Chapter - 13
Recap: Yashvi feel the mate bond and kiss Agastya.
*****************
Agastya grunted in satisfaction, feeling the warmth of Yashvi's soft lips against his. She tasted divine to him and he couldn't get enough of her. Wrapping his arms around her waist, he pulled her body flushing against his, needing more of her. But as Yashvi felt something hard against her abdomen, she instantly snapped out of the moment. Her eyes flew open, seeing Agastya completely lost in the kiss. Panic surged through her and she backed away abruptly.
Agastya groaned in frustration at the sudden distance but as he noticed Yashvi's distressed expression, his mind jolted back to reality.
"Yashvi, we need to talk. Please, calm down." he said, his voice steady.
Yashvi shook her head, panic filling her chest. She turned away from him, ready to run away, but Agastya's hand shot out, catching her wrist. She gasped, feeling an electric spark shoot through her at his touch. Her eyes widened, and though she tried to pull away, something in his touch soothed her. Yet her mind was at war, a conflicted between the chaos inside her heart and body.
Agastya's voice softened,"Yashvi, I know what you're thinking, and I promise you'll get the answers you need. Please, just calm down and let me explain. I'll help you through this."
He gently tugged her toward the couch, seating her down while maintaining a careful distance between them. With a subtle gesture, Agastya created an invisible bubble around them, ensuring they wouldn't be disturbed.
"Baby," Agastya began, his tone thoughtful. "Do you remember the story about the king and his human mate?"
Yashvi frowned, her brow furrowed in confusion. "I think we have more important things to discuss right now, Agastya. A story doesn't make sense at this moment."
"It makes perfect sense, Yashvi," Agastya insisted. "Just... tell me this. If you were the human girl in that story, and you discovered you were the soul mate of a supernatural being, someone whose entire existence depended on you, whose strength and weakness you were, what would you do? And before you answer, let me remind you... this king has been waiting for 2,000 years just for you."
Yashvi looked at him, his deep eyes filled with emotion she couldn't yet decipher. There was vulnerability in his gaze that unsettled her.
"If he had been waiting for me that long, sure I would give him a chance. But not before punishing him for hiding the truth. No matter the reason, living a lie all those years wouldn't be excusable." Yashvi replied, her voice measured.
Agastya sighed, relief flooding through him. Maybe he could get through to her after all. He shifted slightly closer, his fingers brushing against hers as he gently intertwined them.
"I know you feel something when I touch you," he murmured softly looking at her.
"And before I explain why, let me remind you of something else." His gaze turned serious. "Do you remember the eyes you once drew? The ones you thought were imaginary?"
Yashvi gulped, her heart pounding as she looked into his eyes. Fear flickered through her, but Agastya immediately cupped her cheeks, his touch sending a wave of calm over her.
"You don't have to be scared, my touch, it will make you feel the safest you've ever been. Don't be afraid, baby. I'm Agastya, and... I'm your mate." he whispered, his voice reassuring.
Yashvi's breath hitched as she shot to her feet, stepping back in disbelief. "What are you saying? I'm... how could I be your mate? What does that even mean?" Her voice trembled as realization began to dawn. "Wait... Does that mean you're... Oh my god. Are you... Are you a supernatural being?"
Agastya stood, moving toward her carefully. "I'm Agastya, Vampire king and those eyes you drew? They're mine." he said, voice steady.
Yashvi gasped as the shock overwhelmed her senses, and she fainted in Agastya's arms. He caught her instantly, holding her close as he gently laid her down on the bed. His fingers brushed her forehead softly, trying to soothe her.
"I know it's a lot to handle but I'm here. I'll help us through this. Just trust me... trust your instincts. Don't give up on us." Agastya murmured, his voice filled with tenderness.
He sprinkled water on her face and Yashvi stirred, slowly opening her eyes. As soon as she saw Agastya, her breath quickened and she sat up startled.
"You're not afraid of me, can we talk now? Really talk? I'll answer all your questions." Agastya said softly.
Yashvi blinked at him, confusion and disbelief clouding her face. "Why? How could I be your mate? There has to be some mistake." she asked, her voice trembling.
Agastya sighed, knowing how impossible it sounded. "I was just as surprised as you, Yashvi. Shocked, even. But it's the truth. We're destined to be together. You are my queen."
"How can I be your queen? Please... this doesn't make any sense." she protested, shaking her head in disbelief.
She got off the bed, intending to leave, but before she could take a step, Agastya appeared before her, blocking her way. She froze, startled.
"Weren't you just sitting on the bed? How...how did you get here so fast?" she asked, her voice laced with panic.
"Vampires move at extreme speed, I have powers, Yashvi. Powers I'll explain to you in time. But think about it, how were you able to draw my eyes if you weren't my mate?" he explained calmly.
Yashvi's confusion deepened. "Your eyes?" she repeated. "But your eyes look... normal. Like any human's. This has to be some kind of prank, Agastya. Let's just go home."
Agastya wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her close. He closed his eyes and when he opened them again, Yashvi gasped in wonder. His eyes had changed, glowing with an ethereal light, a mesmerizing golden ring around his pupils. She couldn't resist, her hand reached out of its own accord to touch his cheek, a small smile forming on her lips.
"Who are you?" she whispered, awe in her voice. "Are you really a vampire? Tell me I'm hallucinating."
Agastya leaned in, gently pecking the tip of her nose. The simple touch sent a wave of warmth and desire coursing through her.
"You were jealous, when your teacher flirted with me. That possessiveness you felt, it was the mate bond, Yashvi. That night, you wanted me to move on, find another woman... but you cried because you couldn't stand the thought of me with anyone else. That's how the bond works." he murmured against her lips his breathe fanning her plump ones.
He paused, letting his words sink in before continuing. "And remember the dream you had... about the mark on your waist burning?"
Yashvi frowned, recalling the dream from years ago. She had almost forgotten it, but the memory was still vivid.
"What does that dream mean?" she asked hesitantly.
"It wasn't a dream, your mark burned for real, Yashvi. A woman... she tried to throw herself at me when I wasn't expecting it." Agastya explained.
Yashvi's eyes flashed with anger, her teeth gritted. Agastya could feel her fury seeping into him.
"You don't need to be angry, I didn't let her take advantage of me. I would never betray you." he said softly, reading her emotions as clearly as if they were his own.
Yashvi's mouth fell open in shock, her thoughts reeling. "How did you...?" she began, but Agastya cut her off with a gentle smile.
"I can hear your thoughts, Yashvi. I can hear your mind voice. And soon, you'll hear mine too. We'll be able to speak through it, what we call a mindlink. It will happen after we... mate."
Yashvi blushed furiously at the mention of mating, and Agastya chuckled, rubbing her back as she coughed in embarrassment.
He continued, his voice gentle, "I know this is a lot but the more you fight the bond, the more we'll both suffer. Today... today was destined for you to learn the truth. I had to keep my identity hidden until you were ready. To keep you safe from my enemies."
Yashvi stared at him, her mind racing. "What happens now? If you're a king, where's your kingdom?"
"Blackgore, deep in the forest, far from the human world. We have everything there, technology, facilities, even witches, just like in the stories you've read. I'm the king of the vampires, Yashvi." Agastya answered her.
Yashvi's heart raced as she looked at him, her mind struggling to process his words. "Will you let me know everything now? If not, just walk away. I can't keep living a lie anymore."
Agastya's gaze was serious, his grip on her hands tightening slightly. "Promise me you won't reveal this secret to anyone at any cost. This is between you and me, unless I decide to tell someone myself."
"I promise," Yashvi said, her voice barely above a whisper. Agastya held her palms tightly, his eyes locking onto hers, searching for truth.
And then he dropped the bombshell. "I'm the demon king too."
Yashvi blinked in disbelief, her breath hitching as she struggled to absorb the weight of his revelation. "The demon king , What does that even mean?" her echoed, her voice trembling
Agastya nodded, his expression unwavering. "It means that I have powers beyond what you can imagine. I share my body with Agas, the demon who is also part of me. Together, we're stronger than you think."
Yashvi took a step back, her mind racing with the implications. "You... you can't be serious."
"I am, and I need you to understand the truth about me, about us." he replied, his tone gentle but firm.
Yashvi fainted again, her body going limp in Agastya's arms. He caught her just in time, bringing her back to her senses. As she regained consciousness, panic surged within her, and she instinctively tried to back away. But Agastya pulled her close, allowing Agas to take over.
As her vision cleared, Yashvi looked up and saw Agas's eyes shift to a pitch black, the pupils glowing red with a yellow flame.
"Hello, Yashvi, I'm Agas, the demon king to everyone else, but to you, I'm your mate, my love. Just like Agastya, I fell deeply in love with you the instant we found you. I've been waiting all these years for you, my queen." Agas said, his voice smooth and enchanting.
Yashvi blinked, her mind racing with questions. "What... what does that even mean?"
Agas smiled softly, sensing her confusion. "We share the same body, and I'm the king of hell."
Yashvi's throat felt dry, and she struggled to process everything. "Will you... will you kill me if you're hungry?"
Agas chuckled gently, his grip softening as he kissed her eyes. "No, my love. Demons feed on thoughts, fears, and emotions. In rare cases, we might feed on flesh, but don't worry. You are my mate and I will protect you with my whole being. Agastya wanted to take over, but I'll meet you again soon probably with a kiss, next time."
With that, Agas relinquished control back to Agastya, his eyes returning to their normal hue. Agastya smiled at Yashvi, who was still reeling from the revelations. It was as if all the stories she had read had come to life, filling her with a mix of wonder and fear.
"What powers does your demon possess?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
"He's more ruthless than I am, he can teleport, erase memories, and perform magic. In fact, the place we're in doesn't exist in reality. To the common people, it's just a bushy land, but to us, it's a beautiful garden created by Agas's magic." Agastya replied, his tone serious.
"Everything is magic? Shall we return home now?" Yashvi asked, her heart racing.
Agastya shook his head. "No, baby. People are looking for you. You unknowingly brought danger upon you by drawing me so we need to stay here until you're ready to leave for Blackgore with me."
"Why should I leave the human world? I don't think your people will accept a human as their queen so you better.." she protested.
Agastya's expression hardened. "Don't you dare let that sentence finish, Yashvi. You are my mate, and only you will be my mate. No one dares to go against the king. You don't have to worry about anyone. I'll protect you."
She looked away, overwhelmed. "What about Aashi? Nadhiya aunty?"
Agastya smiled softly. "Aashi is my sister, the princess of Blackgore. And Nadhiya... she's a witch from our kingdom."
Yashvi gaped at him. "A princess... served as a nanny to me?"
"She was serving her queen," Agastya said, brushing a strand of hair from Yashvi's face. "Everyone in the kingdom is bound to serve the king and the queen. And you, Yashvi, you are my queen."
Yashvi's breath caught in her throat. "Is this... is this real? Or is it just because of the mate bond?"
"The mate bond is powerful, it's like love at first sight. But even before the bond, I cared for you deeply. When you started feeling it, I had to control myself. I even gave you potions to calm your desires." Agastya admitted.
Yashvi blushed, turning away from him in embarrassment. "Potions ? for what?" she mumbled.
Agastya leaned in, his lips brushing her ear. "For the dreams you had about us... making love."
Her face turned crimson as she recalled those vivid dreams. Agastya hugged her from behind, kissing her collarbone softly.
"I was there, Yashvi, in your dreams. You were so beautiful... and those moans of yours, they drove me crazy. I could smell your arousal even now, baby." he whispered.
Yashvi let out a shaky moan as his lips traveled to her ear, sending shivers down her spine.
"Agastya..." she breathed.
