Chapter Twenty-One

~Your POV~

Your legs stood firmly outside the building. You really had no idea why you had brought yourself here, or why the bracelet had. You stared at the building and gulped. Two of the vampires on guard duty stared at you confused. They walled up to you as your bracelet stopped glowing releasing the hold it had on you.

"Aren't you a pureblood?" One of the two men asked you and you narrowed your eyes at them.

"I think she is." The other stated as he went to touch your shoulder he got sent flying back.

You stared at the guard who was on the floor, "You should have better manners than that." You heard a familiar voice behind you. You turned your head and saw Senri.

"Senri, thank you." You smiled at him and he nodded coming to your side. The other guard went to help his friend as Senri turned to you.

"What are you doing outside the Senate building? Of all the places." He questioned you and you raised your wrist pointing to the bracelet.

"This thing possessed my body I guess and I ended up here. I have no clue why." You explained as Senri inspected the bracelet carefully.

"So let's get this right, I disappeared for a couple of months and everything went to to crazy town?" He asked sarcastically causing you to laugh at him. Senri, although he was Quentin's half brother he was quite close to you. During your time at the academy you both had bonded as you both had the same careless attitudes.

"Pretty much. So, how's Rima?" You asked him and he smiled.

"She's good, it feels weird to be back without her though." You nodded at his statement, they were always together so it made sense.

You both heard the gate rattle and you looked over to see Zero frozen in his tracks. His facial expression was one of whom just got caught doing something wrong. You raised your eyebrow as he tried avoiding your eye contact.

"Zero, are you alright?" You asked walking over to him with Senri. He simply nodded and looked to Senri.

"When did you get back?" Zero questioned him.

"Not long ago. I heard of my brothers new status and wanted to talk to him." Senri explained, you looked over to him with hopeful eyes.

"Do me a favour, tell him to remove this bracelet from me whilst you're talking with him." You pleaded as Senri stared at you shocked.

"Wait, Quentin put that on you?" His eyes narrowed and you nodded. "What else has my brother been doing that I don't know of Elissa?" Senri asked and then looked at Zero.

"You don't want to know." You told him as Senri sighed.

"I knew it wasn't a good idea to leave him alone. I'll make whatever he's done wrong right, you have my word. Both of you." Senri promised and walked inside the Senate's headquarters. You stared at Zero and then crossed your arms.

"You still haven't told me about these orders of yours from Quentin." You told him and he scoffed.

"Aren't you supposed to be with our father? In the hunters association... You know where you're safe?" Zero shot back at you and you squinted at him.

"Touché. But I'm only here because of this damn bracelet. It took control of my body and I couldn't stop it until I ended up here." You explained and Zero quickly covered up he had widened his eyes in response.

"Well let's get you back to the association. I'm sure Kaien is probably freaking out at your disappearance." Zero told you and took ahold of your hand pulling you away from the building. You looked up to the building as he pulled you away, it was a huge building and you wondered how much Zero had been in.

You walked inside the association with Zero. Tara instantly hugged you in relief causing you to stumble back. Zero yanked her off of you and put you protectively behind him.

"Tara what're you doing? You don't even know her!" Zero scolded her and you laughed at him.

"Zero... Who do you think has been helping dad and I in the archives?" You explained to him and he looked at her which she nodded standing with her arms crossed. You came out from behind Zero and Tara checked you over. "Tara, I'm fine." You explained to her and she nodded stopping.

"Where have you been? Your father has been worried sick. He's gone out searching for you." She explained and you sighed.

"I'm sorry for worrying you all, but it really wasn't my fault. The bracelet took control of my body and I ended up in front of the Senate." You explained and she looked concerned.

"I'll go search for the old man." Zero told you and walked back outside.

Tara stayed with you whilst Zero left the building to look for Kaien. You made small talk with her until you both heard a frantic rush coming into the building. You turned to see what was going on until you were pulled into someone's arms. You recognised it straight away.

"Dad, I'm fine." You told him and his arms tightened.

"Zero filled me in. This bracelet needs to come off." He said his voice filled with concern.

"Senri is on it." You stated and he nodded, probably somewhat hopeful Senri will come through for you.

"Let's get you back to the academy then."

Your father said a quick goodbye to Tara and left with you and Zero. The car ride back to the academy was quick, the town wasn't that far from the academy. You walked back into the school grounds and walked to the night dorms with Zero. Kaname was waiting outside the dorms with Ichijo as you arrived. Kaname hugged you as a welcome back.

"She ended up at the Senate's gates." Zero stated and you felt Kaname tense up.

"Senri is back though." You smiled up at Kaname as he let you out of his arms.

"Senri's back? He isn't supposed to be back yet." Ichijo stated, "I was in contact with his modelling agency to get them to extend his job with Rima. I didn't want to get him caught up in Quentin's plans." Ichijo looked worried and it made you feel bad for letting Senri walk into the building alone.

"He's gone to try and reason with Quentin." You explained and Ichijo's face lit up with more worry.

"He found out Quentin stuck the bracelet on her." Zero added and you nodded.

"I don't like this... the last time Senri was in that building Rido possessed his body. Rima got hurt badly and Ruka nearly got hurt too. I'm going to go to the Senate and wait for him to make sure he's alright." Ichijo gripped onto his sword with a hardened serious expression, he walked past you and that's when Kaname stopped him.

"Ichijo, don't take another step." Kaname called out making Ichijo stop in his tracks.

Ichijo turned to Kaname a look of confusion on his face, "Why- Why did you stop me Kaname?! Senri is my friend!"

"I need you here, we can't find Yuuki without your presence. You have her blood in your system which makes her easier to track down for you. We've wasted enough time." Kaname explained and Ichijo looked as if he was torn.

"We can send Zero to the Senate for Senri as back up, can't we?" You suggested trying to help Ichijo's worry calm down.

"No, if Quentin sees me there when I haven't been summoned then he'll know I'm up to no good. There's no telling what he'd do to Yuuki if he was to retaliate." Zero explained to you and you shook your head.

"There's nothing wrong with going and explaining you were looking for Senri. He can't retaliate unless you start a fight or something." You pushed and Zero sighed.

"Okay, okay." Zero gave in.

"That would also give us an advantage too, if you can play his game Zero and keep him busy that would mean we can get a better chance at finding her."

You watched as Zero turned and left, Kaname put his arm around your waist and it made you flinch out or his embrace. You knew your side of your waist was probably sore and bruised from Quentin's death grip on you. You excused yourself from Kaname and ran off towards where Zero headed off in. You ran up to him and gave him a hug from behind. You noticed his shocked manner as he didn't bring his hands to yours yet.

"Do me a favour Zero, be safe." You whispered to him and he turned in your arms to hug you back.

"I'll try and be as safe as I can be. I'll call for backup if I need it." He whispered whispered you and you nodded.

"I'll be waiting then." You smiled up at him and pulled away a little. Your arms still around him and his around you.

"Focus on finding Yuuki." He told you and you nodded.

Before you could say anything Zero's lips were on yours. It took your breathe away as you wasn't expecting him to do that. He pulled away from you resting his head on yours. "I'll be back before you know it." He said and pulled out of your arms and left you standing dazed, trying to piece what had just happened. Your hand went to your lips as you turned the corner to watch Zero walking down the stairs of the academy.

"I'll be here.." you whispered to yourself.

You watched as Ichijo led you through the forest. He had stopped the car because he had sensed something. He thought it was either an item that belonged to Yuuki or it was Yuuki. He was sure about that. You kept close to Ichijo as he was teaching you a better way to access your powers. He was aware Kaname had wanted to teach you these things but he felt you had to have some way other than your staff to protect yourself. You had managed to get things to steadily levitate so far so you were happy about that at least. You were walking with levitating stones and branches around you.

You lost your focus when you saw something familiar. You walked to the tree and walked around it. You gasped at what you saw. Ichijo looked around after he saw it.

"I was once allowed to be outside when I was being held by Quentin. I carved this when nobody was looking. Hoping that one day, if anyone I knew was in the area looking for me they'd see this. This isn't far from the house he had me in." You told him and he looked around more frantically. You reacted yourself carving it and then turned in the same direction you had been to go back into the house. You took a deep breathe, "Give me your hand and don't let it go." You told Ichijo whom nodded in agreement handing you his hand.

You started walking in the same direction you did once before, Ichijo followed your lead. You reached out several steps later and your hand felt an invisible handle which made you push on it and it revealed an entrance. You froze looking inside, it was the house you had been in. Ichijo saw your expression and stepped in before you did to make you feel more safer. He made sure to put a door stopper in between the door and the door frame just in case.

The lights were on and you started looking for Yuuki, you turned to Ichijo and motioned with your finger for him to still be quiet. You both didn't know what you were walking into. You got your staff out just in case so you were prepared. You walked into the hallway and out of the front room, you opened the doors one by one and eventually came in front of the door he held you behind. You were scared to confront the room, you didn't ever want to be back here. It made you feel sick.

"You okay Elissa?" Ichijo asked concerned and you shook your head no. He gave you a reassuring squeeze on your hand. "I'll protect you don't worry." He whispered to you making you feel somewhat better.

He opened the door as you couldn't and you felt light headed seeing as he had kept the decor he had in there for you. It was un touched. Ichijo stared at the room in shock, you hadn't told anyone of what Quentin had done to you or put you through other than telling Zero a little bit. Ichijo looked over at you, "This is..."

"I know. This was the room I was kept in.. if it wasn't the dungeon-" You cut yourself off as your heart jumped. You couldn't see Yuuki in the room where he had kept you so you instantly knew where she was going to be.

"Elissa?"

"I'm going to kill him if she's down there." Rage consumed you as you let go of Ichijo's hand, you no longer felt scared or alone. You felt furious even thinking of the possibility that he had hurt your sister. Your feet started running down the hallway further and you tore the door off the hinges as you didn't have the key for the door and you weren't wasting anymore time looking for one. The light started filling the room and you stepped down slowly looking around to see if she was down there.

"Yuuki? Are you down here?" You called out.

"Elissa? Is that really you?.." you heard a small voice call out and you rushed down the steps and to your sister.

"Yep, I'm going to kill him." You muttered to yourself as you gave her a hug.

"Ichijo! Get down here! I found her!" You called out - More like ordered.

Ichijo scrambled down the stairs and instantly took her in his arms. He held her as you tore the chains from the wall. The smell of blood made you freeze and when you looked down and saw it was just Yuuki drinking from Ichijo you were relieved that it wasn't her own blood. You were relieved that you had found her but you felt guilty that she had sacrificed herself for you.

"Yuuki... I'm so sorry..." you whispered and she pulled away from Ichijo and then pulled you in for another hug. This time she held you tightly as you did.

"This was my own actions, Elissa... You have nothing to apologise for. I'd do anything for you and I'd do it again-"

"No! You ever pull this again and I'll never speak to you again! Please, don't do this again!" You cried and she let out soft whimpers too.

"I'm sorry." She whispered as you both cried on each others shoulders.

"Let's get you both out of here. We've got what we came for, now let's not be here any longer than we have to." Ichijo said and you both pulled yourselves together nodding in agreement.
