Clover's POV

I watch Robyn nervously. She whispers words to herself, hugging her knees and rocking back and forth. She's been like this for the past 15 minutes, flinching when anyone tries to touch her.

I look over to Olive and she sighs heavily and then locking eyesight with me. She scoots her body over to me, silently and then puts her mouth up to my ear.

"I'm really worried." Her voice shakes as she says it and I put my hand on her knee. She smiles at me and then focuses herself back at Robyn.

The teachers managed to move Robyn's limp body into a spare room, to get away from the crowds that had been watching. They thought about not allowing Robyn to do her performance in the dance competition but Robyn fought back. She hasn't said anything since.

"Don't you have your Hearing competition soon Clover?" Olive says loudly trying to get Robyn's attention. She peers at her silver watch on her hand. I look at my own and realise we only have 5 minutes till we have to go. I open my mouth to say something but I get interrupted.

"Guys, I have to do something. I have been made to do it. But I need to stop it." Robyn suddenly says and lifts her head up to look at us. She has tear marks down her face and her makeup that she put on at the start of the day has now smudged.

"Do you know how to stop it, Robyn?" I ask her and her dark eyes look at me.

"Yes. But I need to find the Headmistress. Do you know where she might be?" She asks, getting up slowly. We get up also, following after her.

"You could try looking for her in her office. I doubt she would be watching any competitions." Olive says and we head for the door. I grasp my hand firmly on the handle and open it. No one seems to be around and the hall is mostly quiet.

"Clover, I'm really sorry I can't watch you in your competition but I need to sort this out. I'll see you after to congratulate you." She winks at me and walks away. We watch her until she's out of sight.

"You ready?" I hear Olive say behind me and I turn to face her.

"Yes."

"Is Clover here?" A man asks and I put my hand up to say I'm coming. Olive grabs me by the shoulders and presses her forehead against mine. I smile at her sudden seriousness.

"You've got this!" She says and we both laugh. I wave her off and join the rest of the people in my competition. I don't recognise anyone and no one seems to be talking to each other. I take a deep breath and a teacher comes over to us.

"Everyone, follow me!" He says and we trail after him. I look at the playing field and it looks like a forest. Trees tower over the grass and in the middle of the playing field is levitated platforms in a circle.

"Oh boy," I say to myself, trying to take in the scenery. Many others around me are amazed as well.

"Ok, take your place in the coloured circle, corresponding to your badge." The teacher says and he walks away from us. I look down at my badge that had been pierced into my clothing and notice its an orange colour. I look around for its matching circle and find it in between a Red and a Pink circle.

I step on it and a blue shield goes up in front of me. I'm the first person to get into my circle so everyone know understands what's going to happen.

"WELCOME TO THE HEARING TESSSSTTTTTT!" Someone screams through a loud speaker once everyone gets onto their platform. A curtain goes up and a crowd watches us. I spot Olive cheering.

"CLOVER YOU CAN DO IT!!! WHOOO!" She screams louder than anyone else and I smile nervously at her. Everyone looks towards me, realising that I'm the 'Clover' that she's screaming about. A few people laugh.

"What is going to happen when the blue shield goes down is that a speaker will be calling your name somewhere is this forest. The goal is to find your own speaker before anyone else. Obviously, you will have to ignore the other speakers above yours." The speaker says. I suck my breath.

I didn't practice ignoring other sounds in the dorm room. I try not to worry and focus on what else the speaker is saying. "There will be a button on your speaker corresponding to your circle colour. Press that button first and you will win! Good luck! The race will start when the klaxon sounds."

It finishes and I watch others get into their ready position to run. I get ready also, not really sure what to do first.

Suddenly, a loud beep fills the whole arena and the blue shield goes down and I run out of my circle.

"Clover. Clover. Clover." My name hits my ears and I realise what they've done. They've used Friends and Families voices.

"Clover concentrate. Where is it coming from?" I say to myself and focus. I close my eyes and try to ignore the rest of the other voices.

"Clover. Clover. Clover."

Left. I turn towards the noise.

"Clover. Clover. Clover."

No. Slight right.

"Clover. Clover."

Straight ahead.

My eyes shoot open and I sprint as fast as I can towards the voices. Roots coming from the trees try to trip me up but I successfully jump over them.

"Clover. Clover"

Branches get tangled up in my hair and I try to squat them away before it slams back into my face.

"Clover!" The speaker sounds really loud now and I take a turn. Straight in front of me is a gray speaker with an Orange button on top of it.

"Clover! Clover! Clover!" I run up to the speak, beaming with joy until I feel a hard thing hit my foot. I fall over onto the ground, my face hitting the mud.

"No. I was so close." I say

But I still have a chance.

If I get up right now, I could still win this thing. I can do it.

I push my hands under me and get back up onto my feet. I stagger over to the speaker and slam my hand onto the button.

A loudspeaker signals the end of the and I put my hand up in the air. "I did it!"

Robyn's POV

"Why are you here....Robyn." The Head of the school stares me down. I shiver in my seat she ordered me to sit in.

"I need to tell you something. You may not believe me but you need to." I say and she looks at me with a straight face.

"Go on."

I tell her everything. From when I first got adopted to the last meet up with the twin boys. At times she looked like she thought I was insane. "For the safety of this school, you need everyone to evacuate," I say.

"Phone the boys."

"What?!" My eyes pop out of my skull. But she doesn't seem to be kidding.

"Phone the boys. Tell them to blow up the school at 3:00." She says and I gradually reach for my phone out of my pocket. I look up to the head and she crosses her arms.

I type in their phone number and it rings. She leans over and puts it on speaker then goes back to her original position.

"Hello." One of the boys answers.

"Hey, it's me," I say smiling at the head nervously.

"Of course we know it's you, you idiot. What time should we blow up the school?" They say bluntly and I see the Head Teachers expression change. "Robyn. What time should we blow up the school." They hear me hesitate.

"3:00," I say and the immediately hang up. I sigh and look towards the Head. "Do you believe me now?"

Another chapter! Something big is about to happen in the next chapter. If I manage to get it all in! Because every chapter seems to drag on and then it gets too long!
