I lie helplessly on the hard, tiled floor, stranded in the bathroom. I struggle to my feet, still aching after the beat up I just got. My whole body feels like it's screaming in pain and I can barely walk around the small room.

I try and take in my new surroundings as much as possible, hoping to find a way out. In the corner of the bathroom is a never before used toilet, pure white. Not a single scratch mark. Also, a shiny pink bathtub sits to the side of the room, surrounded by designer shampoos and pink bath bombs.

I could guess that the Mean Girls has paid extra for their luxuries, while the rest of the school had to settle with grim toilets.

Next to the door, is a sink that had been obviously touched already by the girls. On top of it, multiple perfumes and hair brushes sit, cluttering up the surface. In the only other space, there are 3 toothbrushes. One Pink, one Blue, and one Purple. Each one of them has their names on, in curly neat handwriting. Looking at theirs makes mine look like a peasants toothbrush.

I search for an open window or an electronic device as I left my phone in my suitcase. Thankfully, I'm in luck. To the left on the wall, is a closed window, with a few cobwebs in the corner.

I try and search for a possible stool or chair that I can stand on but there's nothing. I try and jump up, attempting to grab onto the window ledge and pull myself up. But, I have no success, just missing the ledge my a couple of centimetres.

I think of what to do next but one thing pops into my head. And I really don't want to do it. Use my powers. You may think, there's no one in the room so why not! But using my powers make me weak and increase the chances of me having a nightmare during the night. And I DO NOT want that happening on my first night at this school.

But I can feel my hands slightly tingling, edging me on more and more to use their special power. But I resist the temptation and shove them in my back pocket. As I search for another solution to my problem, I wonder what's going on outside beyond the door. Where Olive is.

Olives POV ( It had to happen at some point right?!)

Tiffany walks up to the bathroom door and locks it with a key that was in her hand. All the girls huddle in a group and start discussing what to do next.

I look down to my nimble fingers where my phone is placed and check the message I got from the person. I still don't know who this guy or girl is as it was Clover who gave me the sheet of paper with phone number on it.

"I'm on my way. Tell Clover not to get caught."

The next message reads and I try to come up with my reply. Do I tell this person that she's already caught or lie? I start to type my reply. This person seems to know Clover quite closely and cares for her. But she never mentioned anyone who she knew at this school, no siblings or parents that work or go here.

"Bad news, Clover has been locked up in the bathroom and I have no way to help her. Help!"

I send to this person and I peer up from the screen and realise that the girls had stopped talking and are now glaring at me. I flinch back and drop the phone from my hands.

They would've realised that I've been messaging someone for help even when I'm alone. Oh great, I wish Clover was here!

"Olive, who are you texting? We all know you have no friends, so it can't be anyone important can it?" Rebecca sneers at me. I feel like her glance is looking through me like I'm some kind of object.

"None of your business. Anyway, shouldn't you be trying to think of what to do with the person you're holding captive?" I smirk glancing over to the bathroom. They pause for a moment and then Mia turns to Tiffany who looks already bored of the conversation.

"Hey , Tif. What if Clover found a way out? I mean, I'm sure there's a window in there." Tiffany looks up from filing her nails and thinks for a moment. We wait for her reply until she smiles.

"There's no way she can get out the window, I locked it." She pulls out a key from her pocket that's attached to another key. The other must be for the door to lock the bathroom door. Hmm, I think I've got a plan.

A knock on the door draws our attention from the conversation. I look at the others and they all glare at me.

"Come in!" Tiffany shouts sweetly. I roll my eyes. A boy appears, sticking his head in the creak of the door. He's the boy I saw earlier when we were trying to rescue Clover from the crowds. He has jet black hair and green eyes. He looks really tall compared to the 4 of us girls. Tiffany, Mia and Rebecca seem to recognise him instantly.

But instead of looking at the others, his eyes land on me. The other girls turn to me also, almost jealous that I'm the one who's got all the attention.

"Ah, Dominic. The fastest boy in the school. Quick question, are you allowed to use your powers in school? Because we aren't and its so unfair! Could you possibly ask the head teacher to change that?" Tiffany's eyes glimmer as she's found her next prey.

Dominic, so that's his name. He steps fully into the room and I get a full glimpse of him. He looks like he's in year 10 ( Grade 9 ) so I don't know why Tiffany is even going for him.

"Ah, so you've heard of me! And no sorry I don't think I can do that for you. But what I'm here for is to see my sister Clover. Have any of you seen her?" He winks at me and I try and secretly point to the bathroom door. So he's Clovers brother! I wonder why she never mentioned that he was talking to us earlier.

"Um, Clover! No, don't think I've ever heard of a girl called that! Goodbye now!" Tiffany starts to panic but he stays where he is. The other girls look at each other for help but none of them no what to do.

I stand up, putting my phone in my pocket and start to walk over towards Tiffany. "I think I know where Clover is, Dominic," I smile and the girls all turn to look at me. Tiffany glares at me but I continue on with my plan. 

"Oh do you? I really need to find her to make sure she settles in nicely." Dominic looks to the bathroom door and back at me. I point to Tiffanys back pocket and he nods.

"Uh yea, I think Tiffany does as well, don't you?" I ask her and she freezes. I've never seen her so worried before.  "Hey, what is that in your pocket?"

She reaches inside and pulls out the key I saw earlier. It swings in the slight breeze that's in our room. "Its a key." She stutters. She tries to put it back in her pocket but I manage to break it from her grasp. The key is now in my hand and I can save Clover. I smile but Rebecca and Mia start to approach me.

I start to back away towards the door but Mia tries to reach for the keys. I swerve backward but end up falling onto my butt. Rebecca moves towards me but a hand pulls me up. I get back up on my feet and start to generate a water ball in my hand. Her eyes widen and start to back away, obviously not wanting to get her hair wet.

"Oh come on guys! It's just water if she allowed using her powers we should be allowed to use ours as well!" Tiffany shouts and I see a sunbeam come from her palm. I throw the water at her face and it gets all over her hair. She squeals and angles the light at me. It starts to head towards me but I freeze up in fear.

Suddenly, I feel a gust wind come over me and everything seems to be going in slow motion. I feel hands put me on the floor and then the person rushes back into the fight. Dominic breaths heavily and runs again behind Tiffany as she tries to shot him.

"Keep trying, but I'm always ahead of you." He smirks.

But then something catches my eye. A hand seems to be moving in thin air with no body to it. And then I realise that Mia and Rebecca have disappeared.

"Dominic! Watch out!" I yell but I'm too late. Mia and Rebecca re-appear right behind him. Rebecca shoots at his lower body so his legs are completely covered in Ice. He tries to break out from it but it doesn't work

"Hm, no where to run now?"

Hey people! I'm so sorry that its taking me so long to update this so here is a really long chapter ( for me at least ) to say sorry.

So, if you didn't understand, Olive has water powers, Dominic has speed, Rebecca has Ice, Tiffany has Sun and Mia was probably the hardest to figure out as she can turn invisible. Oh and the reason why Olive could see a hand was because Mia can turn herself and people who she is touching invisible, just not their whole body.

I'm hoping to get more done today as I'm getting teeth out so I get to miss school! But I'm probably be in pain so I'm not sure. But anyway, I have a long list of things to do an one is to expand on a new book idea! Only two people know at the moment but I really can't wait to try it out.

But, I not sure if I'm going to post it on here or not because I also want to make a sequal to Hands Of Fire. And if I post both then it will be sooooo slow updating. What do you guys think?
