunglasses come up, I instantly smell vampire. "Forget it, I still have some other options." She sighs and stops, and JJ and I follow. "See ya."

"So, how is your little pet nerd?" The blonde chick asks Sarah. Luckily I already informed Sarah that we knew she was a vampire, and promise not to tell anyone.

"Oh you know- nerdy." Sarah says as she turns to loo at the girl."look, the reason I wanted to talk to is that- "

"Ah! You changed your mind about flying down to the city this weekend?" The girl says excitedly cutting off Sarah. "I knew it! We are gonna tear it up!"

"Erica, you know fledglings can't fly. Not for free." Sarah says. I look at Erica, then Sarah. "Which is why I need to ask you... Can I... Borrow some money? I'll pay you back."

"Money? If you would just wake up and smell the platelist, then you can take whatever you want and whoever you want." Erica says dramatically, ignoring me and JJ.

"I understand. But I just thought-" Erica cuts Sarah off, getting her fangs out.

"But-but. In fangs we trust. All others pay cash!" She pauses and looks up to see some jocks messing around a bit away. "Ah! My food's here. Call me when you're... Ready."

"That's Erica? Huh..." I mutter. "Anyways. Why haven't you become a full vamp?"

"I don't want to drink human blood." Sarah whispers.

"It doesn't always have to be human. Just not... Animal." JJ says, then smiles.

"What are you two anyways?" Sarah asks.

"I'm a witch- but not as... Bad as Benny?" She says trying not to sound harsh. "I'm a level 5 witch. So in ranked between Benny and his Grams."

"And I'm kinda... Rare. So rare I can't tell you yet... Sorry, anyways I better get to the park. I promised someone I'd meet them there." I say, walking a way.

"Imma stick with Sarah, see ya! Don't let anyone bite ya!" JJ teases. I run off and climb the large tree there and simply watch the sunset, I might've lied about meeting someone here...
