Chapter eleven

You woke up to be in your family house, the house you was born in. Looking around you realised you were alone. You stood up regaining your balance as you felt dizzy and slightly drousy. You couldn't remember how you had gotten here or why, you couldn't remember what had happened before.

You walked to the door and opened it, popping your head outside. The hallway was quite narrow and it was completely empty. You stepped out and thought of your options. Both ways leaded to somwhere. After coming to a decision you chose to turn right. As you came to the end of the hallway you turned left and carried on, shortly stumbling upon a double door. You could smell Kaname's scent coming from it.

You stepped towards it and then froze. What was in there? Why was the smell so familiar and so full of Kaname.

"I'm not your older brother Yuuki. I killed your brother when Rido came and awoke me. He had your brother with him, he sacrificed him to me and awoke me. That's why I needed Zero to kill him for me, to break the bond he had with me. I took the shape of your brother but Haruka and Juri knew that I wasn't their son."

If they knew then why did they lie to me? Why did they raise him? Did they think it'd be better for me? You thought.

"Hey you!" You heard Hanabusa say and you felt a hand on your shoulder, and freaked out at the sudden touch. "Calm down your panties, it's only me!" You turn around rubbed the back of your head sheepishly.

"Sorry Aidou!" You apologise.

"What're you doing down here anyway!?" Aidou suddenly yells out.

"I was thinking.."

"About what, and down here?!"

"I was thinking of Kaname.. and what belongs behind this door."

"Well Kaname told me to get you studying the vampire ways before he got back so you need to get up those steps and up to the study room. You'll find Zero there too!"

You sped up and into the room. You looked around frantically, hoping what he'd said was true. Zero looked up from the chair he was sat on and stood up. You smiled and ran over to him, engulfing him in a hug.

"Yuuki, can you get off me? Your squeezing the breath out of me."

"Sorry, Zero."

You pull away from him and he stares down at you, you gulp and step back.

"Right Lady Yuuki, time for you to get studying!" Aidou called out.

You sit down on the nearest chair and Aidou came over and opened the book.

"I want you to complete the whole book by tonight! Get cracking! And Kiryuu will be a distraction so I'll be taking him along with me." He states and walks out with Zero. You watch them walking out, and then sighed and started reading.

May as well get started.

.. Why am I so thirsty all of a sudden?..

You think to yourself, feeling the quench for blood coming on. You continue reading as you try your best to ignore the quench.

A few hours later the door opens and you caught a familiar scent. You look up and over at the door. There stood Kaname.

"Oni-sama?" You ask, as Kaname tilts his head slightly sideways and smiles at you.

"Yuuki, you know the truth I'm not your Oni-sama." He states walking to you.

"You helped raise me, I don't care if you are my oni-sama or not.. Your one to me." You stubbornly tell him.

"Your such a stubborn girl. Yuuki are you still willing to become my wife knowing the truth?" He asks you seriously.

"Of course I am.. though you do realise my thirst will never be quenched if Zero isn't around."

"Your such a greedy fiancée aren't you? But of course, that's why he's accepted the offer to live here with us and protect you when I'm not around as well."

"You treat me like a child."

"You are a child Yuuki.. you still make me bite myself for blood to feed you."

"I don't like hurting you!" You huff. He looks down at you amused as plays with your long brown hair.

"Are you hungry Yuuki?" He asks and you look up at him and nod. He puts out his wrist and you just stare at it. He sighs and bites it for you and gives it back, as you pounce on his wrist like a leopard.

"Still like a child." He states.

As you could feel the thirst going away you pull away and wipe your mouth.

"Thank you Oni-sama."

"Your welcome Yuuki.. also Yuuki how many times? Call me Kaname."

"I'll try Oni-sama." You giggle and he chuckles. Zero walks in and looks at you in relief.

"I thought I smelt blood." He states.

"Well, it's nice to see your nose is working." Kaname smirks.

"Kaname, that isn't a very nice thing to say." You scold him, making Zero stifle a laugh.

"Apparently you telling people off is the funniest thing in the world." Kaname points to a laughing Zero that was on the floor holding his stomach. You grab your book and walk over to him, and smash it onto his stomach making him stop immediately and groan. Then Kaname was laughing like Zero was.

"What- You two are as bad as each other! It's terrible!" You say and walk out.

You hear the doorbell and walk over to the door. You open it to see the night class you know.

"Takuma, Souen, Shiki, Touya, Akatsuki! Come on in! You must be freezing out there!" You invite them in and they all thank you. Kaname and Zero and Aidou came out to investigate.

"Would you like any warm drinks? I'll go put the tea on!" You say and they all object. You turn and look at them in shock.

"Well, we only came to see where you had ran off to." Takuma explains, and you look at him confused.

"I was going to come and tell you all later. You beat me to it, I see." Kaname says smiling. You look over at him curiously, then back at your classmates.

"You didn't bring Sayori?" You say quite disapointed.

"Yuuki, we can't have a girl - a human girl - in a house full of vampires. I can understand you would like to see her but it's better that we don't have her here. Not tonight." Kaname states and he has a good reason. You nod your head unwillingly, you didn't want to understand why she couldn't be here, you just wanted to see her.

"Although it would have been nice to see Wakaba, and she does know our vampire secret. She was the only one who was left with her memories due to Yuuki's sake. Wakaba helped us in the school, they all knew our secret and well, Wakaba stood up and told them all to shut up about it and well basically, let us do our protective job.. Also to not stop believing in us now they knew what we were." Aidou explains and you smiled to yourself.

"Sayori.." You whisper to yourself in awe.

"Well then, come on in you five." Kaname says and walks into the living room them following him. You follow in as well and sit next to Kaname.

"Yuuki, I would like to chat with them privately could you go back to studying for me?" Kaname smiles sweetly, yet you narrow your eyes at him and cross your arms over your chest.

"I'm no child, whatever you can tell them you can tell me." You stubbornly say.

"I will eventually tell you what I'm going to tell them."

"So save your breath and tell me now."

"Yuuki, now isn't the time for your stubbornness."

"I don't care, I'm staying whether you like it or not."

You could see Zero laughing in the corner of your eye and the guys was looking at you in awe except Ruka, she was glaring at you. Senri was also laughing with Zero. Kaname sighs and mutters under his breath, "Stubborn." You turn to him.

"I heard that!" You exclaim.

"You can be so childish at times," He chuckles. He turned to the night class and had a stern look on his face. "By now you probably know my goals and what I'm trying to achieve. I'm going to ask you all this.. Would you all commit yourself to me and help me? If you don't want to help me then it's fine.. but if you try to stop me you'll be an enemy not an ally." Kaname asks and you look at him confused. They all nod and agree with Kaname to help him and you look at them.

"What goal?" You ask.

"The goal to put an end to the pureblood line." Kaname tells you. Your eyes go wide, as you gulped.

"No.. I can't agree with that! I can't believe you five would actually agree to that!" You burst out and everyone looks at you wide eyed. Even Zero, and Aidou, however Kaname remains calm trying to pull you into him to calm you down.

"Shh, Yuuki.. I could imagine your feeling threatened but I will not hurt you." Kaname says.

"Yet! You won't hurt me yet!" You yell.

"Yuuki, calm down."

"I will not calm down! How can I calm down when you'll kill me eventually!" You yell at him and his facial expression turns to hurt, and you kind of feel guilty about yelling at him.

"Yuuki, how can you think I will kill you? That's one thing I cannot do."

"Then how will you end the pureblood line?" You ask.

"I shall become the new parent of the hunter association and you will be free to do whatever you wish."

"So I'll have a dead fiancée?!" You shriek.

"I'll still be with you in blood, just like Haruka and Juri."

"I won't let you do that Kaname." You say sternly.

"You won't have a choice but to let me." He says, and confuses you.
