Recap: Agastya train Yashvi to defend herself in emergency situtaion.
*******************
Agastya had spent weeks training Yashvi in fighting and self-defense and to his delight she was a quick learner. Though he would never leave her alone, he wanted her to be prepared for any outcome when they returned to the palace. Today, as he waited near the door for her to come out for school, a sense of pride filled him.
Yashvi stepped out with a radiant smile that immediately caught his attention. He couldn't take his eyes off her, lost in the sight, until Nadhiya's polite cough broke his trance. Nadhiya handed Yashvi a lunch box with a gentle smile.
"Agastya, today we have a Founder's Day celebration, so I'll be late coming home," Yashvi said, her voice bright and full of excitement.
Agastya nodded, smiling at her, "No problem, baby. I'll wait for you outside the premises. By the way, what do you want for your 18th birthday?"
Without missing a beat, Yashvi replied eagerly, "I want an iPhone, just like yours! My friends have all got the latest one, and I still haven't."
"Sure I'll buy that for you." Agastya said, amused by her enthusiasm.
Yashvi squealed in joy and darted out of the house toward the car, her excitement palpable. Agastya chuckled as he watched her, then turned to Kaala, one of his trusted allies, and gave a serious command. "Keep a close watch around her today. Be cautious."
By evening, Kaala's voice echoed in his mind. Instinctively, Agastya teleported to the school, remaining invisible to others.
"Your Highness, the Chief Guest today is the Alpha King, he might sense the queen's presence among the students. He could easily differentiate her." Kaala informed him with urgency.
Agastya cursed under his breath. "Fucking werewolf... Why does he have to meddle in human affairs, and now as a chief guest? Damn him."
Not taking any chances, Agastya swiftly muttered a spell under his breath. Yashvi, unknowingly compelled by his magic, began to walk away from her friends toward a secluded corridor. Agastya watched warily as the Alpha King's demeanor shifted, his nose twitching as if sensing something. Before the werewolf could focus his gaze on Yashvi, Agastya acted. In the blink of an eye, Yashvi vanished from the school grounds and appeared safely in their home, now lying fast asleep on the bed.
Hours later, Yashvi woke up, groggy and confused. She looked around the room, surprised to find herself home instead of at the school event.
Agastya handed her a glass of water, watching her closely. She sipped slowly, trying to make sense of what had happened. "Agastya... How did I end up at home? I remember walking onto the grounds for the Founder's Day event."
"You passed out, It's a good thing I was waiting for you outside. One of the staff called me, and I rushed to get you. The doctor said you need complete rest for two days." Agastya said, his voice calm and reassuring.
"Two days? But I was supposed to receive a prize for winning the drawing competition." Yashvi exclaimed, her expression shifting to disappointment.
Agastya frowned slightly. "Drawing competition? You never mentioned that to me." He gave her a comforting smile. "Don't worry, I'll talk to the principal and collect the prize for you."
Yashvi's face fell further. "But I want to be at school. It's my birthday in two days."
Agastya's expression softened. "How about we go somewhere special to celebrate your birthday? I know a place you'll love. I'll pack your things, and we can leave tomorrow." he offered.
Her mood brightened at the suggestion and she nodded eagerly before heading to the kitchen for a snack. Meanwhile, Agastya went to pack her suitcase, carefully folding her clothes. As he reached for one of her more intimate garments, his hands froze. Desire surged unexpectedly, tightening his body. With a growl of frustration, he stuffed the items into the trolley, forcing his thoughts away from the wild urge rising within him. He clenched his fists, trying to control the primal instinct that pulsed through him.
"Two more days, and I'll make sure everything is settled between us." Agastya muttered to himself, his jaw tight.
In the mansion of the Alpha King, he sat across from Harsha, staring at the drawing laid before them. Harsha examined it closely before glancing at Daini, who sat quietly beside them.
"This picture... it looks like Agastya in his vampire form," Daini said, her voice calm but laced with concern. "It's impossible for a human girl to draw a vampire and not just any vampire, but a king who actually exists."
The Alpha King leaned back in his chair, eyes dark with disbelief. "I was just as shocked when I saw it. I wanted to meet the girl who drew this, but she disappeared. She was supposed to receive an award, but the staff couldn't find her."
Harsha's brow furrowed as he spoke, "We need to find her and figure out how she knows Agastya. What if she's the reincarnation of the human woman ? Or maybe a descendant of her ? If she is, then I will kill her to break the curse on the vampires."
The Alpha King sighed, troubled. "I've already sent my beta and a witch to her home to gather information. But how can we confirm if she's the one we're looking for?"
Daini spoke quietly, her tone thoughtful. "If she is the one, danger will follow. Her husband, the former vampire king, might also have reincarnated by now. He could be any supernatural being, or even a human. If he has returned, it won't be easy for us to kill her."
The Alpha King's face hardened. "I agreed to this because I want to keep my people safe. I won't have some crazed vampire king rampaging through our lands in search of blood."
Daini and Harsha exchanged a discreet look, nodding in agreement. Moments later, the Alpha King's beta entered the room, bowing before him.
"Your highness, we visited the girl's home, but she wasn't there and we detected traces of witch magic around the place." the beta reported.
Harsha clenched his jaw. "She's the one we're looking for. But who's protecting her with witchcraft?"
Daini stood, brushing off her robes. "We should return to our respective places. Things are falling into place, and soon we'll know how to act."
Harsha and Daini left the palace, while the beta hesitated, turning to the Alpha King with concern.
"My lord, what if we're on the wrong side? We could be walking into a trap."
The Alpha King looked out a nearby window, his expression unreadable. "My people come first. We won't interfere unless necessary. There will not be any threat if they get to find the human girl and kill her else they might choose to quench their thirst for blood."
The beta remained silent, absorbing the Alpha King's words. The Alpha King added, "As for my daughter, she will find her mate and remain queen. The right one will come for her, and he will understand his role in saving and fighting for our people. We will join hands with anyone who seeks peace among us, and if that is Agastya, then we shall do so."
A smirk crossed the Alpha King's face as he walked away, leaving his beta stunned by the magnitude of his plans.
Meanwhile, Agastya stood with Yashvi, removing her blindfold to reveal a beautiful scene before her, a clearing in their flower farm, where a picnic had been set up to enjoy the sunset.
"Are we celebrating my birthday here, Agastya?" Yashvi asked, her voice filled with excitement.
Agastya smiled gently. "Yes, baby. But I have another place in mind for later. For now, shall we enjoy the snacks?"
Yashvi laughed. "Of course! But I thought we'd leave tomorrow after cutting the cake at midnight."
Agastya chuckled. "You don't turn 18 at midnight, baby. You'll be 18 at exactly 8 a.m. the time you were born."
Yashvi pouted playfully and plopped down on the picnic blanket, pulling Agastya beside her. They dug into the snacks, laughing and chatting about nothing in particular. Agastya couldn't help but be mesmerized by her every smile, her laughter lighting up the entire space.
Later, Agastya crafted a flower wreath for her, decorating the cottage with blooms that matched her favorites. That night, they returned to their rooms, Yashvi filled with excitement for her birthday while Agastya's heart raced with nerves. He knew that soon, he would have to reveal the truth about himself, about their bond. The mate bond was becoming harder to resist and he prayed the Moon Goddess would be by his side when the time came.
The next morning, Agastya rose early, making a special breakfast for Yashvi. He gently shook her awake, smiling as she greeted the day with pure joy.
"Happy birthday, baby even though you've got two more hours until you officially turn 18, I have some serious gifts and a discussion waiting for you." Agastya said softly.
Yashvi squealed with excitement, rushing to get ready. She came out in a beautiful dress he had gifted her, but Agastya noticed a sheen of sweat on her face.
Handing her the new iPhone she had asked for, Agastya smiled. "Here's your first gift."
Yashvi hugged him excitedly but then suddenly pulled back, her expression confused. Agastya felt the sparks between them but stayed silent, knowing the changes had already begun in her. She quickly opened the phone, adding her friends' numbers along with Agastya's and Nadhiya's, while he served breakfast.
As the morning passed, Yashvi began to notice a strange aura around her, a new fragrance in the air that wasn't from the flowers around them. When she stepped outside, the scent faded, but it returned when she went back into the cottage, growing stronger with each moment.
Finally, at 8 a.m., Agastya wished her a happy birthday and urged her to cut the cake. Yashvi's hands trembled as she sliced the cake, her entire body feeling as if it were on fire, the strange fragrance enveloping her senses. She picked up a piece of cake to feed Agastya, but the moment her fingers brushed his lips, she froze, feeling a spark shoot through her entire body.
Her heart raced, and everything around them disappeared as she gazed at him. Agastya could sense her turmoil but he didn't stop her. Instead, he picked up a piece of cake and gently fed her, his fingers grazing her lips. Yashvi closed her eyes, her body overwhelmed by the bond and an involuntary moan escaped her lips.
Agastya cupped her cheek in his palm and Yashvi looked lost in his eyes. She felt a pull in his eyes and leaning close to him she pecked his lips feeling a strange sense of wanting more of him but when she realized what had just happened, Yashvi gasped, covering her mouth with her hand. Tears filled her eyes as she backed away from him. "What the hell did I just do?"
Agastya moved closer, speaking softly. "Calm down, Yashvi. We need to talk."
"No, no, no!" Yashvi cried, panicked. "I just kissed you... how could I do that? You're the age of my father! What's wrong with me? I'm sorry, Agastya, I didn't mean for this to happen."
"Baby, there's nothing wrong with you," Agastya said gently.
Yashvi shook her head frantically. "No, I'm crazy! I kissed you... and now, how do we live under the same roof after this? Will you abandon me? Maybe I should just die."
At those words, Agastya's temper flared. He cupped her face in his hands, forcing her to meet his gaze. "Stop this, Yashvi. There's nothing wrong with you."
But instead of calming down, the mate bond overwhelmed Yashvi, her arms wrapping around his neck as she kissed him again this time with desperation. She tugged at his hair, seeking entrance to his mouth, her soft moans filling the space around them.
