Chapter Twelve

A/N: this chapter is going to be in 3rd POV.

Kaname watched Elissa's body go limp in his cousins arms. Yuuki was scrambling towards her hoping to help her but Kaname acted too fast for her. He picked Yuuki up and gave her to Aidou who nodded and took her away to Aidou's room. He thought it wouldn't be appropriate for him to enter Kaname's room without his expressed permission. Considering the last time he went in to snoop and got caught.

Takuma would have preferred it for Kaname to have told him to take Yuuki away to safety but he knew the reasons behind it. One, Aidou was fully capable at handling Yuuki's stubbornness and childness. Secondly, Kaname trusted Takuma like a brother to fight with him and Takuma would not be scared to see what Kaname could do as he'd seen it before. The two had fought together many times before side by side completing jobs for the Senate when it was still functioning with Takuma's grandfather.

"You have one chance to put her down gently on that bed before I rip your head off." Kaname threatened his eye narrowed at Quentin.

Quentin lifted his head up to face Kaname and Kaname's eyes turned to anger as he saw Elissa blood on his mouth. "Why would I let her go? She tastes so good. Don't you agree Kaname? Or have you not had some yet?" Quentin provoked Kaname who started using his powers to burst Quentin's arm up.

Quentin didn't react to it he just chuckled. "My my, what a temper." Quentin smirked at him.

"Let Lady Elissa go!" Takuma exclaimed at him taking his sword out of its case. Quentin just chuckled. "Like I said it's not happening."

Kaname vanished out of sight of Takuma for a second until he saw him in front of Quentin. Kaname grabbed Quentin by the throat and pinned him against the wall ripping into his chest and Takuma caught Elissa who fell to the floor.

"Wake up Elissa.." Takuma started whispering to her hoping she'd wake up at it as he tapped her cheek.

"You do not deserve the blood you have taken from her. How dare you put your hands on a pureblood, let alone sink your teeth into them. And what's more you decided to attack my fianceé. I should rip your heart out right here." Kaname shouted angrily at Quentin.

Quentin's eyes looked up at the door and he chuckled, "Ah, a bit late to the party aren't you?" He asked, making Kaname and Takuma both turn their heads to Zero standing in the door. Kaname's eyes narrowed as Quentin's words struck down his trust in Zero.

"What is going on here?" Zero asked and as soon as he saw Elissa unconscious on the ground he instantly took out his bloody rose gun. "Why is she unconscious?" Zero asked trying to figure out who he needed to shoot. He then noticed the gash marks on Quentin's chest and knew exactly what Quentin had done to deserve them. "You fed on her?!" Zero yelled coming towards Kaname and Quentin. He stuck his gun to his forehead, "Give me one reason why I shouldn't shoot." Zero gripped the gun tightly and his teeth were gritted. He was just as furious as Kaname.

"Kaname... Elissa.. She just vanished.." Takuma's concerned voice made Zero snap out of his anger. Zero and Kaname both looked to Takuma on the floor looking around like he'd just lost his glasses or something. Kamame turned to Quentin starting to choke him whilst Zero frantically asked Takuma where Elissa had gone but he had no answer.

"Where is she?!" Kamame exclaimed at Quentin, "Safe. Until you decide to disobey me. I'll be in touch."

And just like that. Kaname, Zero and Takuma all watched Quentin disappear. Kaname was left stunned.

"This is Yuuki's room, where is she?" Zero asked Kaname and when he didn't answer he gripped Takuma's top, "Where is Yuuki?!"

"She's with Aidou, she's safe Zero." Takuma answered and Zero let go of him and ran off to find her. He was calling Yuuki and Aidou's name to try and find out which room they were in. He tried Kaname's room which was the obvious choice and then tried Elissa's. He carried on down the hallway calling her name when a door opened revealing Aidou looking out. He looked at him and Yuuki came to the door too.

"Is Elissa alright?! She was being attacked by-"

"Quentin, yes I know. Stay out here for second with her." Zero cut Yuuki off protectively holding her and handing her to Aidou. He didn't waste no time in going inside the room even with Aidou's protect to his privacy. Zero looked around the room and focused trying to find any secret passage or anything of Elissa's. Anything. He wanted just anything he could use to track her down. He tried to find a scent but he didn't pick anything up. He looked back to Yuuki and Aidou walking back out to them.

"Yuuki, take me to your room quickly." Zero told her, she didn't know what was going on but she didn't waste no time in doing so. She led them down the hallway a bit further down the hall from Aidou's room. She went to open the door when Zero stopped her. Aidou nodded knowing he wanted him to stay with her.

Zero opened the door and walked inside. He proceeded inside the room and started to look around. Kaname soon caught up with him in the room, as soon as Kaname entered the door slammed shut behind him. Neither of them flinched though, but Yuuki did. She let out a screech from it not expecting it. Takuma came running down the hall at her screech and Aidou was trying to open the door. "Aidou what happened?!" Takuma called out as he made sure Yuuki was alright.

"The door just slammed, it shook her up." Aidou answered trying to remain calm. He knew if someone was still calm Yuuki would be alright. She usually had a calm head on her shoulders but since she turned back into a pureblood she'd been a little helpless and shaky. Though if the occasion called for it, there was the Yuuki that was once a guardian that shone through.

"Stand back, I'll pry it open with my sword." Takuma told him and Aidou shook his head, "I don't think it'll work. There was no window open in the room. This has to be the work of a pureblood. We're useless here." Aidou explained his concerns to Takuma. They both sighed, making Yuuki clear her throat. Her eyes were narrowed, "You're forgetting that you have a pureblood right here!" She exclaimed at them angrily. They both stiffened at her yelling. She stood in front of the door and started to try to use her powers to open it back up.

On the other side of the door, Kaname was wondering why he had just heard Yuuki yell whilst Zero was chuckling at it. He was thinking back to the days she would yell at him for skipping duties. He soon snapped out of his thoughts when he took his bloody rose out and shot the wall behind him.

Kaname was already staring at him, he'd sensed it too. "My, my, what good aim you have." They heard Quentins voice in the room, but couldn't see him. They sensed him somewhere in the room though. "How about you come out of the shadows and I'll show you how good my aim can be." Zero retorted clenching his teeth and gripped his gun tighter by the second.

"Very mouthy this one. No wonder you get on Kaname's nerves." Quentin stated. Zero and Kaname locked gazes starting to look around the room when they both noticed Quentin leaning on the wardrobe behind them both. Kaname used his powers to give Quentin another blow as Zero shot him in the side. "Obviously you don't have that great of an aim otherwise you would have gone for my head." Quentin smirked at him making Zero kick where he had just shot causing Quentin to exclaim in pain.

He landed on the wall at the side of Kaname, "You have seconds to bring back Elissa." Kaname threatened him and Quentin just chuckled. "Now why would I do that when I've got the best of both worlds? She's your fianceé and Zero loves her too, that makes you two my puppets." He chuckled as he pointed at the two.

"I am nobodies puppet." Zero marched towards Quentin but Kaname stopped him. "Neither am I but he has her," Kaname reasoned with him, before turning back to Quentin, "What's your game? What do you want?"

"Well technically I've already gotten what I want. I wanted her, I took her. However, the Senate wants Zero to join them. They entrusted me with the task of convincing Zero to join them." Quentin told them, Kaname and Zero both looked at him annoyed.

"What about him?" Zero asked nodding towards Kaname, who looked at Quentin with hard eyes.

"As for Kaname, it's nothing personal but you're the most highly respected pureblood there is. You'll introduce me to the vampire society as your pureblood cousin. It worked for your sisters it should work for me-"

"That only worked because they are actually purebloods."

"I'm half pureblood, it's pureblood enough. You'll do as I say from now on and be a good dog for me. Otherwise your beloved will suffer and I'll make sure you or Yuuki will feel it too."

"You've got some nerve-"

"You're defending him now? I thought you hated purebloods." Quentin laughed at Zero who tightened his grip on his gun.

"He doesn't have to answer to you." Kaname glared at Quentin.

"Maybe not, but you do. Unless you want poor Elissa to suffer the consequences. Whatever I do to her, I'll make sure I find a way to link Yuuki to her if you're not satisfied with just Elissa getting hurt." Quentin laughed and just as Kaname went to strike him he vanished again. There was no trace of him. That was then when the door flew open and off its hinges into the room tackling both Kaname and Zero down against the door.

"Which one of you idiots are trying to kill us?!" Zero exclaimed angrily at Aidou and Takuma, but they just pointed towards Yuuki who had her mouth covered with wide eyes. Zero's eyes softened as did his facial expression. "Y-Yuuki- I-" Zero was trying to form a sentence to atone for his words.

"Are you calling my sister an idiot Zero?" Kaname stood up and asked threatening him with the look he gave.

"No, I hadn't realised it was Yuuki using her powers." Zero scratched the back of his head.

"Good, I'm glad you're not calling her an idiot. I thought you might have needed to be taught a lesson." Kaname stated and walked off, patting Yuuki on the head as he walked past. Yuuki watched and Zero sighed at the tension in the room.

"Zero, what happened in here? We heard gunshots and thought you might have fired at Kaname." Takuma asked with his worried eyes of his. He recognised that Kaname was behaving differently.

"I didn't fire it at him. I fired it at the wall. I was trying to hit Quentin. My guess was right, he was waiting for Yuuki in here." Zero explained and they both looked at her standing in the door way. She cautiously made her way over to Zero giving him a hug and then made her way to Takuma.

"I'm glad you thought of the possibility. Thank you Zero. I'm not quite sure what I would have done should Yuuki have been taken too... it's bad enough Elissa-"

"What?.. Where is Elissa?.." Yuuki asked frightened to hear the answer for the sake of her sisters safety. Nobody couldn't answer her answer so Zero stepped forward and pulled her into a hug.

"He took her, but I promise you Yuuki... I'll get her back, even if its the last thing I do. I'll get her back no matter what." Zero told her and she hugged him back beginning to cry.

"I hope she's okay. What if-"

Yuuki started babbling and Zero pulled her away by her shoulders, making her stop and look at him with tearful eyes.

"Don't you dare think about stuff like that. She's going to be fine. You know how much fight she has in her, she won't allow herself to be touched by just anyone so willingly."

Yuuki nodded at Zero her eyebrows narrowing slightly. She knew he was right. Elissa had a lot of fight in her, in the battle field she was an equal to Zero and his abilities.

Zero left the room after making sure Yuuki would be alright. Aidou and Takuma had volunteered themselves to stay with Yuuki and guard her day and night. Zero had felt relieved about that, he wouldn't have seen her with no guards after Elissa was taken so easily. He walked to Kaname's room and entered it without knocking. Kaname looked at him as he entered and closed the door.

"We need to talk." Zero told him, Kaname sat down in his lounge chair and offered Zero a seat in the armchairs in front of Kaname.

"I couldn't agree more." Kaname stated as Zero sat down and a silence filled the room.

Yes I know another chapter after so long of not posting anything. I really enjoyed writing my last chapter and as soon as that was published I started on this one. I wanted to give it time for the last chapter to be read though before posting this one. I want to make it clear I realise I've made a mistake with the rooms so just imagine that Yuuki was asleep in Takumas room or something and not her own 😂 sorry about that misunderstanding

I want to get your thoughts on whether you would allow me to go from 3rd person and 1st person a lot more so basically bouncing between everyone at the academy and then to Elissa's POV - which is your POV.

It just makes things more flexible for this book. If I was to stick to Elissa POV it would get boring for me to write.
