Chapter 8

It took a little while, but the man-made Vampire shook off the effects of Peter's blood and sighed. "Note to self. Never take the senses again." Alissa said holding her head as the older men laughed. Peter, instead, pouted.

"Awww why?" Peter asked getting too close to the Vamp. Alissa growled softly causing Peter to back up quickly before shaking her head gently.

"Trying to find a form to handle your 'Spidy senses' is hard enough. Having the headache afterwards is not fun there, kid." Alissa said before lying down on the floor. Alissa sighed gently before thinking. "Are there any strong painkillers here?" She asked closing her eyes.

Tony and Bruce looked at each other before looking at the young female on the floor. "Why strong painkillers?" Tony asked.

"Simple painkillers don't work on me." Alissa explained. "Most common medication like Panadol and what not don't work on me." Alissa said before sitting up slowly.

Bruce thought for moment before looking at Alissa. "Do you mind if I run some tests on you so we know what will work and what won't work, such as medication and anaesthesia in case anything happens to you." Bruce asked looking at Alissa.

Alissa looked at Bruce and shrugged. "That's fine. It's best to know what does work if something happens." Alissa replied before looking out the window. "I think we may have company." Alissa said eyes narrowing slightly.

Tony looked out the window. "F.R.I.D.A.Y. are we expecting anyone?" Tony asked. He frowned when the AI didn't reply. "F.R.I.D.A.Y.?"

Alissa stood up and shook her head rapidly before pushing her hair back. "Is there anything I can do to help?" Alissa asked crossing her arms loosely across her body.

"Steve. Bucky. Take Alissa to one of the safe rooms. I'll call everyone else to be ready to attack. Peter you're with us." Tony explained before being knocked over by a wolf like form. He looked at the wolf in confusion before looking at Alissa seeing her arms crossed more firmly.

"Oh, you really didn't read the files did you." Alissa growled. "I have the ability to split myself. Came in handy when the Handler tried anything." Alissa walked over and brought the wolf back to her body. "Also made it slightly easier at my attempts to escape. They never could tell the real one from the fakes." Alissa said as she growled.

Tony looked at Bucky for answers and paled as he watched him nod. "It was a talent that was common amongst all of them. It annoyed the guards enough that they just got the Winter Soldier in." Bucky said, crossing his arms. "Once Alissa was scared they all backed down and obeyed her." Tony nodded at this information before looking at Alissa.

"Um..... Anything you need?" Tony asked nervously. Alissa looked at the outfit she was wearing.

"No. I should be fine. Unless you have any bandages, I could use." Alissa said before looking at Bruce. Bruce nodded.

"Tony, Alissa and I will quickly head to the medbay, you lot get out there." Bruce said as he started leading Alissa way. Tony sat up once he was sure he was safe to do so and looked at the super soldiers.

"Let's go get them." Tony said with a slightly shakily voice as the two super soldiers tried not to laugh.

As the Avengers made their way out to the fight, Bruce and Alissa made it to the medbay. "I just need one bandage." Alissa said as she looked around. Bruce found one and threw it at Alissa.

"What do you need one for?" Bruce asked nervously.

Alissa turned her back to Bruce and stripped her shirt as she started bandaging her chest. "My wings tend to tear cloth and it doesn't stay on when I tear it." Alissa explained as finished wrapping her chest. Once she was sure it was tightly secure, she leaned forward as the large leathery wings broke free from their confines. She turned to Bruce and nodded. "Shall we?" she asked.

Bruce nodded and lead her out the quick way before changing himself into the Hulk. Alissa whistled before looking up to see helicarriers above trying to shoot down the aerial fliers. Alissa looked at the Hulk and whistled to get his attention. "Need you to throw me big boy." Alissa said before being picked up and threw her in the air. "Whoa!" Alissa exclaimed before spreading her wings to take flight and flies higher.

Alissa looked to Steve and read his mind quickly before going higher. "Captain right? Make sure no one is under the Helicarrier. It won't be in the air for much longer." Alissa said as she got higher. Steve watched in confusion before Bucky snapped him out of it.

"She's gonna flatten the Helicarrier." Bucky said before shooting down a few more soldiers. Steve looked at the girl before calling the team to fall back. Bucky looked at Steve, once the team was pulled back, he nodded. Bucky nodded before looking at Alissa.

Alissa flew higher up before free falling. A foot before hitting the Helicarrier, Alissa spread her wings to their full length and flapped down. The force of her wingbeat knocked the carrier out of the air before she landed on top of it. "Easy there, Panther." Bucky called out. Alissa looked up and watched Bucky before he clicked his fingers to his side. Alissa went to refuse but thought better of it before flapping her wings and flying to Bucky's side.

"Obedient. Powerful. Hate to get on her bad side." Tony said as he landed by Captain America's side. Steve nodded before looking at the Helicarrier.

"Can she keep it down long enough for us to interrogate the people on there?" Steve asked his long time brunet friend. Bucky chuckled before saying something in Russian.

Alissa disappeared. As the team looked around in confusion, Bucky watched the Helicarrier before chuckling when the engines refused to power the turbines to lift the carrier up. Alissa reappeared besides Bucky. "Done." Alissa said causing half the team to jump.

"You did that?" Tony asked as the engines continue to fail.

"When they think that having the Winter Soldier as your Handler is a good idea, you learn a few things about engines and how things work." Alissa said with her arms crossed while watching the carrier fail to get up.

Tony watched her carefully before looking at Steve. "Welp, let's get to work at getting these people cuffed." Tony said. As he was about to take a step towards the Helicarrier, he jumped back as the wolf reappeared. "Warning. Please. Much appreciated." Tony said as he stepped back.

"I don't think they'll back down." Alissa said watching it. Bucky looked at Alissa before nodding.

"Alissa. Collect." Bucky ordered. Alissa shifted into her panther and trotted to the Helicarrier. The team watched as the Panther started to stalk towards the Helicarrier. Once the Panther disappeared inside, a few minutes later, two rows of soldiers came out with their hands behind their heads. When they all of them left the Helicarrier, Alissa came out with her wings tucked behind her back, small pistol held loosely in her hand.

"Collected." Alissa replied as they lined up in front of them. Tony whistled before looking at Bucky.

"That's quick." Tony said as they watched Alissa snap an order at the soldiers. Soldiers knelt as Alissa walked back over to Bucky and stand behind him slightly.

"That's how they wanted her under her triggers. She, however, breaks free of her triggers as soon as an order is given." Bucky explained as they watched S.H.I.E.L.D. come and take the soldiers away. "They never figured out how to make her obey so they kept her tucked away. Only bringing her out for experiment on her." Bucky said as he watched Alissa sit by his side as a griffin. Bucky slowly moved his hand to her head and stroked her feathers gently.

Alissa slowly relaxed as Bucky continued to stroke her feathers gently. Bucky smiled softly before looking up as the last soldier was taken away. Tony walked over to the helicarrier and looked at before looking at Alissa. "Can she repair it so we can get it off the lawn?" Tony said looking back at Bucky and Alissa. Bucky looked at Alissa before signalling the Helicarrier.

Alissa yawned and stretched before trotting over to the Helicarrier. Alissa shifted and climbed up through the turbines and started to repair the engines. After a few minutes, the engines roared to life as Alissa came out wiping her hands on her pants. "All done." Alissa said before walking back to her spot by Bucky.

Tony looked at the Helicarrier and then looked at Alissa. "Hate to see what you do to my suits....." Tony said before getting Clint to help him move the Helicarrier.
