Dean's POV

The Prince had felt and bore all types of pain in his lifespan. But he  could never fully grasp the pain derived from bending of souls. It was unexplainable, it wasn't physical; it wasn't even emotional.

All he could think of while he had been tortured was death. But he fought it, he had gone through unmentionable things in life, he wasn't going to drop dead by the hands of some foolish werewolf.

He was much stronger than that. Even as he screamed out in pain,  he used his last strength to call unto Achilie. No matter how a good deal of a problem he was in, he could rely on Achilie.

Instead of trying to bear the burden and harness his powers to reduce the pressure of the soul bender, he risked sending a message to his Pegasus; Achilie.

Just when things had gotten to its extreme, and his energy force blinked a dark blue, signaling extreme danger; It stopped.
Many things in life didn't make sense, and many times, there were things that remained full of questions, but never in his life had he seen or heard of someone who did the impossible.

She wasn't only immune to  soul bending,  but she also protected  him from it. It wasn't just possible,  the only people immune to that, where those without a soul, and the only people without souls were dead people.

The prince stared in absolute shock at JJ,  he just couldn't believe it. The soul bender screamed in agony once again, reminding him of her young age; she wasn't even old enough to use and control her powers. Gifts like soul bending needed the highest level of training and control, it took years of experience to be able to do that.

But the Rogue and the Witch didn't care about that, instead, they used their compelling powers to force out her aura, making everyone within close proximity to suffer a pain worse than death.

It was only after the compelling pressure got to its highest point,  and the girl slumped limp to the ground, did the rogue wolf regained his senses.

The Prince knew almost immediately, that it was the only chance they had to escape,  the death of the young girl had opened up an escape room.

Without the eyes of both the rogue and the witch on him, he reached into his  subconscious mind and picked up his Teek powers, breaking the chains that held him down.

The Rogue and Witch were on the floor trying all they could to revive the soul bender, but even he knew how impossible it was.

Without wasting any time,  he reached to JJ's chains, releasing her out of the thrall. Expecting to see a happy JJ, he was met with an expression he recognized and understood so well on her face.

She stared at the dead soul bender with what he could describe as blank.

"Just where do you think you are going," The Rogue questioned with anger pouring out from his body language.

The Prince wasn't one to waste time on unnecessary talks,  so he gave a not so pleasant answer, in the form of a large flame that engulfed the Rogue and made a wall separating he and JJ  from the claws of the torturers.

He picked up JJ and ran away with the not so much power he had left. While ensuring that a wall of fire stayed as a shield from the harsh environment of rogues that surrounded them.

Sprinting as fast as he could with JJ in hand was harder than he thought, as his energy had been drained away. Stumbling around,  looking for a sign of an exit proved harder than expected.

The girl on his hand shot out as if electrocuted. She grabbed him on his forearms and began mumbling quiet words.

He attempted to understand what she was saying but couldn't, as she spoke too softly. Her expression still remained blank as she jumped away from his hands, startling him. Before he could recover, she was already running down, back to the hole where the cells were located.

The Prince hissed in silent anger at the girl, he just didn't get her at all.

He rushed after her silently, trying not to bring attention to their selves.

He reached the cells just in time to realize what JJ had been up to.

It didn't take him long to snap out of his surprise and he began to help the frantic girl out.

Picking up the other keys from the knocked out guard on the floor, he began opening the cells from the opposite end where JJ hadn't reached yet.

It didn't take long before the doors were opened and every prisoner began flooding out.

He searched the crowd of prisoners for JJ and couldn't find her, to say he was frustrated was an understatement to what he actually felt. He was close to running away and leaving the dumb girl behind;  but who was he kidding, if he actually did that, knowing himself, he would end up coming back for her.

On reaching the end of the hallway, where the last cell resided, he found her past out in the hands of the werewolf girl who was held
in the opposite cell to theirs.

Hurrying to the girl, he quickly took hold of JJ, not bothering to thank the girl. She didn't worth his thanks, on the contrary;  it was he who needed to be thanked, as he would have been out of here already if not for the dumb girl in his hands.

Running out of the hole, he immediately bumped into the female witch who sneered at him with contempt.

Her eyes immediately went black, she was someone with no patience at all, but neither was the prince.

She cajoled a white light from her hands and sent it straight to the prince, but he was able to easily avoid it. She raised her hands up with the intention of doing something really terrible,  but out of nowhere,  the werewolf girl appeared tackling the Witch to the ground.

He didn't have the energy to physically combat with her, so he did what came easy to him. He ignited a hot boiling lava, he didn't burn her skin, no,  the prince couldn't let her off that easily.

He made the lava into her blood streams. The expression: Her blood boiled was literal here, for he boiled her blood.

The place was in chaos, he ran looking for a way out when he was called upon by the werewolf girl who directed them to the exit, and not long after that,  they found themselves in the forest running to freedom.

The prince stared into the eyes of JJ, wondering what exactly had happened to her. Why did the death of the soul bender affect her so much?

Her eyes had frozen over like the surface of a winter puddle, robbing them of their usual warmth.

"She is in there," he whispered to himself.

He knew she was in there, but it looked like she took a huge step back from life. He wanted to reach in and tell her it wasn't hopeless,  he wanted to tell her that they had escaped. He wanted to rekindle her heat, but her insides were to damp with unshed tears.

This was her way of dealing with her pain, no one could get her out: No one could help her out of her grief, no one could help her out of her trauma,  no one, except herself.

She had been a foolish human for too long, what had happened to her  could even scar the greatest supernatural.  But JJ had been just a mere human being, who had not shed even a single tear at the turn out of the circumstances.

The prince trekked the forest with JJ on his shoulder while following the lead of the wolf girl. He hadn't bothered to ask her name,  he didn't care. The girl already knew his name,  of course;  who didn't know his name.

Valkyries are considered the biggest supernatural. So it wasn't weird that the Valkyrie guardian had been well known.

She led them to her pack, the Blue moon pack in hopes of getting JJ to a healer or at least get her to rest a little before Achilie  arrives.
