You and Levi, were walking home after your job was finished for the day.
"Man, that was exgausting~." You breath out.
"Tch, then why did you take the job, brat?" Levi asks.
"Ah, well, the reason is kinda stupid." You say.
"Tell me." Levi demands.
"No, you'll make fun of me." You say.
"Tch, I won't." Levi says.
"Promise?" You ask, earning a nod from Levi.
"It's because, I want to be strong." You stopped walking as you said this, causing Levi to stop and turn around.
"Why is that?" Levi asks as he raises an eyebrow.
"If I feel like I'm too weak, it makes me feel useless, for example, if my friends were in trouble, I don't want to just stand there, and watch them get hurt. I want to protect them." You explained.
"I see." Was all Levi said as you and him continued your way to Levi's home.
After a few minutes of silence, you and Levi finally make it back home.
But, when you got there, you saw that the door was cracked open.
"Stay here." Levi says sternly, before heading inside.
After a few minutes of silence, you heard Levi shout "Dammit Shitty-glasses!"
'Shitty-glasses? Isn't that one of Levi's friend named 'Hanji'.' You think.
Once you think this, you walk inside, but before you reached where Levi was, you felt a hand on your shoulder.
You yelped, as you quickly grabbed the wrist of the person behind you, and flipped them onto their back.
"What is it!?" Levi hurries into the room, and stands still at what he sees.
You look down, and find a man with blond hair, and busy eyebrows.
When you saw Hanji come in, she starts rolling on the floor in laughter.
Levi gives a long sigh, before asking "Erwin, what are you doing?"
The man, now known as 'Erwin', gets up off the floor, and brushes the wrinkles out of his clothes.
"Well, it seems that when I went to place my hand on her shoulder, she flipped me over." Erwin stated as he looked at you.
Your face burned with embarrassment, as you say "S-Sorry, I just acted on reflexes."
"Its fine." Erwin says to you.
"Are you sure you're okay? I mean it sounded like you hit the ground hard." You say a bit worriedly.
"I'm fine, I assure you." He says confidently.
"Tch, mind explaining to me, why the hell you broke into my house?" Levi growls.
"Well, you did say you wanted us to help you with miss (L/N)." Erwin says, and as soon as he says this, you see another man appear.
He also has blond hair, and had a bit of a mustache.
He then walks up to you, and sniffs you, surprised by the sudden action, you jump back a bit.
The man smiles, then nods a bit, before going by Erwin's side.
Hanji must have seen your puzzled expression, because she soon explains.
"Oh, that's Mike, by the way, and don't worry, he does that to everybody."
You could only nod at what she said.
'What an odd person.' You think, but you were soon interrupted by Erwin's voice.
"So, what are we gonna do now?" Erwin asks Levi.
"Tch, I don't know, that's why I called you." Levi says, crossing his arms in the process.
"Well, I might have one, but you might not like it." Erwin suggests.
"And that would be?" Levi asks, raising an eyebrow.
"That we take her to HQ." Erwin states.
"No." Levi declines flatly.
"But, that might be the only way to guarantee her safety." Erwin defends.
"No, its too fucking dangerous for a human." Levi growls.
"But, it could also mean safety for her." Erwin says.
"Still 'no'." Levi declines.
"You do realize I'm still here." You deadpan.
They both seem to realize this, because they then turn their attention towards you.
"Listen Levi, I know that your trying to look out for me and all, but think about this logically, by being in a larger group is going to be safer than just a group that's limited down to two." You say, trying you best to not upset Levi.
"She does have a point, Levi." Hanji adds.
"Tch, fine, you win, we'll move to the HQ." Levi says in defeat.
"Then I'll go pack my things." You say as you enter your temporary room.
After about a half an hour of repacking later, you were out in the living room, carrying your suitcase.
"Are you ready?" Levi asks, earning a nod from you.
He grabs you around the waist, but before warping to wherever their HQ is, he tells you to hold your breath.
You take a deep breath, and hold it.
That's when you felt as if you were riding the world's fastest rollercoaster that goes at top speed.
That only lasted about a second, before you felt yourself stop, you look up, and see a large mansion.
"This is your HQ?" You ask in disbelief.
"Yeah, why you shocked?" Levi asked as he smirks.
"No, I'm more concerned is how you clean this." You say as seriously as you could.
"Tch, smartass." Levi mutters.
"Better being a smartass, then a dumbass." You shoot back at him.
Levi grumbles, as you smirk in triumph.
You look up, and see that Erwin, Hanji, and Mike are all smiling at you two.
"What are you looking at?" Levi growls.
"Oh, nothing." Erwin says as he chuckles.
Levi grumbles curses under his breath, as you stood there dumbfounded at what was going on.
After a few minutes of walking down the large pathway, your finally in front of two large doors.
Erwin pushes them open, and you walk in behind Levi.
As soon as you were in, you were instantly greeted by a large group of people.
They all turned their attention towards you.
Not liking that all the attention is on you, you slowly hide yourself behind Levi.
"What is it?" Levi says, so that only you could hear.
"Nothing, I just don't like it when people stare at me, it makes me really uncomfortable." You whisper.
As you walk behind Erwin, Hanji, Mike, and Levi, you could hear whispers about you.
'Is that a human?'
'What's a human doing here?'
'Wait, is that the 'rare blood'?'
You continue to make your way behind Levi, and you finally come to a stop in front of a small wooden door.
Erwin opens it, and all of you walk through.
Once the doors close, you let out a sigh.
'That was intense.' You think to yourself.
"So, where will Miss (L/N) be staying?" Erwin asks.
"She can stay with me!" Hanji shouts.
"Tch, no way, you'll probably force her to do experiments." Levi hisses.
"Wait, what experime-" before you could continue, Levi, Mike, and Erwin all cover your mouth with their hands.
"Shut it, brat. If ask that Shitty-glasses will never stop talking." Levi hisses, and you nod your head frantically.
They all let you go.
"Tch, I can let the brat stay in my office/bedroom." Levi says as he turns his head to the side.
"I guess that could work." Erwin states, while nodding his head.
"Okay, I guess its official. (F/N) will be staying in Levi's office/bedroom." Erwin says.
"Tch, come on, brat, I'll show you where my office is, and tomorrow, I'll let you meet my squad." Levi says as he grabs your wrist, and drags you out of the office, and down the large corridors.
After a few minutes of walking down different corridors, you come to a different door.
Levi opens it, and you step inside.
It looked like a simple office. It had a desk with a chair behind and in front of it, a bookshelf, and a couch.
Levi then walks to a door, and opens it.
Revealing a bedroom that had a bed that could easily fit two, along with a bathroom on the other side of the room.
"This is where you'll be sleeping." Levi says, as he makes his way towards the desk, and upon further expection, you saw that the desk was filled with paperwork.
"Wait, what about you?" You ask, as Levi sits behind his desk, and begins to do paperwork.
"Doing paperwork. I told you before, vampires don't sleep." He says simply, as he begins to write something down on a piece of paper.
Feeling bad that you were taking Levi's bed, you decided to do something.
You walked up to the desk, and sat down on the opposite side of Levi. You then picked up a few pieces of paper and began to scan them.
"What are you doing, brat?" Levi asks, not looking up from his paperwork.
"Helping." You say, as you walk back to your suitcase, and unzip it.
You then dig through it, and picked up a small pencil case, you then opened it, and took out a small yellow highlighter.
You then went back to the desk, and sat back down.
You then picked up the piece of paper that you were reading, and began to highlight the things that you thought to be important.
___________Levi's POV_____________
I was picking up the next piece of paper, and noticed that it was highlighted.
I then realized that all the highlighted things were of the most important things to read.
I looked up to see that (F/N) were reading the pieces of paper, and began hilighting things.
"You don't have to help." I say.
"I want to help." She says, not looking up from the papers in front of her.
I let a ghost of a smile tug at my lips, as I get back to signing the papers.
After a few hours of signing things, I picked up a piece of paper that wasn't highlighted.
I was about to ask why, but I soon discovered the answer.
There on the other side of my desk, was (F/N) sleeping peacefully, on top of the paper that she was trying to highlight.
The highlighter was now on the floor, and her arms were being used as a pillow.
"Idiot, you didn't have to help me to the point of exhausting yourself out." I mutter to myself as I get up, and walked over to (F/N).
I gently picked her up bridal style, and began to walk towards my bedroom.
I gently laid her down on the bed, and pulled the covers over her.
"Night, brat." I whisper as I gently kiss her forehead.
