Chapter Eleven

You were coming back from class. Kaname was beside you as usual, Yuuki and Ichijo were beside you. Aidou, Ruka & Kain were all behind you four. As for Zero, he was strolling behind everyone keeping a distance from them. The only vampire he tolerated was you and a little of Yuuki. Apparently Yuuki had fallen out with Zero as his disrespect towards Kaname was getting too much for her. She was getting a little annoyed with you too cause you have been spending time with Zero more than anyone.

You felt Kaname put his arm around your waist leading you astray from the others. You looked up to him surprised but you didn't question his actions. You looked over to Yuuki who smiled and waved at you. You waved back a little and noticed that Zero was watching you both walk away. You smiled a little at him and he looked away.

Kaname took you to the fountain and you smiled, it was your favourite place to refuel when you were human. "Elissa, has everything been alright lately? You've been distant and it's not just me that's noticed." Kaname asked you softly sitting down next to you on the fountains edge.

"I'm fine, I've just been taking it all in. It's a big change again, I've only just been getting used to the house and we're back here. I don't mean to be distant." You say and you knew full well you had been distant. Ever since Quentin had disappeared from your bedroom you had been guarding  Yuuki a lot more. You even had Aidou guarding her even if Ichigo was with her. You weren't taking chances.

"Elissa.." Kaname pulled you back to reality. You looked over at him and he smiled softly, knowing something was bothering you. "What is it? What's got you thinking with such a stern look on your face?" He asked you gently and you shook your head. 

"Nothing, I was just thinking of going to see the headmaster." You said and he nodded. He stood up and offered his hand to you. You smiled and took it. He started walking with you hand in hand, he was holding yours rather tightly and it made you feel protected. "Kaname, can you sleep in my room tonight?" You suddenly asked and he looked down at you a little surprised.

"If that is what you wish for, but may I ask why?" 

"I just feel a little uneasy today, I'd rather just have someone with me that's all." You said, in truth you were a little scared of when Quentin would return, and what he would do when he does. 

You both arrived at the dorms main entrance and walked inside to see the front room not so busy. You didn't think it weird as the vampires usually slept in the day for the night classes. You and Kaname saw Takuma and Aidou sitting across from one another. You both walked over to them, Kaname took a seat on an armchair holding your hand gracefully as usual.

"Where is Yuuki?" You asked staring at Takuma. You were hoping he was going to say something about her being on a walk with Zero or something.

"She's sleeping in her room." Takuma said and then sensed your uneasiness. Aidou knew what you were thinking when you made eye contact with him.

"I'll be back soon, I'm just going to check on her." You excused yourself quickly rushing up the stairs. Once you were out of sight you ran straight to her bedroom door. You found it locked which was very odd, usually her room was always unlocked. Maybe she wanted her privacy from the other vampires? You knocked on the door and waited for any movement in there. You couldn't hear any movement but you sensed a presence in there. That's what scared you. You couldn't tell who or how many were in there. You definitely didn't want to cause a scene and worry Yuuki either.

"Yuuki?!" You tried to get contact with her from the other side of the door. "Come on Yuuki, open the door." You said twisting the door knob to try and open. You sighed in frustration, starting to channel your power to get the door to shift or open. You then found yourself being pulled forward by a hand on your wrist. You let a squeal out as you were focused with your powers and you were not expecting the door to open.

You looked back at the door and saw it closed again and locked back to who you thought was your sister but wasn't.

"It really does amaze me, the sisterly bond you two have." Quentin smirked down at you and you went to instantly grab your shrunken axe to which he prevented by grabbing a hold of your wrist. "I wouldn't do that. You don't want to wake the sleeping beauty would you?" He whispered to you and you narrowed your eyes as he stepped away for you to see your sister sleeping soundly in her bed. You sighed of relief to see she was in one piece and seemed to be alright.

You stared at Quentin as you passed him to go check on her. Once you got to the bed you placed your hand on her forehead. "What are you expecting to find? I haven't touched her if you're worried about that." Quentin remarked at you and you glared at him.

"What are you doing in here then?" You asked and he chuckled. "I believe I told you before, I have two purebloods for the taking." He stated and it infuriated you.

"Correction, you have no purebloods for the taking as we are not objects. We are people. People with relationships already." You told him sternly and he sighed.

"Ah, I wouldn't be so sure. Anything can change after all." He whispered to you and vanished just like he did in your room. It wasn't until a hand came over your mouth preventing you from screaming or talking that made you start fighting or trying to fight at least. "You see, I've already chosen who I want. So how about we go?"

At those words you were trying to scream as loudly as possible but it just came out muffled. Yuuki started to stir and you had hoped she would open her eyes so she could scream for Kaname instead. You moved your head furiously trying to shake the hand preventing you from making words. His hand came off for a brief second at the struggling and you screamed. You then thought of Aidou, he was under your mind control with preventing him telling Kaname about Quentin. Surely there had to be a way to get the message to him he needed help.

You started mustering all the energy you could to tap into your powers to free him from your spell and make a link to him. Quentin didn't seem best pleased by your actions trying to tap into your powers. It wasn't until then you felt a sharp pain in your neck and you lost your focus trying to break from him. He was just like his father and it revolted you to be in this situation. You just hoped that the mind link worked.

Not even a second later the door flew off its hinges and Kaname was stood in the door frame with Aidou and Takuma behind him. Yuuki screamed at the loud impact and noticed your predicament. She instantly went for her staff too, "Yuuki, leave this room immediately. I do not wish you to see this side of me. Aidou take her to safety, and do not let her out of your sight." Kaname said sternly.

Everything then went black as you fell limp in Quentin's arms calling for Kaname to save you.
