Chapter 6: Blessed

Scene One

When the Children made it back to camp, there wasn't much left...

Dens were toppled over, and some trees had been knocked down. Most the prey they had saved up were covered in snow and gone bad. Sylvie looked around in sadness.

"They're not a lot left..." she muttered. Estrid came by her side, nodding solemnly.

"Yes... but, maybe it shouldn't take too long to rebuild what we had. C'mon, let's go see what kinda of prey we can find. Can't work on an empty stomach."

The sudden sound of wing beats made the two mollies turn, looking over towards the entrance of camp. Eir and Rota were just arriving back, some prey hanging in their mouth.

They came inside, dropping the food to the side, getting ready to start another prey pile. Rota lifted her head. "Gonna need some hunting patrols, we need food and someone needs to go check the border to look for anymore Helwalkers."

Sylvie and Estrid nodded, before the daughter of lightning started to make her way towards the entrance. "I'll do a solo patrol, just to check. I'll try and bring back some food too."

Sylvie has been walking (more like jumping) through the snow for what felt like hours now. The sun was getting low, but as she started back to camp, she stopped near a small frozen waterfall.

It looked to lead towards the frozen lake, and as she looked into the ice, she smiled as she saw fish swim under the ice. Maybe that was good sign, maybe the ice was slowly melting?

"Tired of the cold too?"

Sylvie jumped as the new voice came, turning around and looking behind her. Two cats stood there, both mollies, smiling politely to her.

"Hi!"

Scene Two

The moon was at it's highest tonight. He could tell by the reflection of the pool a few paces away.

"My King? I come bringing water for you," said a voice.

The giant wolf look to the entrance, a much smaller she-wolf entering. Her jaws held a bowl with water, barely a drop for someone of his size.

Her silver and white pelt stuck out against the darkness of the cave. The king smiled sadly as he watched his descent come to him. He could barely move to open his mouth, allowing her to pour the water into his mouth.

It was barely a drop to him, but the coolness on his tongue made him grateful for just a moment. The she-wolf backed up, her ears down as she too knew it wouldn't be enough. He had gone weeks without proper water, and the bounds against his body tightened with every day.

The Wolf King motioned with his muzzle for her to go. She dipped her head in a respectful manner, before turning and leaving the cave.

It was so lonely...

When would Tyr be back to let him go?

"I feel a great sadness in you..."

The Wolf King looked over, looking towards the strange white molly. Her eyes were pink, a white film over them as she sat next to him. Her white wings were held to her sides, staring blankly forwards.

"Tyr... you knew him?"

The Wolf King gave a sad whine, before laying his head back down.

"I'm sure he's sorry for leaving you here. I can sense you and him were close."

The Wolf King gave another sad whine, before closing his eyes, blocking out the clouds of sadness in his eyes. He missed his friend...

A loud booming voice was heard announcing Fimbulwinter has arrived. A discussion chain will be place for everyone to discuss what this means and what to do.

A strange bright beam of light is coming from across the valley. Yrsa, Argent, and Valor have been chosen to go and investigate.

Time to introduce a new rank: Blessed

Blessed cats are cats that are favorited by one of the Gods. They are blessed with powers, but some might be diffrent than those the Godlings have! Blessed cats will also help with keeping the gene pools clean and allow more players to join rather than having to find new Gods (there's uh... not a lot) and bring back some Gods' powers back! (Vadirr)

Rota is visiting the camp! As a greeting, she has offered to help hunt and gather supplies with others. She will randomly join patrols from time to time to help.
