Clover's POV

I scream as loud as I could, stumbling backward, falling onto the floor. Their faces flash through my mind as I attempt to look away from their dead bodies.

My heart pumps and I feel my throat closing in. I gasp for air, the tears rolling down my cheeks.

"Clover, what's wrong?" Dominic and Olive come to my side and I attempt to speak but I can only get out one word.

"P-pa-parents." I stutter, crying out. I scramble away from the bodies, them still facing me. I hide my eyes behind Dominic, crying into his shoulder.

But then, suddenly, everything happened at once. The door slams open revealing the scientists and the twins. They don't look surprised that we're here like they knew we were coming. Next thing I know, I'm get pulled up onto my feet and face them.

"So you found their bodies eh? We dug them out of that heartfelt grave you made with your brother and kept them here." The woman smirks when she sees my state and the open wall behind us. My throat gives out a growling sound.

"How could you! Why would you do that?!" I scream and attempt to make a grab at her but Dominic still has his grasp on me.

"Oh darling, we're evil. We're supposed to do those things." The woman cackles and I fight for my brother to let go but he has a firm grip on me. "Twin takes these people out, will you. Or at least make them give up so that we capture them."

The twins get into their stances and as they do, so does the fight club. "This shouldn't be too hard." One of the twins say.

"Defence. You know what to do!" Rebecca shouts to her group as one of the twins fire. A leafy wall comes up in front of everyone, blocking the power.

"Attacking. Do your job!" I shout weakly to my group, still trying to keep standing.

The twins kept trying to shoot at us but Rebecca's defense group were making sure that no one got hurt. Even when they tried to direct the power balls at singular people, they would still put up some sort of defense.

Olive, who rushed over to me when I screamed, slowly tiptoes towards the side of the room. Both me and Dominic give her a look and she smiles before turning around.

"Olive! What are you doing?!" I whisper to her as she walks away from me. She ignores me and continues walking while chaos happens in front of us.

Because of everything going on, the Scientists don't spot Olive creeping towards the side of the room. I spot where she's going, towards a metal box that should contain electricity wires.

"Clover, you need to help your group," Dominic tells me and I walk towards the front so the scientists could see me.

"Look, the vampire has finally found the courage to face us." The male scientist says and I glare at the pair. The twins stop shooting at the fight club and everyone falls silent.

Olive, out the corner of my eye, carries on walking, not being spotted by anyone. I try to ignore her the best I can so that the scientists don't find out about her.

"Why are you doing this? All the people that you have treated here are in pain because of you!" I tell them and their expressions don't change.

"And? We want to know the wonders of this world. And collecting strange people like Robyn here and the twins will be our map. We're so close to getting to the end of this journey!" The male scientist says in wonder while the twins smile triumphantly.

"You and your fight club are stopping us from making history. We might find the cure to world problems! Heck, you're the bad guys here! We're the ones who are trying to save humanity!"

"You kill the people that you 'collect'. They kill themselves because they rather be dead than be a science project." Robyn screams and they glare at her.

"What about those signs on your wrist Robyn? Have you looked at them recently?" The woman turns her attention to Robyn. "Have you forgotten that you're a human? You don't belong in this world!" She yells at her and Robyn flinches.

"I belong here." She says but her voice is so quiet that it makes her sound weak. A laugh comes from the woman's mouth.

"Oh darling, you will never belong here. Stop kidding yourself that you will. You're just a creepy girl who can create portals into another world." The woman cackles and Robyn steps back effected by her words.

"As for this girl," The male scientists says and for a moment we don't understand what he means until he shoots out his hand towards Olive and creates a knife in his palm. Before anyone can react, he sends the knife hurdling towards Olive which stabs her in the chest.

Her eyes widen as she stares down at the knife and then back at us. Blood trickles out of her chest. She crumbles to the ground, her body going limp. "Well, she tried her best, didn't she. Let's add her to the list of people I've killed?"

"Olive!" Dominic shouts and runs over to her. He takes her into her arms and searches for a pulse. His face shows his fear as he frantically reaches up to her neck. I watch him grab her face and attempt to talk to her but I don't move. I can't move.

"Please talk to me Olive. Don't leave me. Please!" He begs but he gets no response. The tears pour down his cheeks as he continues to shake her lifeless body. "Olive!" His voice breaks as he cries out.

"Now, this is boring. I hate all this lovey-dovey stuff, it annoys the heck out of me. Let's just stop everyone." The woman says and points her hand towards everyone, freezing us. I can't move anything. My feet are frozen to the ground.

"Why didn't you just do that earlier when we weren't risking our lives?" One of the twins asks.

"Oh, I've got to have a bit of fun every once in a while. Right, boys and Stuart, take care of the whole group and put them into one big cell. Including the dead girl. Vampire, I'm taking you with me."

Dominic's POV

"All of you stay here and don't cause any trouble" One of the twins glare at us and leave the massive room they shoved us into. I still hold Olive in my arms, blood streaming from her chest.

My hands shake as I rest her down on the floor. "S-Simon?" I stutter.

"Dominic, we'll make her better again." He takes her limp body from my hands and goes into action. And just like that, I feel the same feeling I had when I was younger.

The feeling that you're so helpless and that all you can do is just watch and pray that they will get better. And the feeling that you would do anything to be in their place. I've felt that too many times before in my life.

And the feeling like it was all your fault. I should've been the one who tried to destroy the power. Or at least, I should've gone with Olive so I could've guarded her. She didn't have to do it on her own. And now she might die on her own and it'll be all my fault.

I watch the healing group scramble towards her, shouting out names and powers that could possibly make her alive again. At one point I nearly break when I hear the word 'defibrillator' and ended up having to walk away because I couldn't watch them work anymore.

I sit on the floor, my back away from the healers. After a while, it goes quiet and I my heart stops. Someone taps on my shoulder and I shudder, turning around instantly. I become face to face with Simon who looks like he's been sweating.

"Dom, she's going to be ok." He says and I get up and scramble towards where they were working. I come beside her body and grab her hand. Simon comes beside me and rests his hand on my shoulder. "She should be waking up soon. Mate, you're so love sick."

"Thank you. So much.......and shut up." I don't take my eyes off of her as I'm saying this.

The colour is now back in her face and the stab wound seemed to have completely disappeared from her chest. Simon walks away, leaving me alone with sleeping Olive. I suck in a breath. "Olive if you can hear me right now." I take her hand as I'm saying this.

"I want to tell you something. I like you. Not even that. I'm not even sure what my feelings are at this point. But, I've never felt so scared in my life when you fell with that knife in your chest. I-I didn't know if you were going to make it."

"The truth is, I should've told you this ages ago. But I didn't know how to say it and I was afraid that you would leave me. But I've realised that I care for you too much that I can't hide my feelings. But now I might not get a chance to tell you that, I-I love you."

"I love you too." My eyes snap open when I hear her voice, not realise I had even closed them. Olive smiles at me, her blue eyes staring deep into my soul. "Dominic, I love you."

Never have I ever been so happy in my life.

Anyway, hello my darlings! I hope you enjoyed this chapter, I certainly did. I know what I did to Olive was horrible but this brought Dominic and Olive closer together awweeee! Although it's a bit cringy but I adore Dominic and I'm so happy that he's found someone he LOVES.

I go back to hell on Wednesday and to be honest, I am actually terrified. I cannot stop thinking about the amount of pain I'm going to have to go through this year and ughhhh. Last year was awful so I'm praying that this year might have a bit of a turnaround.
