Chapter 4 - Shy Goodness

A rookie and a timid. What a combo. But let's get it rolling before that woman or the sisters jump the gun.

Enjoy.

~~~~~
It was a little awkward saying that he needed cologne. But he seemed to have things rolling. The timid smile he saw on her face as they left and were departing from the front of the school. Miku was happy to be going out for a little. With the aspect of culture influencing the whole day ahead.
(FN) was receiving a text from his father.
Pops
Hey Son. What time are you home tonight? I'm having sushi delivered. A new business partner is buying.
That was a very good question. As (FN) didn't know if Miku had a curfew or not. He will go from there. "Hey Miku, just out of curiosity, how long do we have?"
"Probably until six. Got to get a few things done tonight. Not sure if I will get on or not either. We'll see." Her smiled was so pure. It was as if no one has ever treated her before.
"Alright. Guess I'll be quick in the store and we go right to the tea house."
"Can't wait."
"Just a heads up. You want me to walk you home or do you have a lift?" He asked being nice. Not many would offer. Another first for her.
"White Ridge."
(FN) was surprised. "Really? I'm on the same street. What building?"
"Koozashi."
"Wow. I'm a few buildings down. Share the same parking garage. I can walk you back to your building up front if you want. Sound good?"
Miku smiled. "Thank you. You're so nice." Something about her quiet personality made her special to (FN). Her being happy over small things such as tea made him happy as well.
She clearly comes from a big money family just like me. But for someone that lives in the same area, its little things. I always thought if I met a girl in this complex she would be spoiled. Fine foods, fine clothes, expensive jewelry, and more. Picking out cologne and having tea and snacks. This is almost too good to be true.
"Believe me Miku, you are more nice. I hope you understand that." (FN) walked forward as Miku walked right at his side.
"If you say so." I haven't had this sort of treatment. Don't know why or how it works, but I can appreciate it.
"I do. I guess we will make it quick and debate sweets at the shop."
"Oh my." She sighed happily. "Speaking of, what tea house? "Healing Dragon?"
(FN) seemed caught off guard. "Yeah. You've been?"
"I had it delivered before. Some matcha and dango."
"Love it."
"And you know the owner?" Pondered Miku.
"My father helped him actually."
"I see."
~~~~~

The two make swift arrangements  and walk to the outside of Healing Dragon. This was a beautiful site. In front were two cherry blossom trees, a small pond filled with coy fish and lotus flowers, and two small jade sculptures of dragons.

"Oh wow. This is fancy. I thought when I ordered it out the place wouldn't work nearly like this." Miku took out her phone and took a picture. "This looks amazing."

"Yeah. Love it here. Wait until you see inside." (FN) opened the front for her and walked inside to something that is a cross between their ancient Japanese guildhall in their MMO and a restaurant.

"Incredible." Miku was in her happy place.

"Masa." Chimed a woman behind the counter. She's in her early 30s with medium black hair, brown eyes, and a cute smile. "And who have you brought along?"

"Hey Yumi. This is Miku. Just us today." Smiled (FN).

"Come come. I'll take good care of you as always." She grabbed to menus. "Right this way to the garden."

"The garden?" Pondered Miku.

"You'll see." (FN) followed Yumi. It was a different section of the restaurant. It was little area that was a little gazebo with a stream that flowed next to it. It was a great way to feel the Japanese country side while inside of the city. "Pick a seat Miku."

"This is amazing here." She took a seat as Yumi put the menus down.

"Chi-chan will be right over." Chimed Yumi.

(FN) sat down. "Yumi is married to a friend of my father. Chidori her daughter works here too. My father and her husband go way back and this is one of his investments. A way to help out his friend and add to his name. So he tells me. Instead of Master like in a maid cafe, they call me Masa. Just been a thing for years." He flipped open the menu. "The white peach is phenomenal and we can do a tour platter if you would like."

"Tour platter?" Pondered Miku. "That an off the menu thing?"

"You bet. It's five different teas and five different treats each. Their top picks."

"Would that be alright? Five is our lucky number." Smiled Miku.

"Mine is seven because of watching sports growing up. Why five?"

"You ever see a limo drive up in front of the school?" She asked.

"I've heard of it but haven't seen it. What's up?"

"I'm one of five sisters. We're quintuplets."

"That's cool. I heard that too. Sorry I'm so out of the loop." (FN) chuckled as he felt that he was clueless. "So ideally I imagine you're all different in a way."

"We are. We all look alike. But we all have something different about us. We are all just at that point in our lives where we want to be independent. From what I can see."

"Are you all identical?" He asked.

"Yes. But there are ways to tell us apart. Many don't, but you can if you try."

(FN) wanted to know so this wouldn't bite him later. "I'm an only child so I'll have to think about it. Hair color the same?"

"Yes."

"Different styles?"

"Yes."

"I can try to figure it out. Hope I meet them sometime though. Any concerns I should have?" He was onto something.

She giggled. "We can talk about that later."

"Masa." Chimed a waitress. She is about late college aged and looks very similar to her sister but with longer hair.

(FN) looked up. "Chi-chan. How are you? This is Miku."

Chidori giggled. "Thought you would never bring a girl here Masa. But now that we have the chance what can I do for you?"

"What do you think Miku?" (FN) asked the girl across from him.

"What's this tour platter that (FN) here is talking about?"

"Ohhh, good choice Masa." Smiled Chidori. "A matcha, white peach, hojicha, kabuse, and dragon tea assortment with various dango and daifuku."

"I would love it. (FN)?" Miku asked.

He nodded and looked up at Chidori. "Well Chi-chan. You heard the lady."

"You know it. I'll be back." The waitress gave a smile to both of them and walked off. Leaving the two of them to enjoy the sounds of calm music, a flowing stream, and the view of the plants and coy fish. "She's cute." Chidori mumbled to herself.

"Sorry about them." He apologized.

"I understand. We can both air things out. But, you never brought a girl here? Just me?" Miku was curious of what the reason was. This could be because of his confidence, his tensions, or the fact he just didn't try.

"I guess you can say I haven't dated?" He shrugged. "Never met someone to have a day like today with. Well, until I met you."

Miku's face turned pink almost like her hair and covered her face. "Stop you. You're making me blush."

"You alright?"

"Yeah, just not used to this." She looked to the side and got herself together.

"Make that two of us. This is all new to me. I can't say that I have no idea what I'm doing, but I have never done anything like this solo. Just out with my father and sometimes the guys would want to relax the day before a test or so and use this and make a quick prayer for good karma."

"I need all I can get." She shook her head.

"Faith, work, believe." He prompted.

"For sure. Sorry, I just need to work on it."

~~~~~
Ichika was laying back on the sofa in the living room as Fuutaro was getting things together. His personally homework and notes were being together as Nino was on her phone seeing if there was anything on this guy her sister was out with. Itsuki and Yotsuba didn't think too much into it. Ichika knew what she wanted. Nino however was making sure that she wasn't going out with her type.
"So nothing bad. But I feel like he's similar. Lives in the same neighborhood." Nino was gathering more information.
"Similar how?" Asked Fuutaro. All five girls were different. The statement was vague.
"He lives two or three buildings over. This is a finer area." Replied Nino.
"Rich. Got it. What else?"
"Never had a girlfriend, never got in trouble, his dad married three times, and is a great student. But for someone living that life he seems average. His friends say he doesn't go to the country club with his father at all. No golf, no clubhouse, and if you think about it. He could go into any school he wants to and he isn't committing to any university right now." Nino was puzzled. There wasn't anything wrong, but it was a unique individual. Wasn't daddy's project to be the next ruler of his empire and nor was he a rebellious brat.
"You make him sound weird." Complained Itsuki.
"I talked to his friends. He doesn't seem like an odd one to me." Put in Ichika.
"Miku would know more. If there was any trouble wouldn't she just call us or leave a text for a rescue?" Asked Yotsuba.
"She should if that's the case. But here is different. Plus this could just be gamer friends meeting in person." Pondered Nino.
Fuutaro was confused. "So is this a date or some kind of best friend game versus IRL?"
"We don't know. We just have to wait for her to get back. But I'm confused too. Tea, video games, and a day out together. Date or no date I want to meet this guy. I'd rather be overthinking." Nino put her phone down and picked up her pencil. And if he hurts her I'm going to make him regret it.
~~~~~

Ah Nino. The second hardest one to figure out.
