Chapter 13
Tiffanys POV
I sit in the common room, waiting for the girls to arrive. I sent a message to both of them asking for an emergency meeting. I've held many before about boys and other interesting things but nothing as big as this. No.
I'm looking down at my nails when I hear the door open and the two run in panting. I sigh and roll my eyes.
"We came here as fast as we could!" Mia explains, flopping herself into a chair. Rebecca looks around for a seat but doesn't find one so she sits on the carpet.
"Well not fast enough. This is the most important meeting I've ever held. And it's about that girl, Clover." I say. They both look at me questionably.
"Why her? She's not any danger to us. Just annoying that's all." Rebecca replies. I stand up and start pacing around the room. Mia and Rebecca stare on at me.
"It's not only that. There's something odd about her. She's not like the rest of us. And have you seen how Oscar looks at her? Her weirdness seems to pull him in. But I can't put my finger on it." I stop in the middle of the room and cross my arms. They both nod in agreement.
"But what could be wrong about her? She's in a school of powers so we're all mostly the sa-" I glare at her, knowing what she was about to say. "I mean everyone else but you are the same."
"I know that but maybe she's an ultra special Panel ( person with powers ) like someone who is slightly stronger. She could be trying to hide that maybe." I say thinking of all the possibilities.
"I know what we could do! I remember when there was a young boy who had stronger powers and it was all over the news for years! We could try looking on the library computer to see if there's anything about her." Rebecca smiles.
"That might actually work! Does anyone know where the library is? I've never been." I ask, heading towards the door.
"I do. Follow me." Rebecca says and walks out. Mia and I follow after her as she walks on ahead. The halls aren't that crowded as most people are outside enjoying the sunshine while it last. A few teachers walk by, not noticing us.
We eventually reach the Library and its empty except for the librarian sitting in the corner behind the counter. She looks up for a moment, noticing we haven't visited before and looks back down at her desk.
I spot the computers on the other side of the room and walk over, Rebecca and Mia trailing after me. I sit down at the desk and turn on the computer waiting for it to load.
"So what do you think we should look for?" Mia asks in a hushed voice. I pause, thinking of what to do. They both watch me think.
"We could search for Clover Waterstone and then search for her brother as well? Something about their family must come up." I say and look back at the computer. I log in and then type:
Clover Waterstone
It takes a while to load until the screen comes up with many links. I scan through them but they mostly seem to be saying about Facebook accounts and emails. No articles or anything that could help us.
"What do we do now? Rebecca moans, sitting on the seat next to me. I glance over to her.
"Now, we search up for her brother. It might be something in the past that has made Clover like she is. It could be anything!" I shout.
"Quiet in the library!" The librarian glares at us from her desk and then looks back down to her desk. I turn my body around to the computer screen and roll my eyes. I click the search engine again and type in:
Dominic Waterstone
Suddenly, a load of articles comes up. Most of them are dated back to 12 years ago. I look up at Mia and she has her eyes on the page, edging me on to click on one of them. I click on the first one and a newspaper article shows.
Wonder Kid
You may have heard of a boy called Dominic Waterstone. If you haven't, where have you been? In the high of the war, this young boy has come to out rescue.
Dominic Waterstone, only age 4, uses half of his powers to make him grow up and fight for the war that we are currently in. He sets out every day killing demons and winning the war for us in his 16-year-old form. Only a few of the young generation can make themselves grow in age but Dominic is the youngest we have recorded.
But that's not all he's done. On the 20th September 2002, he found a 1-week old vampire girl. This young girl is called Clover. She is the daughter of two Vampire spies who was here to help us. But sadly they died a few second before Dominic could reach them.
"Clover's a vampire? I say, speechless. The others look shocked too, not believing what their reading.
"This can't be true! Carry on reading." Rebecca says.
This girl was saved from death and is now safe in the powers world. But, both of them are wanted people in the demon world and have to be careful where they go in their future lives. Clover is now living with Dominic and his family trying to fit in with other Penels that she is not.
I finish reading the article and lie back in my chair trying to gather what I just read.
"Wow. So a vampire is attending our school..." Mia slowly says.
"And she's living in OUR room," Rebecca says and my eyes widen.
"She's going to suck our blood in the night!" I whisper, trying to contain myself from not screaming. My hands trail up to my neck and I search it for bite marks and the girls do as well. I sigh in relief as I find none.
"What are we going to do now?" Rebecca asks. I turn the computer off and walk towards the exit. Once we're out I turn around to the girls.
"We're going to tell her we know.....and then make her do things so we don't tell everyone the lying vampire she is," I smirk. They smile with me and we walk in the direction of our dorm.
"How will we know that she's even in there? She's probably outside enjoying the sun like the rest of the school!" Mia crosses her arms. I still have a smile on my face.
"Why would a vampire want to go outside when the sun is beaming and will burn their skin?" I ask. Mia understands and we carry on making our way to the dorm. I walk down the corridor and reach our dorms door. I place my hand on the knob and open it.......
*************************************************************************
Hi!
I feel really bad that I haven't been updating anything this summer and I don't know if I can even promise that I will get better because I won't.
I might have to go back to my original style and write it during the night and make sure I can actually get my chapters completed in time. I also have school starting back up and my first month back is really busy and I'm going a lot of places.
But you'll be hearing about those adventures in my new book, My Book Of Randomness, so make sure to go read that because I need some more views on it!
I hope that I'll see you again soon!
Charlotte xx
