Next day.

JJ's POV.

Me and Charly kinda became close with her cousins and his friends. She kinda developed a small crush on their weird blonde friend, Rory or something. He tried flirting with us and I cast a gravity spell on him so it was difficult for him to walk. It wore off after an hour, I didn't want Char-Char mad at me.

"You two should totally try out for cheerleading." Benny says, leaning on the lockers near us. I look at Char-Char who is in deep thought about something.

"He's coming!" She yelps. "He's coming to visit! What do I do?!"

"Who's coming sweetstuff?" Benny asks.

"Tony! Tony's coming to White Chapel! And not for a good reason!" Charly runs off.

"Who's Tony?" Benny asks me.

"Her boyfriend. She left him back in our old town for... His own protection." I say hesitantly.

"JJ!" I hear someone yell and then I'm pushed against some lockers. "I smell her on you! Where is she?!" He growls and snarls.

"Hey! Leave her alone!" Benny yells and then yelps when Tony glares at him. Tony looks back at me.

"She ran off. She knew you were near. You shouldn't be here!" I hiss. I freeze him and escape, grabbing Benny's hand. "C'mon! Run!"

"JJ? What's wrong?" Ethan asks and I grab his hand and run.

"Char's boyfriend is here. We need to run." I say, running off and then I hear someone slam against lockers.

"JJ!!!" He screams and chases us. I then feel arms wrap around under my arms and I grip the boys' hands harder. I feel a gust of wind and when I open my eyes I see we are high up in the air.

"He can't get us from up here. Just stay inside okay? I'll deal with him." Charly says as she sets us in Ethan's yard. "Tony can't come in unless invited. He shouldn't come by unless he knows I'm here-"

"Charly!" I hear from the front yard.

"Get inside!" She hisses.

Charly's POV.

"Get inside!" I hiss and they do as I say. I fly into the front yard and land on the roof and look down on him. "What do you want?"

"Char! Please, I just want to know why!" He pleads, almost with puppy eyes.

"I left because I needed to keep you safe." I sigh.

"Not that! Lisa already told me that." He says boredly, my blood boils at Lisa's name. "Why did you break up with me over the phone?"

"I couldn't just fly over and tell you! Your lucky I didn't do it with a text, don't act like I didn't hear what you were doing." I hiss to him, furrowing my wings into my back again. "Anyways, leave. You could've killed JJ or my friends."

"You know I would never hurt her!" He yells at me from the ground.

"And what about me? You wouldn't hurt me?" I ask annoyed.

"Never." He confirms, I unfurl my left wing and show the missing feathers and scar in it. I also lift my shirt to see the scar on my stomach.

"Then what's this?" I hiss. He looks away from me.

"You know your bloods... Irresistible..." He mutters.

"So what? You only want me so you have my blood?" I hiss, my blood boiling.

"Baby, you know it's not like that." He pleads.

"Leave." I growl, he looks up at me and sees in serious. He leaves in disappointment and I go inside and collapse at the door.

"Char! You okay?" Ethan asks, running to me and kneeling by me. I unfurl both my wings and wrap them around myself. "What happened?!"

"That's an old wound." JJ says calmly.

"We better go. Still have school Y'know? Is he gone?" Benny asks and I nod.

"Let's... Go." I whisper and I grab them when we get outside. I fly them back to school. We get inside as it's a free period.

"Charly! JJ! I signed us up for Cheerleading!" Sarah yells, trying to push us into the bathroom.

"No thanks. We gotta other things to... Take care of." JJ says, grabbing my hand and walking to the cafeteria for the free period.

"Hi Rory." I say waving at a smiling Rory who was dressed up as the mascot.

"Hello beautiful girls. What can I do for you lovely ladies?" He bows a bit and we hear a growl behind us.

"Leave. Her. Alone. She's taken." Tony growls, pushing Rory up against the wall.

"Tony! Let him go! I'm not taken anymore!" I hiss and throw him off Rory. He glared at Rory before leaving. "I was hoping he went home..."

"Who the heck was that?" Rory asks dumbfounded.

"My ex, who obviously can't get the hint that I broke up with him." I growl a bit, JJ lays a hand on my shoulder and I calm down.

"Oh, anyways. I met this wonderful girl today! Her names Betty... She is so gorgelicious..." Rory sighs dreamily and I seem to shrink down a bit. The bell rings and Benny and Ethan come in and join our conversation.

"What's up! My main men!" Rory greets the two boys.

"Rory. Your the mascot?" Ethan asks surprised.

"Of course! Best way to hand with all the hot cheerleading chicks." Rory says in a cute kinda way, then I ignore that thought due to what he said. "And there's this one blond hottie McLovely. Name's Betty. So into me!"

"Yeah I... Doubt that, dude." Benny says a bit weirded out.

"What about Veronica?" Ethan asks smugly.

"Well... She's okay." He says in a meh voice.

"Just okay?" Ethan asks surprised.

"Her legs are kinda bandy." Rory says in his same tone, but gets back to his day dreaming tone in the next sentence. "But Betty, I just wanna sink my fangs-"

"Okay. We get it." I hiss, angry at him already when he emphasises his point when he brings out his fangs. We then see the cheerleaders push a girl away from the lunch line. "Stephanie..." I hiss angrily.

"Ugh! Hanging with those girls make me want to stake myself through the heart." Sarah says before she's pulled away by Erica. Rory leaves and I turn to Ethan.

"Explain what you've done. Now." I growl.

"Okay! We dressed up as girls since I saw a vision of Erica sucking the blood outta the cheerleaders! Don't hurt me!" Ethan pleads.

"So... Your Betty?" I ask, hurt in my voice to Benny.

"That's low." JJ says as Benny nods his head, she pulls me away from them and we head to the house while they go to cheerleading.

Rory's POV.

I walk up to Veronica and Betty after their practice is done.

"We'll hello there, my Beezlebabe." I say, which earns a chuckle from Veronica.

"Sweetie, stop. Stop." Betty says in her cute voice.(I find it hilarious) She walked away leaving Veronica with me as I watch her walk away. I can't help thinking of Charly though... I look at Veronica and walk away in disgust. I go through the school looking for Charly. I couldn't find her so I went to look for Ethan. I walk to his house and see Charly and JJ walk upstairs to their room. I go by their window and listen to their conversation.

"I can't believe they could do this... He likes 'her' now. I guess I should just move back to my old hometown and get back together with Tony..." I hear Charly say sadly.

'Who is she talking about? And does she have a crush in someone else? And why would she go back to that Tony jerk?!' I thought to myself and accidentally dropped from floating.

Charly's POV.

I hear a thump outside but just think it's my imagination. Someone knocks on our door as Ethan runs inside our room.

"Um, the cheerleading squad is coming over, to see Veronica and Betty... Could you two... Maybe help set everything up?" He asks nervously grabbing extra pillows and blanketsz

"I'll get the snacks." I say, wiping away stray tears, getting up and walking out. Benny is franticly moving the living room around so trees room for the girls. A couple minutes later and Benny and Ethan rush upstairs to change. They come back down right as I open the door for Sarah an the cheerleaders. Sarah and Erica act differently.

"Boys are so funny!" A girl laughs as I stand at the doorway with JJ. The boys went upstairs to talk with Jane. They came back down.

"Oh, there you are!" Stephanie says in her usual 'cheery' tone. "Don't be shy, girls. Join the fun. The spirit squad is now in session." Jane walks by with a plate of snacks and I take it from her and kneel down to her height.

"Go get in bed, I'll serve the squad and come tuck you in after, okay?" I ask her and she nods.

"Hi gals!" Sarah says to the boys and then gasps. "Nice hair! Oh, my gosh. Cheerleading-sleepovers are so fun! And later on, we're going to give each other mani-pedis!"

"And make sundaes? And do each other's hair?" Benny says all girly. I hear JJ chuckle from beside me, serving the girls.

"Benny!" Ethan warns.

"Yes! We need sundaes now!" Sarah's says excitedly. JJ sighs and goes to the kitchens

"I'll make some." She says so everyone can hear.

"Sarah, what are you doing? You know Stephanie's a witch, right?" Ethan whispers.

"Okay, I know she seems like a witch because she acts like a witch, but she's actually really sweet- you know as long as your not ugly." She whispers to them. Benny and Ethan talk for a bit before I head to Jane's room.

"Hey Jane... Have sweet dreams okay?" I ask as I tuck her in and hand her, her doll. She nods and I kiss her forehead. I leave the room after shutting the door. JJ casts a spell so she doesn't hear any loud noises from out here.

"I know! Let's have a pillow fight!" Sarah says on top of the coffee table. They all have a pillow fight, Benny and Ethan joining. JJ and I sigh and wait till they all leave so we can clean up.

Next day.

The boys finally wake up. The day goes by in a blur. I remember waking up and then it being a blur until lunch at school. I walk into the cafeteria after the pep rally and see my favorite geeks near the lunch lady.

"Hey Rory." Ethan says as Rory walks up to them, we stay a bit away for a couple minutes. "Sorry to hear your girlfriend moved away."

"But I did bump into her, and she asked me to give you this." Benny says, handing Rory a pink envelope. While Rory reads it I hop on his back when he's halfway through it.

"Hey dorks! What's that?" I ask, looking over Rory's shoulder and reading the note quickly. Rory finishes it and floats up a bit with me still on his back.

"Down." Both Benny and Ethan say as they try to get Rory down without people noticing. I hop off him and run out of the room.
