Chapter Ten

You had just finished carrying your luggage up the stairs of the academy. You let out a breath of relief that you had no more bags and a sigh of tiredness from going back and forth up the stairs. You had packed a lot of things to bring to the academy dorms and been so you packed it all you wouldn't let anyone burden themselves with your luggage. Ruka, Aidou and Kain had watched you go back and forward clueless to why you were so intent on carrying your own things.

You picked up what you could and you started to walk towards the moon dorm. You got to the gates and saw Zero and Kaname at the gates. You looked at them a little confused but shook your head. They weren't arguing and you weren't going to make them start or give them an excuse to start. They both looked over at you and you saw them both smile and chuckle. They walked over to you and took your luggage from under your arms. You said a little thank you but then noticed Ruka, Aidou and Kain go ahead of you with your own luggage and theirs.

"Oh my! I am so sorry you guys! I was planning to go back and get those suitcases!" You started apologising to them all.

"Don't worry about it, I didn't want to have to spend the day watching you go back and forth for suitcases." Aidou sighed and then they went out of sight. You sighed and chuckled.

You looked at Kaname and Zero as they stood beside you. You started off with your suitcases they hadn't taken and carried on into the dorm.

You entered the huge double doors and memories came rushing back to you. The time when Aidou had attacked Yuuki when she came for answers from Kaname, you had walked in the same time Kaname had and you were thankful he had stopped Aidou when he did but it didn't stop you from also slapping Aidou. The time when they had Ichijos birthday party, the time when they had the formal gathering for his grandfather the senate, there were many more memories. You sighed and continued on.

You walked into the room everyone had left for you and smiled. It looked like your room at home. Upon closer inspection, the whole room look like it had been copied and pasted. You stood in the room bewildered. Then you noticed Kaname watching you in the doorway, "I take it everything is to your liking?"

"Kaname, this room is exactly like my room back at home." You told him, which made him chuckle in amusement.

"Yes, it is. I didn't want you getting home sick, so I brought the furniture new from the shops." He told you and you smiled at him.

"Thank you, you're so thoughtful."

"My room is at the end of the hall, I'll be there if you need me okay?"

"Okay."

You smiled watching him walk out and close the door. You turned to your bags and started to unpack. A couple minutes went past and the door knocked, you said a quick  'come in' and Ruka appeared. She came over to help you unpack and you smiled thankful for the help. She had also helped you pack before.

Three hours passed and you finally put away the last item you had brought with you. It took longer than expected because you and Ruka had been reminiscing about the past and the last time you were staying in the academy. She was relieved to be back just as much as you were but you couldn't help but feel something wasnt right. You couldn't pin point whether it was the memories of Rido weighing down all your other memories you had of the academy, or whether it was something still to come. With the senate trying to recruit Zero you couldn't help but feel apprehensive.

"You've been very quiet since we arrived. These three hours have been the most talkative you have been, is everything alright?" Ruka asked, you smiled at her.

"Yes, everything is alright. I've just been taking it all in. I've been getting used to the house and now I'm back here at the dorms, at home. It kind of feels surreal."

"I know what you mean. My lady, there is something I wish to tell you." Ruka stated and you looked at her worried. She hardly ever called you 'my lady', it kind of scared you a little.

"Ruka, is everything alright?"

"Everything is fine, I just need to get this off my chest. I know what you did for Yuuki and Takuma... Aidou told us they finally came clean to Kaname with your help. Kain and I wish to do the same thing. You see when Lord Rido inhabited Senri's body, he tried to attack me and Kain fought him off me. Ever since then, Kain and I have grown really close to each other. He even asked me to be with him... And I said yes. Kain and I are a couple, and we think Kaname should know too. You see, when two Vampires become a couple we feel it duty to tell our pure bloods if we serve them in a close range like we do for you and Kaname." Once she finally stopped you squealed and hugged her, "M-My Lady, is everything alright?!" 

You had caught Ruka off guard and you grabbed her shoulders detaching yourself from the hug, "Oh my god! Yes, everything is fine! I'm so happy for you both Ruka, of course I will help you tell Kaname." Ruka laughed at your reaction a little and nodded. She left you and found yourself alone. You sighed smiling at the peace and quiet. 

A knock echoed throughout your room and you called out as you made yourself presentable, "Come in!" You said and watched as the door opened. The one person you didn't want to see walked through the door. Your hand instantly went to grab onto your shrunken staff. "What are you doing here?" You asked trying to stay calm.

"Well you see, after the ball I was wondering where my answer to my question was?" He asked looking around your room. He started to inspect things and you gripped your staff more firmly.

"Your question?" You asked him and he looked over at you raising an eyebrow. "Are you really going to make me repeat myself? I really don't like it when I have to do that. It's such a pain." He scoffed at you and you narrowed your eyes at him.

"Why are you here? At the academy?" You ask him sternly as he 'tch'ed at you. He held his finger up at you with a no gesture, "I asked you a question first. Didn't Kaname teach you anything? Or maybe I should go ask Yuuki instead." He snickered walking towards the door and you pulled your staff on him. The axe was stopping him from walking further to the door. He turned around to you and smirked.

"You dare lay a hand on my sister and I-"

"What? What could you do? You don't even know how to work your own powers yet. You don't know anything like I do about Purebloods. Even if I am a half pureblood like my little half brother I still have the pureblood genes in me. I do carry certain abilities and privileges, it sickens me how Senri does not take up his training with the senate and use them." He told you and you're eyes widened by the second. He knew everything but how? Everyone but a select few thought you and Yuuki had your powers under control.

"And it seems you don't know pureblood etiquette. Do not speak so lowly to me." You grew angry and he chuckled. He grabbed onto your staff disarming you in the process of pulling you towards him. He then used the staff to cage you in with the staff horizontally at the back of you.

"You may be a pureblood by nature but I am a pureblood for the taking. My father always made sure I knew what or who I could be. And, I have two girls for the taking. I wonder who will win." You looked at him horrified. The door opened and your staff hit the floor and Quentin was no longer in front of you. He had just vanished in thin air. There was not a single trace of him.

You looked to the door and found Aidou looking at you. He looked around the room and he walked over to you, he grabbed ahold of your staff as you stared at your hand. Quentin had disarmed you so quickly, yet your grip on the staff had been certainly tight. You couldn't understand how he had done it so quickly, or maybe you were underestimating his strength or overestimating your own.

Aidou placed the staff against the wall gently and then stood in front of you. He didn't know what had happened or whether to touch you with the frightened expression you wore. "Lady Elissa?" He asked, it was softly to not startle you. You looked at him, "Yes Aidou? What's the matter?"

"Don't worry about that at the minute.. What's wrong with you? You look like you just seen a ghost." He asked you and you wondered whether to tell him or not. You figured it wouldn't hurt to tell him, "Quentin was just in here..." you told him, he tensed up at the name.

"I thought I could sense another vampire in here before," He mumbled, he started to study the rooms layout then. "What did he want?" Aidou asked you, his tone had gotten stern. "He threatened Yuuki and I." You let it slip and he widened his eyes.

"We have to tell Kaname." Aidou instantly went for the door but you stopped him. "We have to go now!" Aidou fought you but you weren't giving up. "Aidou stop for one second! If Kaname knew he would take us back to the house and put us under house arrest again! Yuuki is so excited to be back and Kaname won't stop worrying if he knew!" You told him but you both were as stubborn as each other. You whipped around and closed the door before Aidou could get out. You pointed at him and your two index fingers made contact with his forehead, "I swear you to secrecy about this Aidou. You will not tell a soul about this until I say you can." You told him and he stood still.

You saw the spell work on him and he groaned in frustration, "Why did you do that for?!"

"I'm not worrying anyone about this yet Aidou. It could just be nothing."

"A threat towards one pureblood isn't nothing, let alone two! You both could be in serious danger Elissa!"

"Listen, he hasn't shown up to Yuuki yet. If he does, then I'll consider talking to Kaname but for now.. Let me handle this Aidou and trust me please."

You heard his sigh and knew he had given up. You opened the door and he walked out as you walked over to your staff and shrunk it back down. You sighed as you had calmed down a bit.

You walked out of your room for some fresh air. You could see Zero watching you and as you walked out the dorm doors he joined you. You both walked side by side to the school grounds as it would be empty now. You looked around, the academy really hadn't changed even after it got rebuilt.

"You're acting weird." Zero spoke up and gained your attention. You stared at him for a second, "How am I acting weird?" You asked and he stared back at you.

"You're too quiet." He was right, you knew that but you weren't letting anyone in on what happened with Quentin after how Aidou reacted.

"I'm just taking it all in. Moving out and then coming back.. It sort of takes it out of you." You explained and he nodded.

"I guess. I'm going to go check on Lilly." Zero said walking off ahead of you. You smiled at him, it felt like the old times and you loved that. "Hey wait for me! You're not seeing that horse without me!" You yelled running after him.

So here it is. I'm really sorry about this taking so long to arrive. I have finished my Univerisity course for the year and have some free time on my hands so I will most likely be more active on wattpad.

I have been feeling a little anxious with lockdown so that has affected my publishing times too. Other than the coursework and the university stress.

Thank you everyone who is still sticking with me through this Vampire Knight book though. I'm hoping that you'll continue to stick with me and continue the journey on with me throughout this book. I'm looking forward to seeing what you guys thought of this chapter.
