"Huh? Becky! What is it?"i asked,surprised for she is holding a flyer."what is that?"

"Look! Theres a Musical Play on Friday.. which is 2 days from now and they want you to be the Protagonist of the play!"Becky said,jumping around.

"Really?... a musical? Im in!"

"Then go! At The Activity Area. Our teachers are there..."Becky smiled as i Barely see her when i run down the long hallway. filled with Students

But the one that caught my eye was the people, fangirling around like an artist was on-point!!

But 78% of the students were boys... let me guess?

Its Audrey Roberts. The Most Popular, Wealthy, and a really beautiful Student of Valleyview Middleschool.

Audrey was clearly known to be a kind-hearted person but she gets angry when it comes to her crush and when her friend got hurt... maybe thats the reason why people love her...admire her...

"Are you Joy?!"I Hear alot of voices from behind... what the?!

"H-huh???"I turned around and saw people like uhh.. singing Can we Dance.. what the?

"dont you know that you already have fans?"Says a cute little child giving me flowers.

"Well no.. hehe.. thanks for the flowers..."I said, hugging him..

Until i saw one person holding a bouquet of Roses... a DOZEN..

"Wh-what?"I paused and saw... Todd... whats the meaning of This Thomas Oliver Grunge?

I paused.. i need to pass through Audrey's fans and to the activity Area..

"Todd? What is this?"i asked.

"... for you?... and... i dont know.. were just in 6th grade but... you're gonna be much beautiful when you're gonna be 18"He compliments... but... this unusual feeling is bothering me.

"Thomas.. lets just talk about this Later.."i tried to Walk away but he holds my hand

"Please.. just.. take this.."He said, handing me the bouquet of roses..

"Okay... but lets talk privately.. not in front of th--"

"Your supporters.. our supporters"

"Okay... bye. I have to go to the Activity area for the practice and registration for the Musical Play"

"Musical play... Audrey's auditioning for the Antagonist part.. what are you?"

"Protagonist. Todd.. i have to go.... and.. thank you for the roses"i smiled and then walk away.

As i passed by the fans of Audrey... i hit... someone... someone with a long wavy hazel hair and eyes as green as the leaves. Eyelashes that are curled up and is wearing a silver hairband with a glittery heart shape placed on it.

Audrey Roberts..

"Audrey?"I said, looking up at her

"Joy?... Joy Pepper right?!"She said, smiling.

"Yes, its me.. Joy. Are you gonna audition for the Musical play?"I asked

"Yes. How 'bout you?"

"i am. And i guess i'll be the protagonist... again."

"i know! You are popular on those Plays and Dramas and.. Singing Contests. Anyway... im sorry if im surrounded by this people.. but they're nice!"

"I also got surrounded by one.. but... i just left them with a smile and a goodbye.."I said.. looking down.

"Its okay... im also like that... anyway, have you heard of Chris Quantum?"

My heart beat stops.. Chris? Chris Quantum? The one that i trusted my life with and then betrayed me?

"Yes.. he's my ex-best friend..."

"Ex-best friend? Why? What happened?"She asked. Looking worried.

"Oh its a long story... but he betrayed me.. anyway, why do you asked?"

"Oh... People said he's cute... and.. i dont know? I dont even know him! Is he really cute?"

"... yeah.. kind of.. he's the lead guitarist of their band."

"wow... people here in Valleyview are really talented..."she giggles

"Do you want to meet Chris in person?"I asked, smiling at her

"maybe?.. anyway lets just talk about him later haha... we better head to the Activity area..."

I nodded and then we both headed to The Activity area.

"Joy, haven't asked you if we can be friends.."

"Of course!"i giggled and then we headed to the Professor for Music and Arts

"Ah! Our two Main characters are here!Joy and Audrey!"says Professor Jeremiah.

"Uh.. yes Professor. Anyway? what sort of play would we recreate?"Audrey asked.

"Highschool Musical."He answered

"H-highschool musical? But we need a Gabriella,Troy,Sharpay,Ryan, Taylor,Chad and a Kelsi!!"Audrey said.

"And You Audrey will be Sharpay.. since i heard you're auditioning for the Antagonist, and as usual, you Joy Pepper will be Gabriella!"

"But who will be the boys and Kelsi?"we both asked

"Chris Quantum who is a beginner in Plays.. will be perfect as Troy Bolton. And Todd grunge can be Ryan Evans. Mitch will be Chad,Becky can be Taylor, and Bonnie can be Kelsi"

"Joy! Now i can meet Chris! Since Chris is Gabriella's leading man."Audrey smiled.

"Chris... ugh..."i sighed and then sit down on the stage

Why Chris? Why him? Were not close and with him as my partner i can never focus on the play...

Chris Quantum

"Dude! I heard you'll be Joy's leading man! Haha! You're gonna act as Troy Bolton!"Mitch said, tapping my back

"And you're Chad... ugh! Why Joy? It can be Audrey? She's beautiful and nice. Not like Joy."

"But you're the one who betrayed her."

... yes... i am the one who betrayed her..

"Chris, you promised me you'll go at my birthday"

"Sorry Joy, i am busy with band practice"

"Then why do i found out that you're just playing Holo 9 and keeps texting your friends you're not gonna go at your best friend's birthday?!"

"I.. im sorry.."

Ugh.. but i can never bring it all back...

Well yeah at first i really like her... but now i like ... Audrey..

"Come on.. lets go at the Activity Area.. Audrey Is there.."

"And????...."he grinned.

"Joy..."i mumbled and sighed.

As we headed to the Activity area, i saw Todd holding a dozen roses... sad, sitting on the chair.

"What happened there?"Mitch asked.

"I dont know... lets just go."

As we continued to walk i saw alot of banners of me,Audrey,Joy,Me and Audrey,Joy and Todd... Mitch.. The Musical play.. the Loveteams.

Ehh?? JoRis or ARis? What the?!
This is crazy? How could they made a loveteam war? JoMas or JoRis?

Who the heck is JoMas? Joy and.....

Todd.. Thomas.. Todd... great.. him?! Ahh!! What is this?! You and Joy aren't friends or best friends! You guys are enemies!!

"Go JoRis!!... i-i mean... ARis!!"Mitch said, faking a laugh...

I put my headphones on and enter the activity area.

There i saw Professor Jeremiah,Joy and... the Angelic Audrey.

Wow....... but Joy is much.. cool... After months of not seeing her... I never knew she become much lovelier today... her hair has a streak of Blue and gosh... why would she wear diamond earrings?! Her eyelashes is on point and curled up and her ocean eyes is so beautiful... She becomes much b--- SHE'S YOUR ENEMY!!

"Oh you're here!"says Professor Jeremiah,leading me and Mitch on the stage

"Joy?is that Chris?"Audrey whispered to me

"Yes, so... how is he?"i asked. Smiling

"He's cool and cute... i think i got struck by a love at first sight!... weird but fans already did a loveteam called ARis"

"Haha.. really?" I said.

But before she could answer,Professor Jeremiah called us to start the song... the scene..

"What will i sing professor?"No wonder i didn't notice Professor's handsome face.. i think Ms. Jane and Professor Jeremiah is perfect for each other..

"You have to practice Breaking free for a while.. while we wait for Todd so Audrey and him can start the song,What i've been looking for"Professor Jeremiah said

"Now?"Chris asked

"Yeah now.."

Me and Chris stepped on the spotlight and we stepped closer to each other... i look at Audrey who seems disturbed..

Of course.. he likes Chris even if she just saw him.

"Closer You two!"Professor Jeremiah commanded

"C-closer?!"I keep glancing at Chris.

I hold the microphone and he holds it too.

"Nice streaks"he smirked

"Thanks. And why did you have the guts to talk to me?"I asked.

"Because we have this play to do.. and i want both of us to be comfortable or else we wont portray our characters well"Chris said..

"Start the song!"Professor shouted

And then... Chris started the song.

"Were soaring... flying... theres not a star in heaven that we cant reach.."

Then i sung next.. Sharing the microphone with him"if were trying.. so were breaking free.."

we stepped away from each other and look eye to eye..

Then Chris starts the second part."you know the world can see us,in a world thats different than who we are.."

then me.."creating space between us.. till were separate hearts.."

And then both of us.. gosh.."But your faith it gives me strength,strength to believe.."

Then With Chris' awesome voice.."WERE BREAKING FREE!!"

Me.. okay.."Were soaring!"

Chris:"Flying!"
Joy:"Theres not a star in heaven that we cant reach!"
Chris:"If were trying,yeah were breaking free"

"Amazing! You guys actually nailed the first part of the song!"Professor Jeremiah said

"of course!"Chris smirks..

How boastful he is....

I walk to Audrey who seems like she just breathed at this time.

"What a great show!"Audrey smiled. Clapping

"Thank you.."

"Audrey!Todd has arrived! Lets start the song!"

Audrey and Todd walked up the stage..

"And.. start!"

Todd:"Its hard to believe that i couldn't see"
Todd and Audrey:"that you were always there beside me"

"ATTENTION EVERYONE! PLEASE LISTEN TO ME FIRST.." A soft voice coming from the speaker

"What was that?"i asked

"Next 2 months will be our Prom day. And i invited all Grade 6 students to the prom. One of you will be the Prom King and will be called Valleyview Knights. One will be the Prom Queen and will be called the Valleyview Angels. The title seemed to be many huh? But no. It means that you are the most popular student here in valleyview. and of course,the prom king and queen are the dance partners. And i nominated Audrey Roberts,Chris Quantum,Todd Grunge,Joy Pepper,Allison Jane,Mitch Perez,and Samantha Jefferson. You can nominate any other students or the students i mentioned can throw the chance. Thats it and thank you."

"Joy..."Audrey called.

But i didn't listen... i have to win that... i have to show Chris Quantum that the girl he betrayed will be winning against him..

"Joy... isn't it gonna be a hard job? Me and you are competitors?... can't you just .. quit?"Audrey said. Which made me shock...

"I can't Audrey. I have to show Chris that i will win against him"

"But... Were competitors.. and i also wanna win that Title.."Audrey looked down..

It made me feel a little guilty.. but i wanna win that title

"I understand Joy... guess were gonna be competitors.. and... friends.. good luck"she turned away.

"Okay everyone! Break time! You can now stroll around"says Professor Jeremiah,picking up his books and our scripts

"Audrey... i can quit if you want.."i said, approaching her

"..r-really?"Audrey cracks a smile.

"Y-yes..."I fake a smile then Audrey hugged me

"Great!! Lets tell Principal Travis"Audrey said..

"Okay..."

Im not sure about my decision.. but maybe i can still win One title next year right? There's still time so.. i think its better for Audrey to be happy... guess i'll never get to compete on being one...

No... i can't..

Ugh.. but deep inside me i wanna be a Valleyview angel.. a prom queen..

I break free from Audrey's tight grip and stepped away. the part of my hair with blue streaks runs on my cheeks when i forcefully take my hands off of hers..

I paused as my eyes widened in embarrassment. The students flocked in to look at me and Audrey. This is crazy...

"i know.. Joy.. you wanted to compete... But... ugh.. We still are friends Joy.. but... i wanted our friendship to be like this so none of us can get hurt if ever one of us won.."

The students began whispering to the other students beside them and my face becomes red because of embarrassment.

"Joy!"Todd pulled me out of the crowd and look at me worried..

"Todd.. Audrey... uhh.."i become dizzy and hugged Todd"She's my friend and she is asking me to quit.. if i didnt.. i guess my friendship with her will end.. Todd.. i dont want that... and.. i also..wanna be.. the ..Prom Queen.."

"Joy.. everything will be fine.. im here.. and.. Dont mind Audrey.. im pretty sure she'll not mind if you joined it right?"Todd said, parting my hair and shaking me lightly

"No.. she wants me out.. and.. other than that.. she's the antagonist at our play.. and.. Chris is my leading man.. and.. Audrey likes her.."my tears continously falls down my cheeks.

"Joy.. dont worry.."Todd kissed my forehead and hugged me.. which makes me feel alot better...

I hope everything will be good between me and Audrey..

Then.. suddenly.. i saw Audrey Approaching me.

"Joy.. i know you kind of feel bad.. and.. Im sorry.."she said..

"Audrey... i know you wanted that title sooo much and i also want it.. but.. can we do this as a friendly competition?"I said,smiling down at Her

"Of course.."we hugged each other and i wiped my tears away.

"Well.. then.. I think its time for our second session.."Audrey said"come on."

Me and Todd followed Audrey to the activity area. Todd keeps glancing at Audrey and he seems disturbed..

while walking down the hallway.. i can feel the negative presence..the students are looking at us like a monster..

Is it because me and Audrey argued? Gosh.. thats the problem..

Audrey is popular.. and i too..

Seems like its gonna be a hard time sticking up with a popular and most influencial friend..

Especially when it comes to being the Prom Queen
