Flame continued sobbing until she heard the door open. Thinking it was Sonic, she growled slightly and covered her head with a pillow. "Go away, Sonic! I don't want to see you right now."

Then, she heard a chuckle that didn't sound like Sonic's.

"Huh?" She looked up from her pillow.

"Hey there, babe." There was a green hedgehog with icy blue eyes, wearing a black jacket and red sunglasses. He was standing in front of her, smirking.

Flame blinked and sat up. "Who...who are you?"

"Name's Scourge, cutie. And might I say," He caressed her cheek, grinning at her. "You have the beauty of a thousand suns~"

Flame blushed slightly at the compliment. "A-A thousand suns?"

"Mhm~" Scourge nodded, still grinning. "And you're very cute too~"

"O-Oh um, t-thank you..?" She stuttered a bit, blushing more.

"Say, do you have a mate? If you don't, then I'll-"

"Back off, Scourge."

Scourge and Flame turned their heads and saw Sonic standing at the door with an angry look on his face.

"And why should I, brother?" The icy blue eyed hedgehog crossed his arms.

"Because she's my mate." Sonic growled.

"I don't see any mark on her neck, blue." Scourge smirked.

"She's still mine, and she's going to be my new queen." Sonic said.

"Then how come I heard her crying earlier after you supposedly yelled at her? Hmm?" Scourge raised a brow.

Flame's ears lowered down as she looked away a bit.

"I said, step off!" Sonic glared at Scourge.

"Alright, alright. But I'll be back for you, sweet cheeks." Scourge smirked at Flame before walking out of the room.

Sonic sighed and walked over to Flame. "Are you alright?"

Flame didn't respond to him. "...."

"Flame, I'm sorry for yelling at you earlier. I was just...frustrated."

"...."

"Look at me, Flame."

"...No."

"Please.."

After hours of trying, Sonic sighed in defeat and decided to leave her alone.

'Shadow...I hope you're okay out there..' Flame thought to herself and fell asleep.

(Meanwhile...normal POV)

A familiar black and red hedgehog was walking through the forest during the thunderstorm, trying to find his little sister.

"Damn it...where is she...? She should've been home by now..!" He mumbled, looking around.

"Huh..?" He then looked up and saw the enormous castle from a few miles away. "If the storm is this worst, then she might've took shelter in there...I just hope she's okay.." He then started running.
